Hi Lisa,
a container must be placed in a respective screen area. Also the module calls must be implemented in your screen input and output sections. Finally you have to place something (a GUI control) in your container.
I do not see anything like this in your program. So I don't know what you are asking about. Do you get any error message?

Clemens

What are the tables will update while loading Master data ?
Hello Experts,
What are the tables will update while loading Master data ? And requesting you to provide more information about Master data loading and its related settings in the beginning of creation infoobjects. It depends upon the type of Master data u r loading....
In all the master data loadings, for every new value of master data an SID will be created in the SID table /BI*/S<INFOOBJECT NAME> irrespective of the type of master data.
But the exceptional tables that get updated depending on the type of master data are.....
If it is a time Independent master data then the /BI*/P<INFOOBJECT NAME> table gets updated with the loaded data.
If it is a time dependent master data then the /BI*/Q<INFOOBJECT NAME> table gets updated with the loaded data.
If the master data is of time Independent Navigational attributes then for every data load the SID table will get updated first and then the /BI*/X<INFOOBJECT NAME> table gets updated with the SID's created in the SID table (NOT WITH THE MASTER DATA).
If the master data is of time dependent navigational attributes then for every data load the SID table will get updated first and then the /BI*/Y<INFOOBJECT NAME> table gets updated with the SID's created in the SID table (NOT WITH THE MASTER DATA).
NOTE: As said above, For all the data in P, Q, T, X, Y tables the SID's will be created in the S table /BI*/S<INFOOBJECT NAME>
NOTE: Irrespective of the time dependency or Independency the VIEW /BI*/M<INFOOBJECT NAME> defined on the top of /BI*/P<INFOOBJECT NAME> & /BI*/Q<INFOOBJECT NAME> tables gives the view of entire master data.
NOTE: it is just a View and it is not a Table. So it will not have any physical storage of data.
All the above tables are for ATTRIBUTES
But when it comes to TEXTS, irrespective of the Time dependency or Independency, the /BI*/T<INFOOBJECT NAME> table gets updated (and of course the S table also).
Naming Convention: /BIC/*<InfoObject Name> or /BI0/*<InfoObject Name>
C = Customer Defined Characteristic
0 = Standard or SAP defined Characteristic
* = P, Q, T, X,Y, S (depending on the above said conditions)
Thanks & regards

What are the things taken care while using multiple suites?
Hi all,
I have created a plugin which sends the current file path to an url,
its working fine with debugging in Visual studio 2005 and while it is added to the Adobe Illustrator its works only once.
That is its sending the file path only for one file. While i tried for the second time its not working
I am using following suits in my plugin
AIDocumentSuite
AIFilePathSuite
AIActionManagerSuite
AIUnicodeStringSuite
AIURLSuite
I am using the "AIURLSuite" for calling the url and it is calling the url multiple times while its used alone, and its only working once with the multiple suites.
What are the things taken care while using multiple suites? , is it neccessary to release all variables and the suites after completing the task?
Should they released in the same order in which they are acquired?
Thanks in advance
Sreejesh K VHi,
The problem was with the "sAIDocument->GetDocumentModified(mod);"
The "GetDocumentModified" is crashing after executing once, i just removed that statement , and now
i am forcefully saving the document with out checking the modification status!
Its working fine now!
Could you please tell me how can we lock a plugin , or a particular function in a plugin.
There is any specific standard to use the GetDocumentModified function?
Thanks and Best Regards

What are the different transaction codes for PGI?
1. What are the different transaction codes for PGI?
2. What transaction code should I use for a Group Delivery?
Regards,
Nazim.Hi
Go to VL02 and you can do the PGI.
Regfarding Group Delivery, you can create a batch job and link the program to the batch job so that the job picks up all the orders and create deliveries.
Creating a Background Job Using the Job Wizard
From the main menu select System>Services>Jobs>Define Job (transaction SM36).
Press the Job Wizard button and step through the screens as follows:
1:Continue
2: Enter a name for your job. Continue.
3: Continue with ABAP Program Step selected
4: Enter the ABAP Program Name and variant name.
Press the Print Parameters button, specify the required printer and set the "Time of Print" to "Send to Print Spooler for now".
Press green tick
Continue
5: If more reports need to be added to the job tick the checkbox, press continue and repeat screens 3 and 4.
6: Select how the job is to scheduled (eg Date and Time)
7: Enter the required scheduling information ( eg Date and Time) and if required tick "Periodic Jobs"
8: If "Periodic Job" was selected select the frequency (eg Monthly)
9: Check the job details and press Complete

