What is wrong with Verizon support?

I have placed an order that never got filled, then had to cancel that order.  Then, I placed another order, only to be told it would be delivered to my home on the 18th.  Then, I find out that I needed to talk to fraudulent department before the order was filled. So, did that on the 18th. Then, after checking status, I had no tracking number. So, I called on the 20th to get that, and there was no tracking number.  I was told that FedEx routinely does not assign one, but they saw that it was to be delivered at my home on the 21st.  Sat at home all day on the 21st without a delivery.  Called the night of the 21st, got the same story, on this time, my phone were located in Lubbock, TX and that I would definitely have them on the 22nd.  The day came and went without delivery once again.  Called again today, Nov 23rd, 2013, and there is still no tracking number, but somehow they see that the phones are still in Lubbock.  We have been lied to over and over, and it is the most disappointed I have ever been in a customer service situation.  No one helps at all.  It has been since the 15 of November, and still no one has any idea where my phones really are, or when they are going ship.  My daughter is in the military and and is awaiting one of the phones.  If it is not received, she will not get to come home for Thanksgiving, as it is a requirement for emergency contact.  What does someone have to do to get a company to care about their clients?

It is very easy for them to see the phone is still in Lubbock Texas as they have a warehouse facility in Lubbock and this tells me that your phone has NEVER left their warehouse. FedEx assigned ALL packages a tracking number when the package is created so their excuse of FedEx did not create one is bogus. The only way a package does NOT have a FedEx number on it is if they have not processed your order yet.
What phone is it?  I would try a third party reseller or one of the big box stores to see if they have it and tell Verizon they can keep the phone in Texas

    I'm having a terrible experience with Verizon, and being a 20-year customer, I am pretty ticked. We renewed my wife's phone a few months ago, and the rep at the Verizon Store told us we had to change our plan from the unlimited data plan to a limited plan. Fine.     Three months, a couple hours of support calls, a second visit to the Verizon Store, and hundreds of dollars in fees later, a 611 rep finally told me the Jet Pack service wasn't free—in fact, it came with its own contract at $50/month and $175 early termination fee.  The Verizon Store rep said "people had been fired" over this type of deception (but said he couldn't do anything about my situation), and the 611 rep acknowledged deceptive Jet Packs sales had been a problem.  Fortunately, she was sympathetic and said she'd cancel that contract and refund that month's charges.  I still ended up wasting a bunch of time and paying extra fees that I'll never get back, but I thought the hassle was over.
    Then today I get an email stating there was a new document in my account.  I logged on to find a service summary document that STILL shows the Jet Pack on my account, albeit at $20/month now.
    I cannot express in words how angry this makes me.  But I'm sure going to try when I make YET ANOTHER call to your worthless call center tomorrow.

    My first bill was a month after visiting the Verizon Store, and it was for $100 more than my usual bill.  I called 611, and the rep told me it was partly because of upgrade fees, but failed to explain why it was $100 higher than normal.
    The next month, it was $60 higher than normal, so I called again.  This time the rep told me it was because of the Jet Pack service plan.  I told her the Verizon Store salesperson told us the Jet Pack came free with the switch to the new limited data plan.  She said the device was free, but the 2-year contract was $50/month, and I'd need to visit the store to see about returning it.
    That's when I discovered the deception.  The store salesperson told us the Jet Pack was free.  I did not ask for a Jet Pack. I didn't even know what one was.  The salesperson lied to us, plain and simple.  And without getting the bill until 30 days later, your 14-day trial is meaningless.
    So I went back to the Verizon Store.  The manager said acknowledged the deception, and said "some employees have been fired over this."  But, not surprisingly, he "didn't have access to the system" to remove the Jet Pack from my account and instructed me to call 611 (again).
    So I made a THIRD call to 611, and the rep immediately acknowledged the issue, but said she needed her supervisor's permission to remove the Jet Pack.  Because her supervisor wasn't there on the weekend, she said she'd call me on Monday.  I never received a call.
    Later, I received an email showing a ~$50 refund to my account, which I assumed to be the monthly fees for the Jet Pack and considered the matter resolved.  Then I got an email referencing a new "letter" on My Verizon, which showed the Jet Pack was still on the account, albeit reduced to $20/month and 2GB.  I just received my Verizon bill, and it shows a $20 fee for the Jet Pack.
    The bottom line is Verizon tricked us into a 2-year contract for something we never asked for and to this day have NEVER used.  Two of your representatives have acknowledged it, one said she'd fix it, and yet I'm still being overcharged.  And now you're suggesting I transfer it to a family member?  This is a huge insult.
    If you were serious about providing customer support, you would refund every penny I've been overcharged for the Jet Pack I never wanted and have never used.  And you'd probably offer me some sort of compensation for the hours of frustration I've spent trying to resolve this.

