What program is used to use Flash based web programs

I have a Member who is using a MAC Computer and trying to Access a Internet order program which uses Flash Player, How can they Access this site?

What site? When they navigate to the site with their browser they should get a prompt to download the flash player if they do not have it already installed. Have them try a different browser as a test.
Are you sure it is a flash issue and not an active X or javascript issue? Maybe it is javascript and they have javascript turned off/blocked in their browser.

How to customize flash-based web galleries?

Has anyone here figured out how to customize the CS4 Bridge flash-based web galleries? Specifically, I'd like to be able to add the "description" line from the metadata to an image, without having to add ALL the metadata (as a couple of the galleries allow).
Seems like such a simple thing. Can't imagine why Adobe didn't add it. It is standard in the older HTML gallery templates.

Flash is not supported on the iPad - and as Adobe have announced that they are stopping development on all mobile versions of it, it probably never will be.
Browser apps such as Skyfire, iSwifter, Puffin and Photon 'work' on some sites, but judging by their reviews not all sites. Also some websites, especially news sites, have their own apps in the App Store.

Flash freezes (halts/hangs) when using SLC FastForward flash based product. Help!

I'm using Windows XP SP3 - Chrome Version 23.0.1271.97 m, Firefox 17.0.1. - i7 Q Core 3.4 Ghz, 4 Gb DDR 3, AMD Radeon HD 6452 (Video Card) : The screen seems to completely lock up with no response from the HID (Keyboard, Mouse). I have to restart the computer, sometimes it will let me restart the browser. I'll be using the product for several minutes and the computer locks up. It mainly occurs in Chrome and am wondering; since it's a peppered version of Flash that it's requiring more resources from the video card (512mb) it's locking the system up. Anyone have ideas why flash would be failing/freezing during the use of this product? The symptoms and behavior are similar to those that occur when using other flash based products such as YouTube. Any one have any ideas?

the next time it happens, post your logs. /var/log/Xorg.0.log would be one of things to look at. Check your CPU usage at that time. See what process or processes are taking most of the CPU cycles and/or memory and other resources.

ISight's not working on flash based web page...

I work as a lecturer for University of Zirve from Gaziantep in Turkey. We have a learning management system with a virtual class. Our class is based flash. . The iSight camera is not working on our virtual class page. In older version MAC OSX 10.6.4, it was work successfully, but in newer version (we tried v10.6.8 and v10.7.2, -in these versions i can use skype video call-) it isn't working. What can be the problem?

How to Use JNI for linux based C programs

Hi all,
I am doing my project in JAVA for my Institute. There is a Central server. All the API's have written in C. The C APIs are Linux based.
The problem is getting records from the database through API.
I tried the Java Native Methods. I am able to do that in console with out problem. Since my project is web based I want to fetch the records through the C APIs in JSP. Is it possible? How to do that?
Please Help me.

Basic process.
1. Write the JNI
2. Insure the JNI is in the servers shared library path. This can depend on the user that the server runs under (unlikely to be you.)
3. Add the java code into the server.

What's best "drag/drop" or template-based web page designer?

Without learning HTML, what would you suggest for the best drag & drop style web page designer/editor for setting up a fairly professional looking website that will be used for commerce, including shopping carts, etc.? There are many for Windows, what's the best one for Mac, hopefully free or shareware?

Well before you mentioned the whole commercial aspect of things, I still would have suggested iWeb. You might check out Sandvox or RapidWeaver, though I'm not sure that any of these will be particularly suited for commercial uses in terms of security and privacy.

On my mac book I am being asked to install flash for certain websites with embedded video, primarily my college intranet, but also BBC News for example.
Yet I can view these videos on my iPad and I know flash is not installed.

Advantage of Flash based Camcorders

I am using a Mini DV Camcorder. But what are the advantages of the Flash Based machines? I see one major drawback is that the videos require Hard disk space after the SD card fills, where with my Camera they are stored on digital tapes which are cheap. I dont think any of the flash based cameras would work on my Mac or with my version of iMovie anyways, but just curious you can say. My new Canon digital camera records video on its 4GB flash card, so how would one of the flash camcorders be better than my Canon digital camera? I have been told that Mini DV camcorders record at a higher quality than these MPEG camcorders.

