Hi! I'm considering Unlimited Latin America. There's a small footnote in the description. It says that a connection fee applies. I'd like to please know how much Microsoft will be charging me then a month. Is it $10 for the unlimited or is it $10 + the fee every single time I call during the month. Thanks,

  • When to rebuild? and what is the rebuild later option?

    Hi,
    Something happened yesterday that is causing aperture to crash repeatedly. I think the problem may be with one project where I tried to edit a few raw files and also tried to do a round trip in photoshop with another file. The first symptoms were that the edits using the hud tool did not show up on the display in the viewer or alternate display. Then I quit aperture and restarted it and got about 54 versions of the file I was trying to edit. Then I deleted these and tried to do the edit in photoshop. First time I tried 'edit in external' it didn't open photoshop, then on the second try it did. Well the photoshop edit made it back, but now aperture just quits abruptly whenever I try to do anything.
    Is this a case for rebuilding my library? I've got some concerns before trying this because I have about 70,000 images in several hundred projects. Also how long with this take? Finally, what is the option to rebuild later for? The dialog box informs me this will clear the database and I can rebuild later.... hmm that doesn't sound good. Are they expecting me to rebuild from the vault or what? I've got 7 projects not yet backed up to the vault.
    Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi Kendall,
    Thanks for the suggestions. I actually had already tried this before my post and had first moved the two projects that I worked on last outside the library but that didn't solve my problem because aperture still shows the projects in the list but grayed out. When I tried to delete these projects it would crash. Its possible that I didn't find the project that was causing the trouble and in any case, I think yours was a good idea so maybe it will work in other instances. Oddly I was able to back up my library to the vault without crashing with the two projects replaced back into the library and then I just hit the rebuild option which took much less than the time needed to back up to the vault. Now everything is okay!

  • $35 connection fee

    Just looked at my monthly bill. I added a phone that I already had, no contract needed, to my plan. Whats this $35 connection fee? The guy in the verizon store didn't care to tell me anything about this.

    I agree - we added a line for one of our kids, then it turned out they didn't need it. Within 24hours we canceled the line. We were not told of the $35 if so we probably would have just helped our child out and gotten them a track phone for less than that. Verizon didn't even get the billing correct, which it would of been just $9.99 for an extra line no extras and they charged us double that. That was taken off but they still have not called us back about the $35 activation fee that we were not told of either & they said they were going to have someone call back. Now they have charged us a $5 late fee on that portion we did not pay. Very frustrating to say the least...

  • What is the correct adapter to connect my Macbook pro with mini-dvi to my TV with Scart

    I have a MacBook Pro with mini-DVI and I want to connect it to my TV which has only a scart thing.
    Can I use the mini-DVI to Video-Adapter and then a Video to Scart-Adapter?
    Thanks for your help!

    So of course you've corrected the title : "What is the right PLUG to connect my macbook pro to my TV ?"
    OK so a bit more info : my TV is a Sony Trinitron TV.
    It has the yellow/red/white plugs. I don't believe it has anything more sophisticated or recent than that.
    Thanks for your help !

    I have lightroom 5.7. Now I have apple TV to connect my Mac to the TV scree. I wish to do a slide show on the TV. However, on the Mac, using ITunes to share photos with the TV, I cannot locate all photo files. What is the best way to save the slide show and put it where the Mac sharing can find it? So far, I made on one folder in Lightroom, put some photos there and I found them easily. Can this be done with a slide show? Please help quickly! Also worried that the photos I put on the new folder are hard to find afterwards, when the show is done. Where do they go when I delete from from the new folder?I am not alone

    Not that I'm aware of. You just export JPEG copies to a folder that you can point iTunes to. For instance, I have created a folder in my Pictures folder called Apple TV. And within that folder I have other folders of pictures that I can choose from in iTunes to share with Apple TV. But there doesn't seem to be any way to share a Lightroom slideshow. If you have laid to create a video file that would probably work. Apple TV is a little clunky in my opinion. Some things are a little more difficult to do now than they were a while back. I probably haven't provided you with much help, but just keep experimenting and I think you will figure it out.

  • What's the best way to deal with db connections?

    There are a few ways to do this, I'm wondering what's the most accepted / standard way.
    I have a DBConnection object which hands out Connection objects.
    When each jsp page is loading, every function which requires db access could request its own Connection. Downside to this is...if there are 4 or 5 spots on the same page which require db access, that's 4 or 5 seperate connections that need to be established and then closed.
    Another way I suppose would be to, at the top of each jsp page, create one Connection object, and pass it as a parameter to every spot on the page that needs access to the database. Then at the bottom of each jsp page, I'd close that one Connection object. This means practically every method of every java class I have would need to take a Connection object as input.
    What other methods are there? I think I'm going to go with the 2nd one above, but...it just seems tedious to add "Connection conn" as input to every method. I should add also that most if not all methods that access the database are static, and are called from jsp like...<% SomeClass.login(user); %>...for example.
    I suppose to avoid having to add a Connection object parameter to each static method, I could make all the methods non-static and create instances of the classes I need to work with. In doing so, I'd set a Connection instance variable once for that instance of the class and each (now non-static) method would just use that like...<% Connection conn = DBConnection.getConnection();
    SomeClass sc = new SomeClass(conn);
    SomeOtherClass soc = new SomeOtherClass(conn);
    sc.login(user);
    soc.save(user); %>There are a lot of different ways to accomplish what I'm trying to do. Which have you seen to work best?