    I had a flight to China Friday morning, so got up early and preordered two 6+ phones on the web.  Called Verizon to verify all was correct and was told they would ship on Monday -- no worries.  Just checked with Verizon and they say now PROBABLY going to ship sometime in October.  What the heck -- I could have ordered from Apple and gotten them on Friday 9/19.  This is the worst situation ever!!!!  Guess I'll just go to Apple store and buy phone -- then when Verizon decides to get around to sending me the phone a month after it was promised, I'll just give it back to them.

    I'm not trying to get out of my contract, I have been with Verizon for 15+ years and have always been able to do an early upgrade, we just forgo the discount $50 or $100 we would get off the new phone.  I have been told several times by Verizon employees that if I am within 6 months of my contract end I could do an early upgrade I just would not get the additional money off.  I was also told in November that I could do the edge up for any phone after Dec 31st.   I was lied to and that seems to be happening more and more.  Verizon has been changing its practices to the detriment of its loyal customers.  One of the reasons I liked Verizon and stayed with them for so long was because they were always willing to work with their customers and Verizon can change or alter their agreements anytime they want.  I wish they would train their emploves not to be deceptive and tell people one thing and then do another. I can understand if I was trying to cancel my contract but I am not and would be extending my contract by two years as opposed to leaving in the next 6 months.

  • What is wrong with Verizon's 4G network?

    A month ago, my wife and I upgraded our Droid 3 phones to new Droid 4's From day one have had issues with the internet just dropping. We have good signal strength, as indicated by the 3 bars, but the internet will just drop. Any application we have running that requires internet will error out saying it was looking for a network. I added a ping application to test the network when this happens, and it will comeback with no connection. After several minutes I might get connection back, but most the times I need to reboot.
    I have not bothered going to the Verizon store. The fact that this is happening to both of our new phones,  and many people with different 4G phones are complaining about very same issue, leads me to believe the only possible answer is that Verizon’s 4G network has a major bug in it.
    Our sons each have Droid 3 phones and this issue is not on their phones. Until Verizon fixes there network, it would be better to stay on the older 3G phones.

    I live in the Chicago suburbs and have been dealing with this for months. I know the reps want to help but until they fix the network this is the way it will be, although you will continue paying a premium for VZW data.
    I was just up that way last month since I have family that lives in Lake County. I experienced no problems with Verizon's 4G network.

    Hi, I bought a subscription to call Finland, so I can call my 87yr. old mother. Worked fine for few months. This summer we took a trip to Finland to go see her. When we got back I tried calling her with Skype and her number was blocked by Skype. I contacted their support and they assured me this block would be taken away. I tried calling later againg and it was back. I now received email from Skype saying her number is blocked and I can't call it anymore with Skype???? I was told on the chat line it's because "fraudulent use" ??? My mother has not received any strange phone calls and she does not have a computer. I would sure like to talk with a supervisor, but even after requesting this on the chat all I get is this email giving me no reason why her number is suddenly blocked. This is VERY strange behavior by the Skype customer support. As a consequence of this I lost $4.99 on my subscription for not being able to make calls to my mom. I have now cancelled my subscription. Has anyone else had a similar situation?

