What is it called? Templated Sequence?

I am struggling trying to determine the name/concept of what I am trying to do:
Is it possible to create a sequence (or other object) that I can define properties/filters so I can easily replace the media with different media file?
For example, I have many photographs that I can process to all be the same size (dimensions). If I define a sequence that will animate 50 images, defining movement, scale (zoom), etc., can I easily change out the 50 image files with another set? So that I can quickly create moving/animated image sequences.
It seems this should be possible. My searches are not yeilding results.
Thanks for the help

You can make this happen yourself.
Picture this. You have a directory with 50 images that you used in a Premiere Pro project.You planned ahead so the names of the files look like A0001 though A00050. (other wise you will have to find 50 files instead of finding one and letting the software do the rest.
Once you are done with that project, Move the directory or rename it. You don't want Premiere Pro to find it where it was before.
Take a copy of the project file and put it into the new directory structure. What you want to happen is that when you open the program, Premiere Pro can't find the media, but when you tell it that the files are in a particular directory, it find the 50 pictures with the names A0001 though A00050 and be perfectly happy to open. You then make any last minute adjustments and export.
Repeat as desired.

    I downloaded a template once, and certain areas of each page,
    are link to another page. Meaning that say there is a menu bar on
    each page, if i need to change a link i only need to change one a
    special page that is dedicated to the menu, when i change it, it
    changes all the pages.
    can someone tell me how this is done, what it is called and

  • What The Heck Is A Sequence?

    I've recently graduated from Premiere Elements to Premiere Pro. Congratulations to me!!
    To get up to speed, I've been watching quite a few videos and reading books, and one thing that keeps popping up is the concept of "sequences". But everybody just seems to assume you know what a sequence is.
    I don't. From what I can gather, a sequence just seems to be a bunch of clips grouped together? But I'm not even sure about that concept.
    What I'm really not sure of is what they are useful for. For example, when would I use a sequence versus just a regular old clip? If I put a sequence on the timeline, and then change the sequence, is that change automatically reflected on the timeline? Does everybody just usually use clips, or do sequences offer some advantages?
    Also, I'm not sure if this is a related question or not, but Pro also appears to have multiple timelines. Elements only has one, so I'm not sure how multiple timelines would be used and if that has something to do with sequences.
    Sorry if this are newbie questions!

    A sequence is something that exists within a project, it's a "timeline with layers" - the same as you'd have in Flash.
    Think of it this way, let's suppose you're creating a series of TV ads for a client. They want five ads, each with variations on the content.
    The whole thing would go in one project, purely so you can keep track of things.
    All your footage, titles, graphical overlays etc are items in the project bin.
    You'd create five sequences in the project, one per ad. The settings for a sequence decide the final output, so it's the sequence that decides things like the frame dimensions and frame rate. Whatever you put on the sequence is transcoded to fit those settings, so if your sequence is set to 24fps and you drop on some 60fps video, it'll be resampled to 24. The only thing that isn't dome automatically is resizing.
    On each sequence you'd assemble sections of your raw footage - these sections are 'clips' as in the old days of film you were clipping out a section of film from a larger reel. In Premiere you select the clip from the footage item by opening it in the source monitor and setting in/out points, or by dropping the entire thing onto the timeline and trimming it.
    Sequences by default have one video track, but you can add more - that's how you layer things on top of each other, such as putting a lower third graphic over your video. If there's a gap in a layer, whatever's below it shows through (if there's nothing on any layer you'll render black).
    If you had a series of clips which were common to every ad (such as the final message) you can create that as a separate sequence and place the sequence inside the others. Premiere is happy to treat a sequence the same as a regular chunk of video, so you can cut out sections and reuse them. This is called 'nesting' and when the master sequence is edited, all the reused copies reflect that change.
    You would then export each sequence  to make the final collection of videos.
    You can import a copy of a sequence from one project into another by running the import command on your new project and selecting the old the project file (.prproj) - Premiere will list everything in the file and you can pick what to import. The source clips will import automatically when you import a sequence. Remember that nothing is embedded in the project file, all the source footage is read from the original media - so copying a sequence doesn't copy the video itself.

