What is causing Firefox to forcibly minimize fullscreen programs when Firefox itself is minimized?

Have looked this up before and Mozilla has had no solution to it that i have found.

This does not help, either that is only one solution to it and other bookmarks are doing it aswell or that is not the problem.

There is a lagtime of at least several seconds before Firefox responds to any input (scroll bar, mouse over hyperlink, type in textbox, etc.), but the problem isn't showing up in any other apps. Today is your lucky day! I was planning on posting about this tomorrow, but will do so now. In fact, I started to have a similar problem with Chrome, even though it didn't manifest itself in quite the same way as in FF8. Somebody suggested doing changing the margins in the scroll event, and, after a bit of fiddling with it today, I fixed it in Chrome. On a hunch, I tried turning Hardware Acceleration on again in FF8, and, amazingly, that problem was fixed as well! So, here's the code I wrote - well, pseudo-code, since I'm at home and don't have the source handy:

The only way I see that you can resolve this problem is that you need to uninstall the What About:... Add-on. See the instructions below:
In order to uninstall a possibly unwanted extension (addon), please do the following:
#Click the menu button [[Image:New Fx Menu]] and choose Add-ons.
#Once the Add-on Manager has opened in a new tab, click the ''Extensions'' button on the left side of the window.
#You should now see a list of your installed extensions on the right side together with buttons on the right side of each extension.
#To remove an extension from Firefox, simply click the Remove button. You should see a message that informs you about the successful removal of the add-on.
#Note that some add-ons require a Firefox restart to be removed completely. To perform a Firefox restart after the add-on removal, click the ''Restart now'' link in the message.

What would cause Firefox to request a resource multiple times after a long running script?

I'm noticing some unusual behavior in Firefox when I include an image directly after a call to an external script which is long-running.
For example:

I notice that when a request to test.gif results in a 404 or 302, Firefox makes another request for that same resource immediately after the script has completed.

This behavior doesn't occur for inline javascript, and I have pipelining turned off, so I'm fairly certain it's not related to that. Seems like odd behavior, or I'm just missing something not-so-obvious. Any ideas?

What would cause characters to be replaced by glyphs when printing a PDF via PostScript driver?

When printing PDFs to our laser printers, occasionally a PDF will degrade, with many characters being replaced by little square glyphs. It never happens on the first page, but usually within the first ten pages if it is going to. The file will cause the same effect on similar printers, and is exclusive to PostScript- the PCL driver will print the file as expected. There is nothing visibly wrong in the PDF, and I am trying to isolate the cause of this problem. Once it starts the problem can get worse, but I've never seen it get better or "work itself out". The sample above is a scan of the output, and the original PDF was version 1.4, the printer is an HP Laserjet 9050dn

That problem appeared different than this. The symptom there was that the screen looked like an old time tv with Horizontal phase lock missing, as series of lines looking sort of like this only extending from top to bottom of screen as un broken lines:

Thats still within the 32-95*F operating range. Just try a hard reset and see if it still freezes. Hold both power and home buttons until the apple logo appears (ignore the power off slider).

What error messages are displayed to a different program when login fails

I am trying to use an LDAP Realm and iPlanet Directory server for authentication with WebLogic 6.1. When I try to authenticate to the WebLogic server using an account with an expired password, I get only a Login Exception.
My question is is there any method to get back a more meaningful message when the password is expired or the account is locked or other situations similar to that so I can throw back an appropriate message to the user.
I am not sure if this message is appropriate to be posted in this forum, but any help would be really appreciated.

This is a coding issue in the form, maybe the number is too big for the box on the canvas.
It looks also like a business issue is kicking off the error, the message [640+49> 688] looks like some units of stock etc. check, e.g. the returned quantity is larger than the stock on hand.
File an SR with OracleSupport and/or open the UI's Form fmb code in Forms Developer.
Multi View relates to an (quite old) OracleRetail (Retek) Forms pll library that enhances the Forms features, if my memory is not letting me down.

Server is responding with a 406 but xhr.status is showing 200, what could cause this if all exts and add-ons disabled?

I am using jQuery 2.1.0 with Firefox 24.5.0. Firefox restarted in safe mode, all add-ons and exts are disabled. I placed some debugging code in jQuery.ajaxTransport to log xhr.status. I open Web Developer -> (Console and Network), I can see a server 406 response which is showing a 200 for xhr.status.
What can cause this? What can cause Firefox to map a 406 to 200?