    I have a cq60-615dx and was told there is a recall on the audio  (see HP)  
    Well they go above and beyond making sure it is fixed.   I had a Super Duper Experince.  So why is it when you compliment them,  they appoligize for my great experince with HP.   
    OMG  ...TWICE!  
    I guess they are so use to negativity they can't handle good comments like:

    I guess the best support really is online.     
    I really don;t get why HP gets so much Flack from other people. I really LOVE HP and Compaq stuff.   
    So I am kind of a at a loss on why some people really have a bad time with there HP Products.  
    I think it is more user error then HP's doing.   
    My laptop has survived 2 car crashes.   And It's still going strong.   
    I hope to one day work for HP again.   They do a great job with Bank of America.  And I can;t wait to be on the HP team one day.

    I totally hope that you are right. I am currently having a problem with my hp's ac adapter, but this is *probably* more related to overuse rather than the quality of hp products. I bought my current hp dv6 laptop back in January, and everyone has been warning me that I will start having serious problems with it in the next year--as I've heard that most hps last only about two years before they start to experience issues that require professional support. I try to take care of it as best as I can. I clean the LCD screen every week, use compressed air on the fan once a month, and also blow out the keyboard and air vents regularly. I use a cooling pad instead of keeping it on my bed, and I always turn it off properly when it is not in use. I am very picky about my network's security as well and do not download any unecessary files. If I keep following these practices, I hope that my laptop will stay in good shape. One of my friends has had her hp for about five years, and her only problem with it was that she had to be out $30 on a new adapter after the original got fried a few years into its use.
    If you can, would you answer my question titled "Problem with AC adapter?" I would really like to get an opinion on it. My hp is still under warranty, so if I can't troubleshoot the problem, I might have to ask for a new adapter.

    I've been on hold 1 hour, 22 minutes and counting.

    I had sort of a similar issue but not the same. But it resolved by forgetting the installer  and going ahead and opening server.app and it downloaded more software and that went ok. Just a shot in the dark.

  • What's wrong with my iPhone 5c?

    Last night I was on my phone until it died. It was working perfectly fine as usual. Then this morning when I went to charge it, it turned on, but the screen looked distorted and the touch was not working. The only thing I can do is turn it on and off. I took it to an iPhone repair place to see what was wrong and if it can be fixed. The guy checked it out to see if there was any type of damage to it, which there was none. He then tried to put a different screen on it but the screens he tried also were distorted and the touch did not work. Since it couldn't be fixed, I went back home and tried to plug it into my iTunes account on my computer to see if I can somehow try to fix it from my computer by restoring it or something else. However, when I plugged it into my computer, it says that iTunes cannot connect to my iPhone because it is locked with a passcode. I don't even have a passcode on my phone. I have no idea what has happened to my phone. I have had it for about 9 months and never had an issue with it before. If anyone can help me out or at least give me an idea of what is wrong with it, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

    If you try restoring from a backup and that doesn't fix the problem, try restoring to factory settings and, if the problem goes away, then synching your apps. You'll lose the app data and settings, but if the problem is due to a corrupt cache or settings file, that should cure it.
    If none of that helps, your device may have developed a hardware fault and will need to be take or sent to Apple.

  • I need help figuring out what is wrong with my Macbook Pro

    I have a mid 2012 Macbook Pro with OS X Mavericks on it and for the past few weeks it has running VERY SLOW! I have no idea what is wrong with it, i have read other discussion forums trying to figure it out on my own. So far i have had no luck in fixing the slowness. When i open applications the icon will bounce in dock forever before opening and then my computer will freeze with the little rainbow wheel circling and circling for a few minutes... and if i try to browse websites it take forever for them to load or youtube will just stop working for me. Everything i do, no matter what i click, the rainbow wheel will pop up! The only thing i can think of messing it up was a friend of mine plugging in a flash drive a few weeks ago to take some videos and imovie to put on his Macbook Pro, he has said his laptop has been running fine though... so idk if that was the problem. Anyways, could someone please help me try something? Thank you!!

