What is the BT Infinity installation complaint pho...

It's in the subject, really. We had BT Infinity installed three days ago and aside from the router having died already (Type A orange power light of death) and a replacement winging its way over, I want to complain about the installation work done. I would like either a phone number to action this or for one of the moderators here to pick up this complaint and action it immediately.
I should have checked it at the time, but yesterday as I was bringing my bins in I checked the work done on the outside of my house to put the cables through the wall for BT Infinity. The engineer who did the job has managed to completely smash up the brick he's gone through, with large chunks having sheared off and just been left behind bushes in front of my property. For comparison, just next to the BT entry point is work done by Sky engineers who managed not to cause damage.
The bloke was a contractor (MJ Quinn integrated services), not a BT employee, and I understand these cowboys are paid per job so it's in their interest to rush. I have however confirmed with my solicitors that since my dealings were with BT, BT are responsible for the damage caused.

lol thats a blowout. They do happen though especially if a lot of pressure is applied to the drill and you happen to be going through the middle of a brick. The installer should have at least applied silicone to the hole and tried to put the brick back together. Sky bloke was lucky in coming out where he did otherwise the same could have happened to him.

    I am writing this email as I am wanting to know what is the best route of complaint regarding the attempted installation of my new BT Infinity 2 connection.
    An engineer from Kelly Communications visited my home a few days ago to install my new BT Home Hub, he hadnt been here 10 minutes before he informed that he needed to nip outside and do some work on my line from the CAB booth at the end of my street. 30 minutes later he returned to say he had unfortunately broken my landline connection and could not fix it or install my Infinity broadband connection, he assured me that a BT engineer would visit the same day and fix the problem and install my internet. 
    Nobody arrived and I have been left with no landline and no internet. I assumed they would be along the following day but again nobody visited my home. I then used a friends phone and called BT customer service to sort out the problem, only to be told that it was obviously my fault that my phone line was broken and I was to be charged £180 to fix the problem and that nobody could visit me for the next 5-6 days.
    I am really not happy with the current level of service I have recieved and have no intention of paying to fix a problem that I had no hand in causing, I am writing this email to know who is best to contact to amend this problem in the quickest and most efficient manner possible. 
    Any help would be great as I was really looking forward to what I thought was going to be a good, quality internet service.

  • My rant with the BT Infinity installation process.

    So I began the order with BT Infinity with the given date installation date of 4th October 2012, having holiday
    plans I rescheduled this to Friday 19th October 2012.
    Whilst on holiday I am sent the BT Homehub 3 with no one at home so this was left at the post office for me to pick
    up on return, fair enough.
    However the engineer decides to turn up at my property on the 4th, I'm assuming to finalise the install, however
    already noted on their system the scheduled appointment date was revised for 19th October. Why did the engineer
    decide to turn up with no at home?
    I'm left with a yellow post card asking to call BT back to reschedule an appointment.
    Thursday 18th October I'm emailed the 'About your engineer visit' with times and things to do, having seen this
    email I assume things are good and on track.
    I sit around and wait from 1-6pm with no sign of the engineer, so I decided to call BT at 5:15pm to find out if
    anyone would be turning up.
    After a good 20 minute wait in the queue to get through to someone, they BT represenative said they called BT
    Openreach and that I would have to wait another 45 minutes as the slot is not up yet, and that he promised to give
    me a call back as soon as 6pm hits, suprise, suprise no one turns up and no one calls to tell me what's happening,
    it is now 6pm.
    Now the queue to get through to BT is between 20-30 minutes long as stated by the auto machine, I leave my mobile number for someone to call me back which someone does just before 8pm.
    Having a long discussion with the BT rep I had been informed that 'NO ENGINEER WAS ASSIGNED' for my appointment, this is an unacceptable excuse as I had all the email notifications that someone would be turning up for the install.
    He said the next available appointment would be Wednesday 24th 8am-1pm, which I've agreed to, however the online tracking system still says 19th October with no evidence that it has been rescheduled to the new date.
    How can BT not assign someone, make me wait around for a good whole day and not even give me the courtesy call to tell me that no one would be turning up?
    How am I guaranteed that the next appointment given an engineer will be assigned?
    What are the compenstations for me taking time off work?
    As you can tell I'm not happy with BT and with the way they work.

    Finally managed to get BT installed this morning and ran a speed test.
    Getting 53mb dl, 8mb up.
    I should be getting 18mb up but only getting 8mb, do I have to wait 10 days for everything to stablise or can I call through to raise a fault?
    I'm directly connected via ethernet running these tests, no other computers connected.
    Nothing downloading/uploading in the background either.

  • What is the HRMS Component "Installation Table" for?

    Hi All,
    This may be a junior question but confuse me for a long time. In PSFT HRMS, there is a component "Installation Table" ( setup HRMS>Install>Installation Table). In the first page "Products", there are some setup options, like Installed Products,Installed GP Countries ... I am not clear what my setup here will affect. For example, I also can see those payroll elements related to Thai even if I don't select Thai in Installed GP Countries.
    Please give some help on my questions above. Thanks!

    Can somebody tell me what selecting a product here actually does? Does it hide menu's / pages, not let you run specific processes?
    I can't find that it really does anything.

  • What is the best Java installer??