What is the standard transaction code to see price for a material
can anyone tell me what is the stadard t code to display price of a material for different customers the input contains sales organization distribution channel material valid on and end date
Urgent
thanksUse condition maintenance function (VK31) to meet your needs.
Go to VK33 to display pricing reports, choose conditions > by customer, narrow down results by specifying org units, validity periods, customer and material range, condition type etc.
Or at SE43, display area menu cond_av, where you can find out what pricing reports constitute this menu i.e your condition maintenance screen. If it is a routine task, creating an area menu may be needed.
At V/LA, pricing reports can be easily created to suit specific requirements. Then newly created reports can be added to area menu via SE43. -

jb8 + weblogic7 + oracle8iI believe that Apple stated a couple of years ago that they would not be able to implement or trust a standard that is not published. Microsoft has not released the code for a legal examination or implementation.
"With open standards, Microsoft can not change the specs when ever they decide another vendor gets too good/close to a threat to Microsofts software products."
Apparently, each version of Windows has it's own flavor of NTFS with undocumented features and assumptions.
If any of the above is true, then I don't see an easy resolution or solution from Apple unless they were to license the code from Microsoft and be able to support it with upgrades. The code may not even be for sale or rent...
As far as using a USB 2 drive... Fat32 is still the way to go if you want to easily transfer files to either OS. Sure it has problems with FAT loss, but it works very easily. -
What r the steps that involve while v r using DBCONNECT AND UDCONNEC
Hi All,
What r the steps that involve while v r using DBCONNECT AND UDCONNECT AND IN WHICH DIFFERENT SCENARIOS V USE THEM.
REGARDS
KKHi,
To Configure UD Connect on the J2EE Server for JDBC Access to External Databases;
https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/58f4db47-0501-0010-a2bf-ff01b150fdff
To create Driver on JDBC side