Additional Information: Windows 7 the HTTP Request was a POST and contained JSON in both the request and response.

Firefox 5.0 is supposed to have a separaret Twitter tab, but I noticed today that that tab is missing. What is causing this problem?

Firefox version 5.0 has a separate Twitter tab built into this web browser. However, today I have been having problems with launching the Firefox browser. An error message appears, after attempting to launch the browser, which states that the Firefox browser is already running, and that the process needs to be closed or that the computer needs to be restarted. After restarting my computer and launching the Firefox browser, I noticed that the built-in Twitter tab ( near the upper left-hand corner of the browser ) was missing. What is causing these problems?

I'm pretty sure that Firefox version 5.0 has a built-in Twitter tab. Whatever the case may be, I downloaded Firefox version 5.0.1 this morning. I learned that if you right-click on a tab, that a menu box will appear on the screen. One of the options in that menu box is "Pin as App Tab." If I go to the http://twitter.com web site, and then right-click on the corresponding Twitter tab, and then select "Pin as App Tab," then a small Twitter tab will appear to the right of the orange-and-white "Firefox" tab ( in the upper left-hand corner of the Firefox web browser screen ). Then I can click on that Twitter tab and go directly to the http://twitter.com web site. However, when I exit the Firefox version 5.0.1 web browser, and then immediately re-launch it, the separate Twitter tab is gone. I think it is Adobe Reader XI and I have Windows 8. It has happened with a couple different PDF files. I have experienced the problem when trying to use the "draw a circle" tool as well as the "add text callout" - I have drawn some circles without a problem. Sometimes what happens is I try to draw the circle (or the other one), and nothing happens, it is as if the page doesn't realize I clicked or dragged the mouse. Then when I try clicking somewhere else in Adobe Reader it is frozen/"not responding" and I have to force close the program. When I open it again it tries to restore the changes that I had made since the last time I saved but it doesn't always recover it. I have not tried the repair option - what is that?

What would cause a Firefox 3.6.13 user to have typed entries dissapear?

Firefox 3.6.13 works great for all the clients of my site. However, 1 client with 3.6.13 cannot even log in - his typed User ID simply disappears and he goes no further. I have cleared his cookies and cache, but no luck. What could cause this error?

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.

Is it possible to create a shortcut to a website which will cause firefox to open in fullscreen

I am wondering if it is possible to create a windows shortcut which will not only open a specific website in firefox but also cause firefox to open in fullscreen (F11), for that session only.
Can it be done?

long press your home screenand select "shortcut." IF you can do it then the "documents to go document" will be an option. some apps i have allow for such shortcuts (scanner radio favorite stations, etc) but most do not. if i had to guess, i will say no. but i don't have docs to go. i know pdf viewer doesn't do this. you can add folders, so maybe that would be an option? you'd still have to touch the phone at least twice though.

What is causing a partial green screen when displaying (youtube) video (except fullscreen)?

Whenever I am watching any Youtube vids, the screen always seems like the colours are split up into a "green overlay" and the remaining colours are washed out. At the bottom of the video sits a green bar and the picture looks "double..."This is very anoying, and the problem does not happen when I use Chrome or Explorer (wich I actually do not want to use) The problem sometimes dissapears when I am watching in full screen mode
No idea what is causing this...
If needed I can upload a screenshot, but I am not sure how to do so here...

If you see a green square instead of the Flash player then the player failed to create an overlay and you only see the green placeholder.
You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
*Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
You need close and restart Firefox after toggling this setting.

I can't click on the icons at the top of a site. What's causing this?

I have firefox and it's having a strange problem today. When I'm on facebook, I can't click on the icons at the top. I can't click the message, friend request, notifications, home, profile icons and can't click the one that allows you to sign out. So i can't even sign out. What I mean by can't click is when I put the cursor over those icons, it doesn't change into the finger. When I left click it anyway, nothing happens. This doesn't happen in internet explorer, but I want to keep using firefox. What's causing this? I also noticed that this doesn't just happen on facebook. I've uninstalled and reinstalled firefox. I restarted the PC. It didn't help.
