  • What is the main function of RMS Emulator

    Hi All,
A very good day to all.
I have a question with reference to RMS Emulator.
We know that RMS Emulator acts as a backward compatibility for Legacy management packs. What i want to make it clear is among both the points which one is true and which one is false or are both true?
    1. Does RMS Emulator provide compatibility to legacy management pack when we Import a management pack normally from the Administrator TAB in SCOM 2012 OR 2012 R2 where there is no SCOM 2007 R2 installed or existing in that management group.
    Or
    2. Does RMS Emulator provide compatibility to Legacy management packs when a new SCOM 2012 or 2012 R2 is deployed in a existing management group where we already have a SCOM 2007 or 2007 R2.

    Hi Ivan,
The article was really very helpful, But it clearly does not answer my question. For the below which is true among RMS emulator 1 or 2 or are both true ?

  • What is the main use of mseg table

    MM Process flow:
The typical procurement cycle for a service or material consists of the following phases:
    1. Determination of Requirements
Materials requirements are identified either in the user departments or via materials planning and control. (This can cover both MRP proper and the demand-based approach to inventory control. The regular checking of stock levels of materials defined by master records, use of the order-point method, and forecasting on the basis of past usage are important aspects of the latter.) You can enter purchase requisitions yourself, or they can be generated automatically by the materials planning and control system.
    2. Source Determination
The Purchasing component helps you identify potential sources of supply based on past orders and existing longer-term purchase agreements. This speeds the process of creating requests for quotation (RFQs), which can be sent to vendors electronically via SAP EDI, if desired.
    3. Vendor Selection and Comparison of Quotations
The system is capable of simulating pricing scenarios, allowing you to compare a number of different quotations. Rejection letters can be sent automatically.
    4. Purchase Order Processing
The Purchasing system adopts information from the requisition and the quotation to help you create a purchase order. As with purchase requisitions, you can generate Pos yourself or have the system generate them automatically. Vendor scheduling agreements and contracts (in the SAP System, types of longer-term purchase agreement) are also supported.
    5. Purchase Order Follow-Up
The system checks the reminder periods you have specified and - if necessary - automatically prints reminders or expediters at the predefined intervals. It also provides you with an up-to-date status of all purchase requisitions, quotations, and purchase orders.
    6. Goods Receiving and Inventory Management
Goods Receiving personnel can confirm the receipt of goods simply by entering the Po number. By specifying permissible tolerances, buyers can limit over- and underdeliveries of ordered goods.
    7. Invoice Verification
The system supports the checking and matching of invoices. The accounts payable clerk is notified of quantity and price variances because the system has access to PO and goods receipt data. This speeds the process of auditing and clearing invoices for payment.

    Hi,
What are the different functions used in sap script? What are the parameters used in each Function?
    Regards,

he print program is used to print forms. The program retieves the necesary data from datbase tables, defines the order of in which text elements are printed, chooses a form for printing and selects an output device and print options.
    Function modules in a printprogram:
When you print a form you must used the staments OPEN_FORM and CLOSE_FORM. To combine forms into a single spool request use START_FORM and END_FORM.
To print textelements in a form use WRITE_FORM. The order in which the textelements are printed, is determined by the order of the WRITE_FORM statements. Note: for printing lines in the body, you can also use the WRITE_FORM_LINES function module.
To transfer control command to a form use CONTROL_FORM.
    Structure of a print program
    Read data
    Tables: xxx.
    SELECT *

Write text elements to a window of the form
    call function 'WRITE_FORM'.....

  • What is the main diff b/n ldb pnp and pnpce?

    hi ,
what is the main diff b/n ldb pnp and pnpce?
    thanks.

    Hi Arun,
PNP/PNPCE  - Both are Logical Databases for PA Module
In PNPCE - CE stands for Concurrent Employment.
    The differnces are:
The PNPCE logical database supports the evaluation of HR master data. It includes the functions of the PNP logical database and offers additional evaluation options. Therefore, you should use the PNPCE logical database instead of the PNP logical database for all new developments.
The enhanced functionality of PNPCE in comparison to PNP essentially concerns the evaluation of Concurrent Employment, that is the possibility to group evaluate several assignments/personnel numbers of a person. The new events 'GET PERSON' and 'GET GROUP' as well as an enhanced syntax for the INFOTYPES statement (addition AS PERSON TABLE) for the procurement of infotype data enable you to use the new functionality. The use of these new functions is optional. You can run a PNPCE report that does not use the new events and the addition for the INFOTYPES statement in a PNP-compatible session. Since the PNPCE also has an improved selection screen, each report benefits from this even if the report does not use the functions for evaluating Concurrent Employment.
    Hope this helps you.
    Regards,
    Chandra Sekhar

  • What is the main use of domain other than providing technical attributes

frends let me know what is the main use of domain other than providing technical attributes

    hi RajaReddy,
    Domains are used to
    <b><u>1. specify fixed value ranges.</u></b>
For eg: <b>status type Char 1</b>, can have fixed values stored in the domain level
    as '1' - Active '2' - retired '3' - terminated '4'- temporary..etc
    <u><b>
    2. Conversion routines are attached at domain level</b></u>
    <u>
Conversion routine <b>MATN1</b> (connected function modules are CONVERSION_EXIT_MATN1_INPUT
CONVERSION_EXIT_MATN1_OUTPUT),  is attached for domain MATNR
<b>3. Value table are atttached at domain level (if fixed value ranges are not mentioned)</b></u>
for eg: value table mara is attached for Domain MATNR.
    <u><b>
    4. And most importantly, domains can be re-used for multiple data elements, in the same table.</b></u>
    Hope this helps,
    Sajan Joseph.

  • What is the main use of SM13

    Hello All,
What is the main use of SM13. I know the SAP definition tha tit is used to check"whether update is active".
So if the transactions are struck here, can we manually process them?
I see a couple of records with Status V2. When I try to manually update them, the system gives me a message"Update request does not have status init". What does this mean.
What would be the document change flow to delta queue. Is it as below?
    In case of V3 updates,
1)The user make changes to a document.
The changes are made to application tables in V1 step-VBAK,VBAP etc
2)The delta(after and before image is captured in the log tables---How is this done?
3)The changes(before and after images) from the log table are moved to extarction queue in V2 step using function modules
4)In SM13, if you see the transactions in V2 status ,does it mean that the FM are not yet executed
5)once v2 is complete(FM' run) the delta is moved from log table to extraction queue, v3 init is run
6)all the accumulated changes are moved from extraction queue to delta
    Thanks

What is the main difference between LOCAL VARIABLE, REFERENCE, PROPERTY NODE and INVOC. NODE?
Can u show this with an example in a VI using all these?
Basic overview. Someone can go into more depth if they want.
Local Variable - Correlates to some location in memory that holds information. Based on the data type, it looks at that location and interprets the 1's and 0's as either a double, integer, string, structure(cluster), etc.
Reference - ill leave the details of this to someone else I can't give a decent explanation.
Property node- sets different "properties" of a control/indicator etc. One of the properties is value so that works similar to a local variable. However, you can set much more than that. For example, with controls you can set the property of visible, not visible, color, etc etc.
Invoke node - invokes some "method." i.e. calls some function to act on something
These may not be the best explanations, or even 100% correct. But it should get you started. I'm sure someone else will build on this.
