What is the price difference to upgrade from an iphone 5 to a 5s?

I live in Australia and was wondering how much it would cost me to upgrade from the 5 model to a 5s? Can't find any info on it on the Australian apple store site.

Apple doesn't offer an "upgrade" program. You may be able to trade your phone in for credit in some countries, and you can always sell it, either privately or to a company that specializes in buying electronics like Gazelle.

what is the easiest way to upgrade from OS X 10.4.11 to 10.5 Leopard

    You should consider this:
Here are the minimum specs your Mac will need to run Leopard, according to Apple:
    Intel, G5, or 867MHz+ G4 processor
512 megs of RAM MINIMUM (though if you only have 512 megs of RAM you may actually find you need more.)
DVD drive (Leopard is shipping on a DVD, and your Mac needs to read it to be able to install it)
    9GB of free disk space
    Hope this helps

Connect the iPhone to your Mac with its USB cable and launch iPhoto.  In iPhoto you can select which files to upload into the library.  Once in the library export them out of iPhoto to a folder on the Desktop via File ➙ Export ➙ File Export  with Kind=Original. That will give you copies of the videos in the folder for use outside of iPhoto.
If you want to bypass importing into iPhoto try launching Image Capture and manually upload the selected video files to the folder of your choice.

  • What are the recommended steps to upgrade from CF7 to CF8

I have read all of the documentation for how to upgrade from
CF 7.02 to CF 8. Well there is actually only one blurb in all of
    the CF docs.
"Upgrade installation You can upgrade from ColdFusion MX,
ColdFusion MX 6.1, and ColdFusion MX 7. When upgrading from
ColdFusion MX, ColdFusion MX 6.1, or ColdFusion MX 7, the installer
preserves the existing settings and installs in a new directory,
automatically assigning ports that do not conflict with the
    existing installation."
OK that sounds simple enough, so i went ahead and installed
it. Well it did not work, now I am stuck somewhere between 7 and 8.
My basic step, as I can best recall at 1:00AM.
    * Select Multi server Configuration
    * Select install path, I used D:\JRun4
    * This is where my existing cf7 install was located
    * installer told me port 8300 was being used so it gave me
    port 8306 instead
    * Selected d: for ColdFusion8DotNetService install path
    * Select Passwords for admin and rds
    * installed cf
    * received error after install
    (Adobe_ColdFusion_8_InstallLog.log)
    ANT Script Error:
    Status: ERROR
Additional Notes: ERROR - jrun.xmlUnable to remove existing
    file D:\JRun4\bin\jrun.exe
    * rebooted
    * can't login to cfadmin at port 8306
    * tried to login to cfadmin at port 8300, everythin works
    * it appears the cf7 services are still running,
    * didn't notice any new cf8 services, excpet the dotnet
    stuff
    Any assistance would be appriciated.

Essentially CF comes with the updates that will become JRun 4
    Updater 7
integrated into it. (The beta of Updater 7 is under way).

Use the CAR file, XML file formats have changed between
    versions.

What you are describing is a simultaneous update of JRun and
    CF. For
just an update of CF you need to redeploy the CF EAR file as
    described
in the JRun manual. For just an update of JRun you have to
    wait until
updater 7 is released (or join the beta and file bugs if you
    don't like
    the procedure).
    > Another possible option would be to update JRUN with the
    latest release,
The latest release is only updater 6.
    > download the latest JRE and create a custom jvm.config
file to use for the new
    > JRE. Then you would create a new instance of JRUN using
    the JRUN console and
    > deploy a CF8 EAR/WAR file to it. You still then have the
    issue of getting

Use a CAR file for that.
    > This seems possible to do it this way but does not seem
    as clean at all.
In place upgrades are never clean. In my book, an upgrade
    means
    rebuilding from scratch.

  • What is the BEST way to upgrade from Leopard to Tiger?

My current set-up is noted below. The main "Macintosh HD" is 250 GB's in size and is fairly filled up with programs and plug-ins. (I own Logic Studio 8 and Final Cut Pro Studio 2, as well as Adobe's CS4 Web Premium Suite.)
Prior to doing the upgrade from Tiger to Leopard, I wish to ensure that I get back to my current set-up should any problems arise. Off hand, I can think of a couple of options to chose from to ensure a proper backup :
    1) Cloning the current disk drive on another drive in the Mac Pro prior to the upgrade.
    2) Purchasing a new, larger disk drive for the Leopard upgrade and safely storing the original drive containing Tiger.
Maybe there are more ways to upgrade from Tiger to Leopard with a dependable "back-up"??
No matter how I ensure a back-up of my current drive, I will install Leopard as a clean install.
What would be the BEST way to do the upgrade with proper back-up?
Thank you in advance for your time and input.