  • What is wrong with my log in display screen?

    Hey There guys,
    This problem started occurring right after i updated to Yosemite, which was quite a while back. Every time I turn on my computer and I get to the log in screen where I put my password, half the screen is normal and the other half is black with green lines running through it(this was the latest) other times it is white rectangles with little black ones running through them. Im not sure what is wrong with it, I never dropped my mac or anything.

  • What is wrong with my MacbookPro?

    My computer is a MacbookPro that I bought in 2010.
    About a month and a half ago I started to experience my computer randomly flashing white with a click and then the screen turning black. When I would hit the power key to turn it back on, it would chime, display white, then flash off again. After a few tries, it would eventually restart and turn on after holding down the power key for some time. After about a week of this, my "service battery!" sign came on, and my computer began to not hold a charge at all.
    I brought it to the Apple store after my battery literally exploded and blew out the bottom of my laptop (leaving a dent in the bottom). For about a month now, with my new battery, my computer has been fine.
    Now, about a month after getting the new battery (and after just recently downloading OS X Yosemite 10.10), my computer is starting to flash white again. I am hoping that I did not receive a faulty battery, but even if I did, would it work for an entire month with no problems and now just begin to fail again? My computer says it is holding a charge. Sometimes it flashes off with a fully charged battery.
    The times it flashes off are when I am away from it for more than about 15 minutes, I comes back, put my finger on the mouse, it comes to life seeming fine, and then immediately flashes white and shuts off.
    What is wrong with my MacbookPro?

    I think the battery issue and the screen flashes are unrelated. The 2010 MacBook Pro is notorious for its failing graphics processor: MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2010): Intermittent black screen or loss of video - Apple Support

    Hello, I am a student who is using MacBook Pro and iPod Touch 4G (32GB)
    To jump to the topic, my liquid crystal of my iPod is broken. No, it's better to say, CRASHED.
    I bought a new protecting film and case for my iPod, and i sticked and covered it.
    Suddenly, the top left corner of my iPod just crashed. I was holding the player with my finger, and it just crashed.
    So, what's wrong with my iPod? I'm pretty sure that it was not my fault. All I did was just holding the iPod with my two fingers and trying to fit the case.
    Next, is there going to be any problem that will occur when I use this?
    I am in China right now, and there are no Apple Store near the place I live. If I want to go, I have to drive there for 3-4 hours. I don't have that much time just fixing iPod. I am going back to Korea in July 2012. So, I'm thinking of just keeping my Pod in this condition until I go back to Korea. But, I'm not sure if there are going to be any problem while I am using this.
    I hope the answer will come very quick, thank you.
    p.s. I just started learning English, and my English is not that good...:p

    There are independent iPod repair services that may be able to replace the screen for less. Do a web search for "ipod repair".
    Note, though, that there is no liquid in an LCD that can leak. That's a myth.

    It sounds like you are getting excessive CPU usage when connecting an external display via HDMI to your computer. I would try the troubleshooting steps outlined in the article named:

    When using an external display be sure to check the following:
    If you're using an Apple notebook, confirm the AC power cable or adapter is securely connected to the computer and the cable providing power to the display is also secure. It is always good to have your notebook connected to AC power when an external display is in use.
    Confirm display adapters are fully seated in their respective connections and that they are supported models and for the computer and display. Refer to these articles to assist you with adapter compatibility and further configuration information:

    In most cases, OS X tells you to replace the battery when its capacity is below 80%. This is the reason why you see a message telling you to replace the battery.
    It is up to you to get the battery replaced or not. If you want to get it replaced, you need to take the Mac to an Apple Store, and the battery replacement will costs $129 + labour. You can replace it yourself by buying the battery online. Also, if your Mac is in warranty, the battery replacement is free.