  • XML-23002: (Error) internal xpath error while calling template

    Hi,
    I have used call-template named Chemloop in my xslt in the following way as attached in the xsl file. But when I am testing this xsl file through the bpel transformation, getting the error XML-23002: (Error) internal xpath error. Using this xslt I am converting a flat file into a xml file. My xslt except the call template part is working fine. Please suggest me if I m doing anything wrong.

    I can't get what are you trying to achieve by a construction like bellow...
    /alcebo:DeliveryDetail[position()]
    Remember XSLT is not a procedural language... a selector like /alcebo:DeliveryDetail[position() = $var] or just /alcebo:DeliveryDetail[$var] would make more sense...
    Cheers,

  • I had something that help me find the last pages and recentpages I visited but I had to reinstall fox fire and it's gone how do i get it back and what was it call

    I open a new tab and recent pages, last pages and most visited pages, would be displayed but I had to uninstall fox fire then reinstall and now it gone. How do I get that back? What was it call.

    You have probably simply opened a blank Layout template which has no default text area. In Layout documents you need to add textboxes to the page.
    Just start over from the Tempalet Chooser and pick a Word Processing document (see the sidebar titles) or a template with actual content in it already.

  • What is it called when you do this?

    What is it called when you have something similar to a blog where you have your code say, let there be 5 posts, and after 5 posts create a new page to put the other posts on that page so there is only 5 per page?
    I'm not really sure how to search that so I can learn how it's done.
    I'm using Repeating Template Regions so if anyone can either tell me what it's called or link me to a good tutorial that would help me that would be great!
    Basically what I'm hoping is that I can press the little "+" on my Repeating Template Region and once there is more than a specific number of the regions, the excess will continue onto another page that I can link to.
    (Side Question... Anyway to organize these regions in Alphabetical order?)
    - Thanks!

    It's called pagination
    There are server behaviors in Dreamweaver to do this.
    MySQL queries use the ORDER BY argument to ORDER BY alphabetically or numberically either in ascending or descending order.
    example:
    SELECT table_column, table_column2
    FROM table_name
    WHERE table_column = 'something'
    ORDER BY table_column ASC

  • How to call a sequence in a new thread from C++ dll

    Here is what I am trying to do:
    I implemented a dll that monitors network traffic, and it also supports message handlers that can be triggered when a specific message has been received. Essentially the receipt of a message is like an event causing additional code to be executed. What I need to do is have the message handler in the dll call/execute a sequence (either is the same sequence file that originally called the dll, or in a different sequence file). Also I want the sequence to be executed within the same execution object for the purpose of result collection and report generation. I am expecting the dll to have to launch a new thread to call a sequence because of the asynchronous nature of the message received event.
    There are easier ways to achieve the same result, but one of my goals is to make it easy for a test developer to configure a message handler, by having only one step in their sequence to configure the message handler. I want the rest to be transparent to the user.
    I am unsure about how to implement this feature, so I am asking for any examples, ideas, comments before I start trying things out.

    Assuming that I understand your question correctly, it would seem to be the best way to do this would be to pass the Execution object to the DLL (either through a direct pass of the Execution object or passing the sequence context, from which you can get the Execution).  Then simply call Execution.NewThread, specifying the SequenceFile object (accessible from Engine.GetSequenceFileEx) and then passing the Thread object out as an output.  Your sequence file in which your DLL is called could then simply have a Wait step which is configured to wait on that Thread object.  What happens in this case is that the results are collected for that thread (which is being executed asynchronously) and returned as the results for the Wait step.
    Although you are probably not using LabVIEW, I have attached an example of this in LabVIEW that might be helpful just for seeing the flow.

  • What are these called?