When I generate pl*sql based web programs and try run them I get the following errors:

I've got the htp and relate packages installed, and the WSGL packages installed under a new user WEBTOOLKIT. I've create public synonyms, granted execute on them to public but when I use them I get the messages above. I've checked and all the packages are valid. it's like some form of permissions problem. Any help would be appreciated.

and when your tor browser is open, go to the tools at the top left and click on 'add-ons' then 'extentions'... in the 'no script' section click 'options' and choose the 'embeddings' tab... uncheck 'forbid Adobe Flash' press 'OK'...

Firefox is asking me what program I want to use to open firefox. It has never done this before.

Several days ago an XP internet Security 2012 invaded my computer. It would not let me do anything except sign up for a $60 program. It did allow me to send a message to its support stall. But of course I could not get to my email to read their answer. Yesterday I went to safe mode Firefox and that allowed me to get to my email. The message from XP internet security apologized and suggested that I set the date on my computer 6 days ahead and that would remove their program. So I did and their program is gone. But now whenever I want to use firefox it asks me what program I want to use, I select Firefox and the site opens. Also I can not change to date back to normal. When I go to the control panel and click on date and time, it says application not found and does the same thing for most everything else in the control panel.

Notebook shuts down when using flash-based applications on FB

A few minutes after I log in several facebook flash-based applications (Cafe World, Treasure Isle, Frontier Ville) my pc shuts down. This has not always been the case, only in the couple past weeks. At first I thought my notebook was overheating...but how can a flash-based game overheat a pc in less than 5 minutes? I was a bit perplexed since ZyngaPoker (another flash-based app) causes no problems even if I play for an hour straight but then again I turned my notebook one morning after leaving it idle for 12 hours and went directly to one of the aforementioned apps. 3 mins and.. BAM. I have a good pc, always use Chrome and good software (such as CCleaner, Deffragler, SpeedFan etc). I am not so familiar with flash so I don't know what I might have do in order to resolve this issue. I hope some of the gurus here might get to read this thread and give me any tips.

Flash has had its day ! future active content on our website will be with HTML5 tools which allow for all the same functions.
Flash is buggy or inoperative on portable devices which already account for nearly 15% of our traffic, this is predicted to rise to as much as 50% in the next few years.
I am not aware of HTML5 at all, tha testifies how often they let me out of here !
I start to google this and see that Adobe have Wallaby to convert swf to html5, but reading the table of what works, and what doesnt, it seems like only dumb basic things will translate over, its full of semi or unsupported functions. Importantly AS3 code is not supported, as well as a host of other things that surely make flash the clever thing that it is. I create maps with coding for buttons that open other parts of the map, coding that allows zoom and pan and so on. I have artwork with raster images in it of vehicles, the artwork has to look realistic. Table says coding and raster images unsupported.
If Flash is to be put down, and Adobe cant even get the table to be full of supported aspects, what hope is there ?
What can anyone tell me about how I use HTML5 to create artwork from scratch, or to get these intelligent files converted to HTML5 ?
If I wish to alter a file later on, I asume I open the Flash fla, make the changes, then convert it to HTML5 again and go through again any hell holes the first conversion saw.
If portable devices are responsible for the demise of Flash, is that not the tail wagging the dog ?
IMPORTANTLY....are there programs that create HTML5 files like Flash creates from scratch its files ? It will need such to be able to draw the artwork.
I was told you can create HTML5 with notepad, no way could I draw my artwork with notepad ! People would need to be Spock !
I create the vector content in Adobe (formerly Macromedia) Freehand (better than Illustrator) and so would need a prog that imported Freehand files. I currently use Flash8 to do so then migrate to CS5.
Is it that a HTML5 file creating program exists and one needs to start from scratch on a file and this will then be able to do the clever things that coding and flash can do, and it will allow use of raster images ? What is that program ?
I read that Flash 10.1 is less of a CPU hog than Flash 10 and in act is better at times than HTML5 Apple have made a business move and caused this it seems.
I am using Flash Pro CS5, so what is this 10.1 ?
I put HTML5 into the forum search window and found nothing, a little surprised at that.