    Hi,
    I know this is not exactly a programing question,but I am writing a small desktop application which I want to distribute on CD.
    To make it look as professional as possible I would like to use an installer the install the applications on Windows PC's. The problem is I need an installer which can detect if the PC has the JRE installed and if not or it is an out dated version install a newer JRE and then install my application.
    I cannot find an installer capable of doing this - except for installAnywhere which is way to expensive for me.
    Can anyone recommend a good installer to solve this problem?

    problem is that it needs a JRE installed to run and
    some machines wont have one pre-installed.I wouldn't use the users installed JRE even if one exists. Put the JRE you want to use in your application folders and have your application be completely self-contained. That's much more seemless than using an unknown JRE or installing one on the users machine or messing with their existing JRE setup. The user won't even have to know it running in Java.
    There is no need for an 'installed' JRE.

  • Moving Home - Infinity Installation before Phone L...

    I called BT yesterday to arrange my house move and they helpfully arranged an engineer visit on the 18th September to do the installation. Later I received a confirmation email to say that the BT Infinity installation would be on the 18th but the Phone line engineer visit would be on the 20th! Given the current owner has Virgin I suspect the BT infinity engineer will struggle if the phone line isn't connected first.
    I phoned back and spoke to someone who seemed to suggest that it would be resolved on the 20th. When I got BT Infinity installed in my current property it took about a month and 4 engineer visits. Is there anything I can do to reduce the risk of delays beyond the 20th? My wife suggested that I cancel the order and start again from scratch.

    Unfortunately, 2 weeks after my activation date, I'm still no closer to having broadband or a phone line. The problem is that the existing line into my property has some branches of a dead tree resting on them. BT won't do anything until the branches are removed. The tree is the responsibility of my county council who have granted BT permission to cut back the tree. BT have given me 4 different dates when the tree will be cut and each day, when I get home from work, I'm disappointed to see the tree hasn't been touched.
    Luckily I was told that FTTP is dealt with by a specialised team in Dundee which I figured out I could get through to each time by refusing to enter my phone number and pretending I wanted a new phone line. Once I get through to sales, I ask them to transfer me to the FTTP team and it works quite nicely. Before I learnt this trick, I ended up talking to someone who was reading from a script and was unable to help at all. It was always best to politely terminate the call and try again for the Dundee FTTP team who don't appear to blindly follow the script and are actually able to call "the engineers" who I assume means BT Openreach. Eventually someone in Sales gave me the direct number for the Dundee team so no boring IVR menus for me anymore! This helps a lot given I need to call every time I see the tree standing there... mocking me.
    At least I'm getting lots of DIY done without the internet to distract me.
    My guess is that I'll get online in November but will be pleasantly surprised if it happens before then. Thank goodness for unlimited internet on GiffGaff.

  • What does the installation engineer do?

    I have just ordered the BT Infinity Home Hub 3 and have an engineer coming out on the 2nd Jul, but I am wondering what the engineer is actually going to do?
    If it is just pluging in the router and configuring it I am more than capable of doing this and setting up the various PC's and MAC's in the house. If it is just pluging it in and configuring then I would rather not have to work from home that day.
    If this is all they do can I just get the equipment, do a self-setup and cancel the engineer?

    no m the engineer replaces your master socket face plate delivers and installs the OPENREACH modem and connects it to the hub move connection's from the old street cabinet to the new fibre cabinet he also carries out all nesssasary checks to ensure you get the best possible speed there is NO Self install option

    My Complaint:  I have been a Verizon Wireless customer for approx 20 years.  I called customer service to seek an early upgrade for my daughter's phone. She is away in college and her phone is malfunctioning.  She is eligible for an upgrade in approx 6 weeks so I did not want to spend the money on a replacement phone when since we were planning on updating to something newer.  The customer service rep to me they could not do the early upgrade an to call back in a few weeks. After explaining this was unacceptable (I do not like the idea of a young female being out of state and away from home with no reliable means of communication), she places me on hold to later return with the only offer of  I must purchase a new device through her ( over the phone) which will be shipped to me, the phone was priced $100.00 more than the online price (they will not price match), plus i must pay $30.00 upgrade fee, $35.00 activation fee and taxes on the retail price of the phone.  I am upset and disappointed with the quality of service provided by Verizon being a 20 year customer.  If not for the seriousness and urgency of this matter, i would not have asked for an early upgrade.  It is times such as these that you get to see how much of a "valued customer" you really are.   I guess you are valued as long as you pay your bill and continually  purchase their products.  I would like to speak with someone from Verizon's corporate or customer relations department.  As of now I am really considering changing my service to a different provider.  I have multiple accounts with Verizon and i will canx each after the current contract committment expire (starting with my daughter's phone which expires in 6 weeks) In the meantime I will go purchase her a new phone with someone else and take comfort knowing she will have reliable communication.

    I started with them in 1985. It has been wonderful service but very expensive. They seem to operate on day of deposit day of withdrawal. That means that I have no benefits nothing beyond the normal customer if I don't pay my bill they shut me off. That's why I have switch to another provider and I have better service lower cost and better phones. you can't beat  other providers I mean it. Please don't expect more from verizon other than a "pay me more money and I'll do what you want" because it's all about money. Read the transcripts from current Verizon employees all over the internet. The company is going down and they're taking customers with them.

    RW-5004- RW-50010 etc.
    For error we have to check instalaltion log files for can get more details about it

    1. Before start installation, rapidwiz makes Validate system Configuration check which is checking port avaliability,file system check etc.

    I've installed three times with no luck. I downloaded the Creative Cloud Packager off the licensing site: https://licensing.adobe.com. I unpacked and choose my applications. The install seemed to be successful, but I don't so any of the applications anywhere.