    Hi,
    I am trying to figure out what this element is?  Since I dont know what its actually called I have to provide a picture for my example.
    What are these elements called?  I have pointed to them in my image with the red arrows.  Im pretty sure the horizontal ones are  a "horizontal rule".  But what about the vertical ones?  And how does one implement them in a site?  http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g29/FartyMcFly/Example.jpg
    Thanks for any answers in advance and I apologize if its something stupidly simple.
    Thanks

    How do I set the length of the border lines.
    I'm afraid there is no support for that in current CSS2 standards.
    You will be able to do it with CSS3 border-images.  But not for a few more years.
    http://www.css3.info/preview/border-image/
    In the meantime, you could put your border on a neighboring division -- see example below:

  • Inline XSLT Call Template within Scripting Functoid logic needed

    In my Scripting Functoid, Config Functoid Script, Script type is Inline XSLT Call Template code is as follows.
    <xsl:template name="CanadaInformation">
    <xsl:param name="CanadaClientCd" />
    <xsl:param name="CanadaStatCd" />
    <xsl:element name="CanadaStatus">
       <xsl:choose>
          <xsl:when test="string-length($CanadaStatCd) > 0">
               <xsl:value-of select="$CanadaStatCd"/>
           </xsl:when>
           <xsl:otherwise>
               <xsl:value-of select="$CanadaClientCd"/>
           </xsl:otherwise>
        </xsl:choose>
       </xsl:element>
    </xsl:template>
    In this test case I think the Scripting Functoid is expecting 2 Parameters as input and in most cases the 2 input parameters will have data coming in, but in negative testing I have a case where the 2nd parameter is not passing any data (Value Mapping is
    coming from a Table lookup and the the input is blank, so the table lookup is not executed).
    Instead of trying to test for the length of the string of Parm 2 (which in the negative case there is no value for Parm2), I was wondering if there was a way to count the actual number of Parms being read into the XSLT. In the cases with my positive test,
    the number will be 2 and in the negative case, the number will be one.
    Or is there a way to confirm that there is something in the 2nd Parm.
    Thank you!

    I don't think there is a way count the number of parameter in XSLT (or even in any programing language's procedural calls). Where would execute the code/XSLT to check the count-With in your above "CanadaInformation" template?. What your looking for
    is something at engine level, i.e. is count the number of parameters being read and pass the control based on the number of parameters being read/passed.
    Or close option for this if you have something like overloaded functions/template. In XSLT we don't have anything like overloaded functions/templates.
    If you don't pass/link two parameter, you would error as "The number of inputs to the scripting functoid does not match with the number of inputs expected by the xsl:call-template"
    Your above code shall do the check for value of the parameter. Your code shall handle if "CanadaStatCd" is passed in or not. If you're considering other ways, you have some as follows:
    You can have "<xsl:when test="not($CanadaStatCd)">"- Which is same as parameter not being passed. So your code can be something like:
    <xsl:template name="CanadaInformation">
    <xsl:param name="CanadaClientCd" />
    <xsl:param name="CanadaStatCd" />
    <xsl:element name="CanadaStatus">
    <xsl:choose>
    <xsl:when test="not($CanadaStatCd)"> <!-- parameter has not been supplied -->
    <xsl:value-of select="$CanadaClientCd"/>
    </xsl:when>
    <xsl:otherwise>
    <xsl:value-of select="$CanadaStatCd"/>
    </xsl:otherwise>
    </xsl:choose>
    </xsl:element>
    </xsl:template>
    Have a default values to your parameter and check whether the values are differernt from default values if values are passed in otherwise if the value are still default value, then no value are passed in. Something like:
    <xsl:template name="CanadaInformation">
    <xsl:param name="CanadaClientCd" />
    <xsl:param name="CanadaStatCd" select="'SomeDefaultValue'" /> <!-- SET default -->
    <xsl:element name="CanadaStatus">
    <xsl:choose>
    <xsl:when test="$prefix != 'default-value'">
    <xsl:value-of select="$CanadaStatCd"/>
    </xsl:when>
    <xsl:otherwise>
    <xsl:value-of select="$CanadaClientCd"/>
    </xsl:otherwise>
    </xsl:choose>
    </xsl:element>
    </xsl:template>
    Have another scripting fuctiod before you call the above XSLT-template. Do the check at this scripting function and call the template based on the validation you do at this scripting functiod.

  • Blue line for layout (what are they called)

    In pages, when you open a template or pre-made document, there are blue lines on the Y and x-axis that help outline the page. What are those called and how do I add them to my “new” document.

    Welcome to Apple Discussions
    They are called Alignment Guides & you can enable them in Preferences. You can also change the color by clicking in the blue box to bring up the color picker. I think they are on with all of the templates, including the blank one, but may not be with imported documents.

    Presumably the mains cable, which you can get from an Apple Store.

