What is default light? I don't add a light source but my scene is lit

Hi,
I'm a newbie, here is my problem:
I don't add a light source but my scene is lit. I try out demos, for example, TickTockPick, and remove light sources, scene is unlit, dark. but this doesn't happen on my application. it is as if there is a default ambient light. but there isn't, at least I do not create lights.

Some objects are affected by light and others are not depending on their material properties and vertex normals. If they are not affected by light, no light objects need to be added to the scene and they appear uniformly lit (no variation in the colors). ColorCube is an example of an object not affected by lights.
If you do add a light object to the scene (ambient, directional, spot, etc) they will create lighting effects on objects that do have material properties and vertex normals. The lighting affects include diffuse, specular and emissive. These light effects change the way the colors appear. There is a good explanation in the Java3D tutorial.

You can view the purchase history on your account : if you log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option, you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it. Click on that and you should then see a list of your purchases (the most recent is above the list).
If you don't recognise the charge (and nobody else has access to your account or devices and may have made it) then you can try contacting iTunes Support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

How to upgrade my add on to support firefox 4 and above ? what changes needs to be done?

I have an add on currently it is supporting only below firefox 4 versions. What changes needs to be done to support firefox 4 and above?
Is there any reference to specify the list of differences? How to upgrade addon to support future version?

Detect what the default edit form is for a document library and list using jquery

Hi,
So what I have done is with some jquery made it that when a files are dragged and dropped into a document library and there is a required field such as "Metadata" the EditForm.aspx opens up for the user to fill in the required column. I am building
the url up from what I have found in SharePoints DragDrop.js file. This is all working perfectly I just need to find a way to dynamically find what the default edit form is for that document library as I have just hardcoded like this...
g_currentControl.strSiteUrl + "/" + this.ListName + "/Forms/EditForm.aspx?ID=" + id
So I need a way to figure out what the default edit form is instead of hard coding like this in case someone creates a custom_editform.aspx or something for one of the lists.

What is default(1).aspx and why is it preventing me from accessing hotmail account?

After I enter my username and password at hotmail.com sign in, I recieve a message saying 'default(1).aspx is missing and it tries to download. Then an error saying it cannot read file. Sometimes I can access mail but mostly not.

If you add other accounts to the Messages app after activating the iMessages account then by default (if you don't name them in the Description box) that take the name of the Service they join up to the point you have a second AIM valid Name or a second Jabber valid Name.
In My List my accounts are Named in the Description Box
AIM is Aol Instant Messenger so the Add Screen Shows AOL. You will see in the right hand pane under Account Info it says it is AIM.
You will see in the list several others are also AIM Valid accounts.
If you don't Name them yourself then the account info is used (like the iMessages one) when you have two or more for that service.
Google and Facebook run Jabber servers.
They are unlikely to work with a Hotmail ID (which is MSN and not Native to the Messages app).
You seem to have Added an Account as Google and tried to use a Hotmail ID
As the Google Servers only allow IDs that end @Googlemail.com or @gmail.com it will not work and you will be "Off Line".
The ID is "accepted" when you type it in as it conforms to an email Address.
Japib has their Facebook account called chat.facebook.com which happens to be the server name and that it how it appears in the list on the left in their Pic. It will also be in the Window Menu like that.

Many thanks Brett, but probably I wasn't clear enough about my problem.
I know that I'm able to include some notes, or to highlight paragraph; what I want to know if is it possible to make a summary of the book; or add additional features such as Publisher, if I read or not; language, etc. And show in the information for each book … In the application there's only: title, author, genre … How can add additional features as a reference for the ebook as a whole, and see them at the same level of the author, genre, etc.
For example
BOOK A AUTHOR BRETT L PHILOSOPHY ENGLISH TO READ iTUNES STORE
The first three items are the default items … what I want to include is the others (as an example) … And create a box or something to make a summary of the book.
Sorry for the bothering … but I was (and I suppose I'm not the only one) very comfortable with iTunes format for Music; but iBooks lost quite everything compared to iTunes; and it looks like a mere Kindle application.