    Use the application server database pooling services to create a datasource that can be access using JNDI.
    Move the database access code to a Servlet so that a JSP submits a form to the Servlet that does the database access and packages the data into a bean which is passed to another JSP to be displayed.

  • HT5304 what is the best way to connect my imac wireless with airport express or directly plugged into airport unit

    what is the best way to connect my imac to internet via airport express. wireless or ethernet plug to airport? thanks

    Hello quinstar,
    It sounds like you would like to use either your Personal HotSpot to AirPrint from your MacBook Pro or use an Airport to do so without internet access to the home. According to the following Featured Discussion you very well may be able to use AirPrint with Personal HotSpot:
    HT4356 Can I use personal hotspot as wifi to connect printer?
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4007254
    Also, the Airport products to not need an active internet connection to set up a home Wi-Fi connection so that is another option as well.
    Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

  • What Is The Best Way To Connect Ipod To Stereo Reciever With High Quality?

    I recently purchased an 80 gig and am a newbie. I ripped all my music at around 280kbps to retain good audio quality when playing in my car and home theatre system. There are tons of accesories out there (docks, jacks, etc) which is the highest quality to connect my Yamaha receiver. I would think a connection to the bottom of my ipod would be of a higher quality rather than using the headphone jack. Any suggestions would be great. I was thinking about using the monster itv link but mostly for audio. thanks

    OK - So now that you have all completely ignored the original question - in hopes of proving your manly-hood....
    Does anyone have an answer to the original question....
    "What is the best way to connect to a high end home stereo to retain the best sound?"
    For sure any connection going through the headphone jack will be a big step back - enough so that you would easily hear a sound quality loss in doing so.
    For the few of you who would like to argue/bicker/rant on the nominal sound quality loss....keep on doing so, but for those who actually have some respectable advice we would love to hear it.
    For the record, I tend to hear just outside the normal human auditory range...
    To help myself put it to rest already... a few years back I decided to conduct my own little listening test.
    I took 6 different common ripping modalities (from lossless - to - 128kbps in both MP3 & AAC.... then transfered all of them in order to a blank. Used the same song for each - the song chosen opened with a few clean crisp bars of high freq. music, followed by an instant explosion/drop into a tight & low bassline.
    The final cutoff that was achieved before I was unable to detect an audible difference was 198 VBR AAC. Having convinced myself that there was the ever sooooooo slight difference b/t 198 & 256, I went with my current ripping status of 256.... Just incase my audible range should become finally honed with age (yeah, like that is really going to happen) !
    This test was run over a Yamaha DSP receiver, running at a constant 110w per channel (w/a max of 220w). The speaker setup was a full surround set of Klipsch Reference Series..... each speaker housing 2 x 6.5 woofer (each housing 2 x 1" Titanium tweeters) And sitting along side the 5 surrounds was/is a 150w continuous 12in. Subwoofer.
    Now I am hardly stating that I have hearing as good as some of you extremely technically profound music enthusiasts out there, but for the majority of people making comments about sound quality, and lack there of - when played over a $120/40w Audiovox radio.... I'm sorry, but I would have to side on that of......"Hogwash, that you can hear a difference!"
    So.... if possible would someone please offer some advice on a dock or cable connection that will allow us to enjoy the music we ripped at whatever
    so-called range we did!
    For those interested in seeing who could hit the further bullseye with their eyes closed, You win!!! Now can you help us?

  • HT4260 I have an AirPort Extreme and a linksys router. What is the best way to get 6-8 wired connections with ac speeds?

    I have an AirPort Extreme and a linksys router. What is the best way to get 6-8 wired connections with ac speeds?
    Appreciate your assistance.

    The answer depends on whether the AirPort Extreme is your main router....or...the Linksys device is your main router.
    In either case, the two devices must connect together using a wired Ethernet connection using CAT5e or CAT6 cabling.
    Any version of the AirPort Extreme produced within the last 5 years will have Gigabit Ethernet ports. In order to get the same speeds from the Linksys router, it will also need to be Gigabit Ethernet capable.
    If you need additional Ethernet ports, you will need to add a Gigabit Ethernet switch to either the AirPort Extreme or Linksys router.
    It is assumed that your other devices connecting to the AirPort Extreme and Linksys router will also have Gigabit Ethernet capability.
    Not sure why you mention "ac" speeds in your post. This relates to wireless connections, not wired.