Configuring the BI Java Connectors
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/43/e35b3315bb2d57e10000000a422035/frameset.htm
Then to extract data use this...
Before you can transfer data from UD Connect sources into BI, you have to generate the metadata (the information about the source object and source object elements) in BI, in the form of a DataSource with a function module for extraction.
If your dataflow is modeled with objects based on the old concept (InfoSource 3.x, transfer rules 3.x, update rules 3.x), you can generate a DataSource 3.x for transferring data into BI from a database source system.
Prerequisites
You have modeled the InfoObjects that you want to use in the InfoSource and the data target or InfoProvider according to the UD Connect source object elements.
Note the following background information:
Using InfoObjects with UD Connect
Data Types and Their Conversion
Using the SAP Namespace for Generated Objects
Procedure
You are in the Modeling InfoSource tree of the Administrator Workbench. First create in InfoSource and activate the communication structure. Then generate the generic DataSource using the wizard in the InfoSource maintenance.
1. Choose InfoSources ® Your Application Component ® Context Menu (right mouse click) ® Create InfoSource.
2. Select the type of the InfoSource.
3. Under InfoSource, enter the technical name of the InfoSource, and assign a description and choose Continue.
The system creates an InfoSource and shows it in the InfoSource tree under your application components.
4. In the context menu of the InfoSource, choose Change .
The communication structure maintenance screen appears.
5. Using the previously modeled InfoObjects, create the communication structure (see Communication Structure).
6. Save and activate your communication structure
7. In the dialog box that follows you will be asked whether you wish to activate the dependent transfer program. Choose No.
8. In the InfoSource menu, choose Extras ® Create BW DataSource with UD Connect.
You get to the dialog box where you can assign a UD Connect source object to a DataSource and then generate the DataSource with the extractor. The fields for the DataSource are already being displayed in the table on the left side of the screen. The fields have the same name as the InfoObjects that you have used in the InfoSource.
9. Select the RFC Destination for the J2EE Engine.
Make sure that the local server is running. If the local server is running and you cannot open the table for RFC destinations, start the local server again.
10. Choose the UD Connect Source in which the data that you wish to access is located.
All available sources that are connected to the J2EE Engine are provided for selection in the input help. n instances are available per adapter.
11. Select the UD Connect Source Object.
All available source objects that are available in the selected UD Connect source are provided for selection in the input help. Source objects can be multi-dimensional storage or relational objects.
The system generates the name of the DataSource in the namespace 6B.
The DataSource is then replicated in BI.
The myself system is assigned to the InfoSource as source system as well as the DataSource.
The system generates a proposal for the transfer rules.
Since the DDIC structure and the function module are located in the SAP namespace, the following entries can be requested during generation:
Developer and object key or
Developer key or
Object key and
Transport request
If you do not make the requested entries, the generated infrastructure is not usable.
14. Change or complete the transfer rules as needed. For example, if a source object element is not assigned to a unit InfoObject, you can determine a constant for the unit, such as EUR for 0LOC_CURRCY (local currency).
15. Save and activate your transfer rules.
Recognizing Manual Entries
You can enter and change the RFC Destination, UD Connect Source and UD Connect Source Object manually. In order to validate these entries and the ones that depend on them, choose Recognize Manual Entries. For example, if you change the selected RFC destination, all of the field contents (US Connect Source, UD Connect Source Object, list of the source object elements) are invalid. If you choose Recognize Manual Entries, the dependent field contents are initialized and have to be maintained again.
Result
You have created the InfoSource and DataSource for data transfer with UD Connect. In the DataSource overview for the myself system, you can display the DataSource under the application components Non-Assigned Nodes.
When modeling InfoObjects in BI, note that the InfoObjects have to correspond to the source object elements with regard to the type description and length description. For more information about data type compatibility, see Data Types and Their Conversion.
The following restrictions apply when using InfoObjects:
Alpha conversion is not supported
The use of conversion routines is not supported
Upper and lower case must be enabled
These InfoObject settings are checked when they are generated.
Based on the large number of possible UD Connect sources, the most diverse data types are possible in the output system. For this reason, a compatibility check is made at the time of generation of the UD Connect DataSource that is based on the type information supplied by the source systems. This attempts to decrease the probability of errors during the extraction process.

Hope this helps,

What is the most efficent way to create both a standard and HD DVD
Hi,
I'm just getting into HD video editing, and I have relatives who will be several years behind me. I will be making HD DVD's for myself to use, but I will also need to make standard DVD's to send to my relatives.I am assuming that the HD DVD's I create will not play in a standard DVD player. I may be wrong. However, If this is correct, is there a particular point in the process of working with Encore where I can make that choice, create the DVD, and then go back and alter it in order to create the other type without destroying and having to redo everything that was done up to that point?Thank you Hunt. Being ahead of most of the rest of the world and getting the best technology out there can be a pain sometimes. Reading through Jon Geddes' article left me scratching my head several times, and some of it went way over my head, but I'll keep at it, until it sinks in. Some language, terms, and shorthand, I'm sure are simple to understand to a lot of people, but I'm not in that catagory. I'll just keep working at it.

Subject: what is the most efficent way to create both a standard and HD DVD
I would edit the Project in HD in PrPro. The BD authoring part will be straight workflow.
For the SD DVD-Video, you have a few choices. You can Export to DV-AVI Type II for Import into a new Encore Project for the DVD. Some feel that PrPro does not do a good job at down-rezing from HD to SD. For a workflow that will likely yield better quality, see this http://www.precomposed.com/blog/2009/07/hd-to-sd-dvd-best-methods/. If you have PrPro/Encore CS4, then Jeff Bellune's /thread/487134?tstart=0 might be useful to you. Just follow the links to the tutorial.
Good luck,
