Go to Solution.The backup file will have a ".nbu" file extension. You can view (and edit) the default saving location by going to Tools>Options>My devices.

No longer audio on .avi files when attempting to use Elements 9
I have compiled 20 years of videos from family videos and converted them to .avi files. I now want to edit these files into other smaller videos to give to my children. I have Premiere Elements 9. When I get one of these files using PE9 there is no longer audio on them.
There is audio if I play them on Windows Media Player but no audio on Quicktime Player.
I can edit in Windows Movie Maker but not in PE9.
The Quicktime Player states the following:
Format: Motion JPEG Open DML, 640 x 480, millions
Movie FPS 29.97
Playing FPS 29.97
Data Size 1.94 gb
Data Rate 8.67 mbits/sec
Normal Size 640 x 480 pixels
Current Size 640 x 480 pixels
I have a Dell Inspiron 530, 4.0 gb RAM, 32- Bit Windows Vista system. Plenty of Hard Drive availability.

The .avi file is a compilation of videos from multiple cameras from over the years. There is no 1 camera. That is why I am confused here.

What camera produced the MJPEG files, wrapped in the AVI container? The reason that I ask this, is because camera mfgrs. love to tweak CODEC's, and some take that tweaking to an extreme. If you have the utility disc, that came with the camera, it is probably best to install their particular version of the MJPEG CODEC. The Morgan, or the MainConcept might work OK, but having the exact version, from the camera mfgr. will get you as close, as is possible, and will save having to buy an MJPEG CODEC, that might not be perfect. Now, on that utility disc, one might have one of three possible choices: The MJPEG CODEC might be a separate installationThe MJPEG CODEC might install along with the camera's driverThe MJPEG CODEC might install with an included editing/cataloguing program (most common nowadays), and even if you do not use that utility, having the proper version of the MJPEG CODEC installed on the system, will get you as close, as is possible Good luck, and let us know if you have the utility disc for that camera. What is the cause of "error 1015" when you're trying to restore and update an iphone 3gs? My iphone is currently in recovery mode and can not get out of it. All the information about my iphone shown on itunes is only marked as- N/A. How can I get my iphone out of recovery mode and get it to recover and update?

In other words, either your phone is jailbroken and you are sadly out of luck or you are trying to downgrade iOS. -
All is in the title, so I repeat it below with a better identation.
What are the pros and cons of
1) choosing to use the SAME
Apple ID for iCloud services on one side, and
purchases on the iTunes Store, App Store, and iBookstore, on the other side; or
2) to have and use two separate Apple Ids for these "two sides"?
P.S.
I have loads and loads of free podcasts in iTunes in my iMac, that are certainly more thant the 5 gigas the iCloud provides for free, so I don't want those to go to the cloud. But this is perhaps a different question...
Also need to mention that I have itunes on a mac, a pc and an iphone.
Sorry to look so silly with this question, but I don't get the "big picture".You need to create a user account for your wife (or yourself depending on who has the current user account). When syncing, each of you should sign in as a separate user, login to iTunes and then sync. I had this problem when my sister got an iPhone. When we did her initial sync, everything on my iPhone showed up on hers. Apple gave me this solution.

i want to launch my java code in .exe fashion just clickk and u get output.....
but as far i have seen in java there is only class file as output and every time to
launch the output of code u have to run it from netbean compiler.
Ya i have sen some file with jnlp extension which launch application just by clicking how to make that........What is the repalcement of .exe file in Java .Though there is no replacement as it would defy java's claim 'write once run anywhere' (or whatever it is) but jars are as good as exes if you have jre installed....

2) Yesterday I made the subclips with the In-Out Points and Command-U, the benefit is that I've seen the clip before naming it. Now I'm using markers, it's benefit is that I can write comment and (the later) clip name at once, the drawback is that I have to view to the next shot's beginning before knowing what the shot contains.
But now I found out that I can reconnect my clips independently to the format I converted the master clip to. I reconnected the media to the original AVI file and it worked, too! The more I work with, the more I'm sold on it... - although it doesn't seem to be able to read and use the date information within the DV AVI.
1) Ok, I tried something similar within FCE. Just worked, but the file size still remains. Which codec settings should I use? Is the export to DV in MOV with a quality of 75% acceptable for both file size and quality? Or would be encoding as H.264 with best quality an option for archiving, knowing that I have to convert it back to DV if I (maybe) wan't to use it for editing later? Or anything else?

Is it normal for someone to have general diffuculty charging an ipad? I see the "not charging" message even when I am using the charger and cord that came in the original box, plugged into a wall socket directly. It is normal for me to plug it in overnight and to see no charge whatsoever the next day. I have never had so much trouble using a friggin charger in my life. It just seems to be exceedingly finicky. What am I missing?
Charging your iPad should not be problematic. It should be an easy thing to do using the charger provided with your iPad connected to a known good wall outlet.
The charging problem you are experiencing is most like caused by:
1. A faulty charger
2. A faulty cable
3. A bad wall outlet
4. A problem in the iPad.
The first three of these are easiest to eliminate. Try a for ends charger and cable. Make absolutely sure your outlet is good. Try other outlets.
If the charger, cable and outlet a proven to be good then the problem lies in the iPad.
Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support. -
Under Option Summary, the usage includes AUDIO, PHOTOS, APPS and OTHERS. What are the things included in OTHERS? It is using up my storage space. Can someone please help?
To add to Nick's comments, "Other" is typically approximately 1 gigabyte. Occasionally for some users, it gets much (many times) bigger because they have some corrupt files. If that's the case, it's best to restore the iPhone.
Plug the iPhone into (current) iTunes, let it sync, then choose "Restore" on the right. If restoring from the iPhone backup does not help, then restore (again) as new and then manaully sync the iPhone. -
WHAT DO THE DIFFERENT COLORS CIRCLES MEAN WHEN YOU LOCATE YOUR IPHONE?
I was just wondering what do the different color circles mean when I've located my iphone. So far I've seen a green dot with a green bigger outlined circle around it , a gray circle , a gray circle with a gray bigger outline around it , a real big green circle like the whole circle is dark green. I'm mainly just wondering can you tell if they are texting or using the phone at the time or if its on off or on vibrate is that what those different colors mean?
