What languages are supported in Lumia 800 UK versi...

Does anyone know what language options Lumia 800 sold in UK has?

I was under the impression perhaps erroneously that Windows is much restrictive than previous Nokia OS in this respect, even though Windows Mobile 7.5 Mango delivers increasing support for other languages.
Happy to have helped forum with a Support Ratio = 42.5

  • Glonass support in Lumia 800

Does anyone know what is the situation with the Glonass support in Lumia 800?
According ot Wikipedia the support is there. However, it is not listed in the speca in Nokia pages.
Apparently the Snapdragon processor does support Glonass and since Nokia announced already in August 2011 that they would support Glonass in their phones in the future, it would be odd not to have the support in the Lumia phones.

    Hi Aatuli,
Thank you for your new post and big welcome to the Nokia discussion forums!
In response to your questions Nokia has said that support is planned, but as yet the schedule is yet unknown. Currently, no Nokia devices support it.
    Hope this answers your question.

  • What languages are in the FontPack11000XtdALF_Land.msi?

    Hi,
I am wondering what languages are included within that pack? There is no documentation available for this pack?
    FontPack11000XtdALF_Land.msi
Especually interresting for me is arabic. I have the need to support arabic as language within the PDF text.
The used OS will be Win 8.1 on Intel HW and best would be version 11.0.17 if that works out
I was also not able to find something about useable fonts for arabic or if there is something I should think about in the first end?
    Best regards
    Archisaurus

The fonts are far eastern fonts (Chinese - both, Japanese, Korean, which need CMaps and substitiute fonts in case he font is not embedded. No download is needed to support Arabic.

  • VERY Basic Questions about Oracle eBusiness - what "languages" are used?

Please forgive the very basic nature of this post- (I have been in systems (IT) for over 20 years, so I do have lots of systems experience, but no exposure to this particular software.)
So here are the basic questions - I assume that much of the data base logic is written in PL/SQL, but what other tools / languages are the applications written in?
(Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, Java, C, something else?)
With over 20 years and experience with a number of other packages, I can learn a great deal about an application by 1. Looking at the DB structures (charts), 2. looking into DB code (Packages, triggers, procedure, functions) and 3. Seeing the screen shots.
None of my customers have had Oracle eBusiness - that have had home grown applications or other COTS/packages.
can anyone suggest a place where an independent person can inexpensively get some exposure?
My sincere thanks for any answers/suggestions.

Yes, .sequ files are in a proprietary/internal format.

  • RuleBasedBreakIterator - which languages are supported?

    Hi
I need to split text into words for lexical analysis, and RuleBasedBreakIterator seems the logical place to start. I gather that some eastern languages don't use whitespace to separate words, hence the existence of DictionaryBasedBreakIterator.
I can't find a definitive list of languages that are supported. I'm looking for Japanese, Korean, Chinese and Russian. Anyone know if these are supported and if there is a definitive list anywhere?
    Thanks,
    Rob

I'm assuming that you're referring to the class of the same name in ICU4J, since it isn't in the standard Java API. Your question isn't quite in their FAQ, which is here:
    http://icu.sourceforge.net/icu4j_faq.html#RBBI_1
However it doesn't seem to have been updated recently (my impression based on references to Java 1.1). You could take its suggestion to "contact us" and ask on their mailing list, I suppose.

  • What formats are supported by CAS web crawler?

    Hi,
Can anyone please explain if image and video formats are supported by CAS web crawler? If yes, then in what form are they returned?
    Please let me know.
    Thanks!

CAS will crawl the images or videos and collect metadata information about them (e.g. directory location, file name, file type, file size, etc.) so you can search and refine by the metadata. However, as suggested already, CAS (which leverages Oracle's InsideOut technology, formerly Stellent) cannot convert these types of files to meaningful text.
From the CAS Developer's Guide in Appendix A you can find a list of supported file formats for text conversion:

  • What HDDs are supported for Satellite 5100-201

    Hi!
My disk made some strange noises, maybe it have one foot in the grave...
Have latest bios 1.9. and original disk at 30GB.
Have an Hitachi 40GB I tried with, but notebook did not find it.
So I would like to know what disks and sizes that are supported for that model.
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi
Very strange did you use a compatible 40GB HDD?
In my knowledge the notebook should be able to recognize the 40GB HDD.
As far as I know the 30 GB HDD which was installed is a Toshiba MK3017GAP and the computer supports a 20, 30, 40 or 60 GB HDDs.
I think these HDD should be compatible:
    Toshiba HDD2171B 40GB HDD
    HITACHI G8BC00009110 40GB HDD
    Toshiba HDD2183B 60GB
PS: The strange noise coming from the HDD could be the beginning of the end
    So make a data backup.