    I suggest the following:
How to Perform an Archive and Install
An Archive and Install will NOT erase your hard drive, but you must have sufficient free space for a second OS X installation which could be from 3-9 GBs depending upon the version of OS X and selected installation options. The free space requirement is over and above normal free space requirements which should be at least 6-10 GBs. Read all the linked references carefully before proceeding.
    1. Be sure to use Disk Utility first to repair the disk before performing the Archive and Install.
Repairing the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Installer menu (Utilities menu for Tiger.) After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported, then quit DU and return to the installer.
    2. Do not proceed with an Archive and Install if DU reports errors it cannot fix. In that case use Disk Warrior and/or TechTool Pro to repair the hard drive. If neither can repair the drive, then you will have to erase the drive and reinstall from scratch.
    3. Boot from your OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When you reach the screen to select a destination drive click once on the destination drive then click on the Option button. Select the Archive and Install option. You have an option to preserve users and network preferences. Only select this option if you are sure you have no corrupted files in your user accounts. Otherwise leave this option unchecked. Click on the OK button and continue with the OS X Installation.
    4. Upon completion of the Archive and Install you will have a Previous System Folder in the root directory. You should retain the PSF until you are sure you do not need to manually transfer any items from the PSF to your newly installed system.
    5. After moving any items you want to keep from the PSF you should delete it. You can back it up if you prefer, but you must delete it from the hard drive.
    6. You can now download a Combo Updater directly from Apple's download site to update your new system to the desired version as well as install any security or other updates. You can also do this using Software Update.

  • What is the best way to upgrade from 10.5 to 10.7

I am trying to figure out the best way to upgrade my MacBook Pro from 10.5.8 to the new Lion 10.7. From what I have heard so far, I need to get a copy of snow leopard first so I have the APP Store then download Lion. Has anyone heard of a bundled package to accomplish this?

Apple is currently only making Lion available for download.  You'll have to accquire a copy of Snow Leopard first and upgrade to it.  Once you are on Snow Leopard, update your Mac with all of the current updates, which will then give you the App Store.  From the App Store you'll be able to download and install Lion.  I strongly advise backing up your system first prior to the update.

  • Since I have learned my late 2007 Macbook 3,1 will not support Mountain Lion, what is the best way to upgrade from 10.6.8 to 10.7 Lion?

Can I download the latest version of Lion from Apple. I have heard that if I call Apple Sales support I can still get Lion from Apple. Lastly, what about Lion via the Thumb USB?

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
Correct. Call Apple to purchase OS X Lion > http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57 If you want the OS X Lion USB Thumb Drive, you will have to search it in Amazon or eBay. Make sure that the USB drive is white with a grey Apple logo.
Then, make a backup of your data before upgrading, and check that your applications are compatible > http://www.roaringapps.com After checking everything, you can upgrade to OS X Lion

  • Emac upgrade: What's the easiest way to upgrade from OS 10.2.8 to OS 10.3?

I just gave my Emac to my parents...I want to upgrade from OS 10.2.8 to OS 10.3 and continue upgrading so the computer is as current as it can be. What is recommended? Downloading OS 10.3 from Mac downloads and progressing through upgrades until I hit OS 10.5 or is there an easier way? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Right now, I can't upgrade at all until the system gets OS 10.3. At least, that's what the downloads page is telling me.
    Thanks for your time...Steeler58

The version of Mac OS X 10.2 you have, 10.2.8, is the highest you can get for free. You cannot download Mac OS X 10.3; that has always been something you would have to pay for. The same applies to Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) and Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard); each would be a separate purchase at retail. If it were me and my machine, I'd skip 10.3 and find a retail copy of Mac OS X 10.4. You may still be able to purchase 10.4 from the Apple Store if you call them (it is not available for order from the Apple Store via the Web). You may also be able to find a copy through one of the computer dealers that specializes in discontinued software or through eBay. You must get the full retail version; a system installer disk intended for some other model of Mac will usually not work and is not legally licensed for separate sale and use on other systems.
Note that the normal 10.4 installer only came on DVD - CDs were only available via special order - so your eMac will need to have a DVD-capable drive, either a Combo drive or a SuperDrive.

    Hi folks,
What would be the right procedure to upgrade ACS 5.1 to 5.3 ?
Our client needs to a smooth upgrade to the latest and greatest 5.3 version. The plan is use a backup made on 5.1 and install it on the new system.
Should the new system be running version 5.1 or I can start with 5.2 to save time for the upgrade?

  • What's the correct procedure to upgrade from Lightroom 5.7 to Lightroom 6? My Creative Cloud app still reports Lightoom as being "Up to date"

If I choose "Check for updates" from the Help menu within Lightroom 5.7 I get the message that an upgrade is indeed available. If I click the "Download" button from here I get sent to a web page with this message… "To update to the latest version of Lightroom for use with your Creative Cloud membership, please quit Lightroom, launch the Creative Cloud app, and click the "Install" button next to Lightroom 5" Well there is no "Install" button next to Lightroom 5 because Creative Cloud app reports that Lightroom is "Up to date"

I don't know for sure, but I imagine it has to do with Adobe's method of gradually notifying people of the upgrade to keep their servers from getting flooded. If all the hundreds of thousands of accounts where constantly checking to see if new programs where available every minute of every day, that would be some serious overhead. They probably do something like "check once daily at midnight to see if new versions of PS, LR, IL, DW, etc are available and notify the user".

  • What's the best method for upgrading from PSE 9 to PSE 11 or 12

If I recall correctly, the last time I upgraded, I was advised to make a backup in the old version of PSE -- version 6 -- and then restore from that backup after I subsequently installed PSE 9.  (However, I didn't uninstall PSE 6.)
    Does that still work?
After creating that backup in PSE 9, is it then best to uninstall PSE 9 before installing 11 or 12??

It's good to make a backup, but just to have a current backup, if you're installing the newer version on the same computer. PSE 11 should just find your PSE 9 catalog and offer to upgrade it, without having to do any kind of restore.