    All you need is a plug adaptor, if required. Apple sells an adapter kit:

  • I'd like to toggle between the source and timeline and bypass the program tab - what is this called in the shortcut tab?

    When editing, I have to press my shortcut twice to get back to the source window as it goes via the program monitor first. Is there an assignable shortcut just between the timeline and source? If so, what is it called?

    If so many people have the same question and concern about this, why is it consistently ignored?  I've seen countless posts like this that are told to ignore the logs or to only dump when asked to. How can those of us that have these questions get an answer?  Can I im someone who can help me or are they being ignored because it it evidence that our devices have been jailbroken without our knowledge?
    If you can point me in the direction of someone who is willing to help I would greatly appreciate it!
    Thanks in advance!

  • XSLT Mapping - problem with prefixes when calling template

    Hi all,
    I am having a problem with using an XSLT mapping in XI to combine various fields from 2 input messages of different structures into a single output message.  I understand that XI puts a wrapper around the 2 input messages so the structure of the XML I am mapping is:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <ns2:Messages xmlns:ns2="http://sap.com/xi/XI/SplitAndMerge">
    <ns2:Message1>
    <ns:(root of first message)>
    </ns:(root of first message)>
    </ns2:Message1>
    <ns2:Message2>
    <ns:(root of second message)>
    </ns: (root of second message)>
    </ns2:Message2>
    </ns2:Messages>
    Currently my XSL looks like the following:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <xsl:stylesheet xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" xmlns:ns="http://example.co.uk/example" xmlns:ns2="http://sap.com/xi/XI/SplitAndMerge" xmlns:javamap="java:systemDate.CurrentDate" version="2.0">
    <xsl:output method="xml" version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"/>
    <xsl:param name="inputparam"/>
    <xsl:template match="ns2:Messages">
    ...<xsl:calltemplate name="FormattingTemplate"/>
    </xsl:template>
    <xsl:template name="FormattingTemplate">
    </xsl:template>
    </xsl:stylesheet>
    When I test the mapping it works fine until it calls the FormattingTemplate.  Then it throws out a "transformer exception" error saying the prefix 'ns2' is not mapped to a namespace.
    If anyone could tell me where I am going wrong I would be very grateful.
    Thanks,
    Mike

    Hi Udo,
    Thanks for your reply.
    When testing the stylesheet locally with XMLSpy, it works fine, but I have just noticed that it adds information in the root tag of the target message as follows:
    <(root of target message) xmlns:javamap="java:systemDate.CurrentDate" xmlns:ns="http://example.co.uk/example" xmlns:ns2="http://sap.com/xi/XI/SplitAndMerge">
    I checked the root tag of the target message in XI and it does not automatically add this information. Thus I added it in my stylesheet so the information above is projected in the target message, but the same error message appears when the call template function is called.  Do you know if I need to somehow add a namespace to templates other than the main one? If so, do you know how I go about doing that?
    Thanks,
    Mike

  • How do I put shortcuts to web sites in a (?) tool bar/browser bar...don't know what it is called. With IE, I can just drag the tab for the site to the area I want.

    How do I put shortcuts to web sites in a (?) tool bar/browser bar...don't know what it is called. With IE, I can just drag the tab for the site to the area I want

    Near the right-end of the address bar is a white star which can be difficult to see, but look closely. When you wish to bookmark a shortcut to the toolbar, double click the star. A window will open with the name of the webpage. Under that is the folder box which will probably read 'Unsorted Bookmarks'. Click the drop down arrow and change it to 'Bookmarks Toolbar' then click done.
    I have several folders on my toolbar such as Music, Mail, etc. in which I add multiple websites. If you wish to add a folder, click the second drop down arrow next to 'Bookmark Toolbar' and click 'New Folder' and give it a name.
    To add a bookmark to a folder, again double click the star, make sure you are in Bookmark Toolbar and click one of the two drop down arrows to find the name of the folder.
    For other bookmarks use Bookmark Menu. Whatever is added here can be accessed by Bookmarks on the Menu Bar. If your Menu Bar with Bookmark, File, View, etc. is not visible, click the Alt key and they will become visible. To keep the Menu Bar, click View, Toolbars and check Menu Bar.