  • What countries are supported by the Oracle Spatial Geocoder (10g 2)?

    hi @ all,
can anybody tell me which countries are supported (especially in east-europe[turkey,georgia,...]) ?
    Denmark
    France
    Germany
    Ireland
    Italy
    Regards,
    greq

    Hi Luc,
our data supplier deliver us the geodata as shape-files, so we migrate them in 'Oracle Spatial geocoding' tables.
For some countries (west europe: germany, france,... ) a geocoding-Parser already exists, but not for all countries. We get now some new data from turkey, ukraina, ..., but we don't know if a parser for this countries exists.

    Hello Arthur M,
    You said:
    ok thanks
    so in this case what's the serial# ? ;)
I see that every session has an different SID and Serial#.
its looks like redondant information... These info are in combination a unique session identifier. Let's take an example:
    SID---SERIAL#---USERNAME
    10----22--------USER1
    11----10--------USER2
    12----24--------USER3
    13----25--------USER4
Let's say USER3 disconnects. we now have:
    SID---SERIAL#---USERNAME
    10----22--------USER1
    11----10--------USER2
    12----24--------
    13----25--------USER4
    And now USER5 connects:
    SID---SERIAL#---USERNAME
    10----22--------USER1
    11----10--------USER2
    12----25--------USER5
    13----25--------USER4
    Now, a little explanation.
When a user connects the system gives him a Session IDentifier (SID). But, each time a SID is given to a session, the SERIAL# is increased. THis allows to differentiate sessions. Immagine you just had a look at the sessions at step 1. If you want to kill the session, ods are when you issue the command, you'll be at step 3. If you just identify the session via SID, you just killed the USER5 session. Oops.
Same things appear for locks, enqueues, ...
So the only way to be sure is to have the SID and SERIAL#. SID can be considerred like a "Connexion Slot" and SERIAL# like "The number of times the Connexion Slot has been used".
    Hope this helps,
    Yoann.

  • What query languages are supported by SSAS?

    Hi there,
I am currently writing a paper on Microsoft SSAS and I was wondering if I could ask the Microsoft moderators and the community for some information concerning the languages supported by SSAS.
I understand that SSAS supports both MDX for multidimensional and DAX for tabular models. Hoever, can I use any other language to query data?
For instance? Is it fair to sayt that I could I use T-SQL to query data? If so, do I need to have a specific storage mode configured (i.e.: ROLAP) or could I use T-SQL for queries regardless if I am using ROLAP, HOLAP or even MOLAP?
Also, is it correct to include LINQ in this category, as well as XML for analysis?
If you could provide some literature in your answer that would be great (but no sweat if you can't).
    Best Regards,
    P.

Yes, the dialect of SQL supported is very, very limited.
Don't forget that SSAS also supports DMX for data mining. You can also use this to query your cube, but again it's not pretty - see
    http://cwebbbi.wordpress.com/2009/05/20/joining-the-results-of-two-mdx-queries-together/ for example.
Regarding LINQ, there's at least one third-party product that allows you to use it on top of cubes:
    http://www.agiledesignllc.com/Products.htm
Finally, the very latest versions of SSAS 2012 Multidimenionsional can be queried with DAX as well as MDX (which means that both Tabular and Multidimensional models can be queried with either DAX or MDX):

  • What languages are available by default

    Hello!
What are the default languages that download on Firefox Mobile for Android devices? Has this list been consistent through versions downloading on 2013-2014? Does this list vary in the default spell check dictionaries?

hello LC8a, you can see the list of available languages in the menu > settings >languages. those haven't been consistent but new languages get constantly added thanks to the localisation communities.
firefox for android doesn't have a spell-checker, this might be a feature that is included in the keyboard app you're using...

  • HT5176 What languages are the chinese input methods associated with?

In the help file for iOS Dictation the following paragraph regards to selecting language for dictation
When you want to change the language used for Dictation:
Tap the globe icon to change to the keyboard for that language.
Tap the microphone icon to start Dictation.
Note: To use Dictation, the keyboard language needs to be a supported language. Dictation is designed to recognize the specific accents and dialects of the supported countries listed above. Since every language has its own accents and dialects, the accuracy rate will be higher for native speakers.
Now there are couple chinese input methods for simplified or traditional chinese typing.  However, which one relates to "cantonese"? They both use the same characters but with different pronunciation.

Following up, here is the situation:
Using "Chinese Traditional - Changjie" as input method,
1, dictation WILL listen as Cantonese if SIRI is set to Cantonese-Hong Kong
2, dictation defaults to Mandarin if SIRI is set to English
Further testing concluded that regardless of the input method, as long as Siri is set to Cantonese-Hong Kong the dictation can listen to cantonese, and otherwise it cannot.
Is there a way to individually toggle dictation language?