How much data does a cellular iPad use ? The numbers in usage don't add up

WWhere has all the data space gone? I have 2 yr. old iPad running iOS 8. It has 16 GB storage and has cellular capability that I'm not using. Usage settings tell me I have about 1 GB of storage left. I have added up the usage numbers including 1.1 GB for iOS and come up with a total of 4.91. The numbers don't add up. Am I missing something that does not show up in the usage settings? Thanks

Thanks for your reply however my problem is after adding up all apps and iOS using data storage I come up with about 5GB storage used. The iPad says there is only 1 GB of storage left. That would be a total of 6 GB. What happened to the rest of the storage space on my 16 GB ipad ? Thanks

Activity monitor memory numbers don't add up

Activity Monitor reports that I have 7.99 GB of memory in use. However, the numbers for individual processes don't add up to nearly that large of a number. What could be causing such a huge disparity between those two? Is there something I'm missing (and yes, I have it set to show all processes)?

For one the File Cache is not included in the process display as the use of the file cache is system wide. It is also not shown in the kernel usage.
At the moment Activity monitor for my system shows the Kernel using 1.019 GB of real memory, the File cache at 2.95 GB.
There may well be other memory allocations that are system wide function and services that are not readily attributable or allocatable to individual processes. If you look at the screen shot above:
Memory Used = App memory + File Cache + Wired memory.
I suspect that App Memory = the sum of the Proceess Real memory column

I checked and found that the router did not have the latest firmware.   It does now.   The issue is still there.   I did a little research and found that the model number of my Apple TV (MC572LL/A) shows that it is a 2G version which uses the A4 chip.   The latest version uses the A5 chip and is 1080 capable. Both are supposed to be capable of using type "N" routers.   I don't think that should be an issue but I wonder if later updates may have introduced some issues in the 2G version.
I am going to try changing the "N" channel also- just to see if that makes any difference. The istumbler app does not show any "N" networks in my area so it is defaulting to 149.   I will note that even 1 foot away from the router I only get 75-85% for signal.   I would expect it to be 100% since it is so close.   I am also seeing noise go up from typically 13% to 21% when it is on channel 3 and that close.       I will play change locations and channels and see if there is any improvement.

I don't believe there is a default, you need to enter a code to enable parental control. if you've forgotten it, you'll need to restore.

What do the lights on the front indicate

I have read and searched and can't find the answer to this. I have 5 different lights on the front of the laptop, 3 are white and don't blink, one was amber and didn't blink but it now white and does blink, the 5th is a solid amber.
For no good reason, after the computer updated yesterday we lost our internet connection and it appeared the network card as well. This morning when I turned it on again, the computer logged on to the network no problem. I don't understand this and wonder if the lights are supposed to tell me something that I don't know.

The Quick Tour Guide that came with your machine explains (with pictures) what all those lights (called System Indicator Lights) are for and different places in your User Guide indicates how they may vary under certain circumstances.
Starting from the left:
!. AC Power light On when power plugged in.
2. Computer On/Off light. Normally white when on but will blink orange if computer is in sleep mode.
3. Battery Light. White when fully charged, User's Guide explains when not fully charged. See pages 47 and 48 of
the User's Guide.
4. HDD Activity light. Off when HDD idle, blinking when HDD active.
5. Memory Card Reader light (Only on certain models).
6. Wireless indicator light. Orange when wireless on. No light when wireless off.

What do the lights on the front of my NB-205 mean?

I know what the plug icon means (plugged into the wall). I know the wifi symbol means I'm connected to wifi. I know what the battery light means (though I don't know when it turns on). The rest of the lights are a complete puzzle to me, however. Does anyone know what they mean (from left to right)?

gmreplay, the users manual should explain which LED is for what.
Usually;
The power cord LED is to indicate DC IN power
The Circle-line LED is to indicate if the System is turned On or Off
The Battery LED is to indicate the battery is charged or full
The Platter/Disk LED is to indicate HDD/SSD activity
Tom, I dont think you can turn down the brightness. You'll need to apply some transparent colored sticky tape.
