What to do for getting a good battery backup for E...

I had brought the E6 after a convincing conversation at the Nokia Priority Partner shop and the executive there told me that E6 is a smartphone and also gives a good battery backup. Only on this condition I bought this new phone but to my misfortune this does not have a good battery backup. Everyday morning I need to charge my battery or the phone is dead. This is very much annoying as well as disappointing. I even suffered software issues with my E6. Thrice I needed to get its software reinstalled and even now having issues with the same. The priority centre only tells each time that you get the software reinstalled and your E6 will work fine. But I'm surprised that E6 only borrows my time to get it checked on the go.
No doubt this phone is one of the best which Nokia has ever brought, but, still if it could help me sort this issue then I would rank E6 to be the best in its class.

Which country did you buy your phone in?
There are many posts dealing with this issue and steps to be taken to increase battery life.
Some important ones are:
1. Switch off 3G if you do not need it.
2. Reduce the mail retrieval frequency if you have configured email accounts.
3. Switch off automatic WiFi scanning.
4. Reduce number of homescreens.
5. Close any background application that you do not need.
6. Switch to power saving mode when you do not actively use the phone for longer periods.

  • Additional FiOS Voice Battery Backup for I-211-M-K

I understand that the battery backup for the phone lasts about 8 hours.  That is not enough for a significant blackout.  Can I order an additional battery backup unit?
I have the small desktop version of the ONT.  The model is I-211-M-K.  So I would need the battery backup unit that goes with this.  Is this available to purchase?  I don't see why it shouldn't be.  If a customer wants more hours of backup time in case of an emergency, then we should be able to have it.
    Thanks.

Good evening. You can call our battery replacement center at 877-503-3537 to get an additional batteries.

No need to guess - that's why. 5GB per account, upgradeable at a cost.

  • I need a good portable battery backup for my iphone5.  Needs to be small and able to recharge the phone at least twice before it runs out of juice.  Any suggestions?

I need a small portable battery charger for my iphone5.  It seems to eat the battery quickly and there are times when I am away from a outlet to plug into.  Like I said it needs to be small, and rugged, as it will be out in the boat or out in the woods while hunting

Bought the same SRW2048 thinking it should be a good upgrade for the unmanaged 10/100 switch, but within the first two weeks, I need RMA. Then the new switch is starting to have similar problem. Some are trying to blame some network packets causing the switch to reboot. I have a pretty simple default configuration (plug it in, assign IP and plug in workstations!)
    Here's my laundry list:
    - Time is off, never come back to the right one and SNTP never really works. When the switch reboots, I get back to the 00/00/00 and it's a pain to the time right.
    - I see ports going online and offline and lots of them. I know there are nobody at the office, so it has got to be the switch.
We do not have any complex network set up, just one SRW2048 to a ~30 node s network. One one side is the clients and on the upside is a pix firewall.
It's so hard to setup each time the switch reboots, the whole office scramble and lost work.
If you guys have an answer to why ports go offline/online, etc... or why the switch does a cold start, please share.

  • Where do i get an original battery replacement for iPhone4 in India?

just wanted to know where can i get a genuine apple oem battery replacement for iPhone4 in India???

Take the device to an authorized repair facitility or Apple store (if there are any in India) and pay them to replace the battery.  The device is not designed to be user servicable in any way.  Apple does not sell parts.

  • I don't have phone, but the TV says I need to replace battery backup for phone?!?!?!

    Hello,
For three years, we've had Verizon Fios Internet and TV.  We've never had a phone.
Today, the contraption Verizon plugged in the wall (sadly, I'm not really sure what it is, and had forgotten it existed until today as it's tucked behind some furniture) started beeping and the replace battery indicator light is on.  Furthermore, when I turn on TV, I am greeted with this message:
    My questions are:
    (1) If I don't have phone service, why would I even have a battery backup (much less need to replace it) to allow phone service during power outages?
    (2) Since I have only internet and TV, can I safely go without replacing this battery?
    (3) If the answer to #2 is yes, then how do I get the thing in the wall to stop beeping every 30 minutes?
Thank you in advance to any responses.

You can unplug the battery in your optical network terminal (ONT) and the message needing to replace the battery will go away.  Verizon customer service did confirm the battery is only for phone service when power is off.
I was only able to find 3 links on the alarm / battery backup.  It looks like they never thought about people who did not want the phone feature and to silence the beeping with the battery removed?
I don't know how frequently my unit beeps, but I don't normally hear it because it is in my garage.  I don't know if it has a pattern to when it beeps; but when I'm in the garage, I sometimes hear a single loud beep for about 1 second.
I imagine the battery must enable the laser to function when the power is off besides supply power to the copper phone lines in your house for a line powered phone.  I would assume then that if one had a UPS to power the computer and router and a good battery in the BBU; then one could have an internet when the power is off too?  Verizon user manuals don't mention this, so it might not work?

  • Best Battery Backup for iMac 27"?

Just received my new iMac 27" i7.  I contacted Apple and they told me I don't really need a battery backup to protect the iMac but it's always a good idea.  So I am looking for an inexpensive backup to just protect the iMac and give me a few minutes to shutdown.  I have been reading about battery backups and from my understanding rating (va or watts) can be less than the iMac.  The only real difference is that the time to successfully shut down will be shorter.  Is this correct?  The 27" has a 340 watt power supply so I could get a 240 watt backup and be fine if I only wanted to shut down wilthout damage the iMac?
Any suggestions on what to get?  It's almost impossible to make an informed decision because of specifications like "pure sine wave output", "dirty backup power" and "constant voltage source".  I am totally confused.  Do I really need one at all?
    Thank you
    VPH

Do you need to hook up the USB cable
You don't have to, but if you don't, when the battery runs out, your Mac will crash.
If you connect the cable and set the preferences to shut it down after a certain period of time, or when there's a certain percentage of the battery left, etc., per the pink box in the link provided earlier, it will do a controlled powerdown.
and install the APC shut down software?
No, do not install that.  It's been incompatible with Macs for several years.
Your Mac has the software already built-in.

  • Anyone know how get some good metal tones for guitar?

I'm plugging straight in through a boss metalzone and setting the amp simulation on clean but I haven't been able to get it to sound halfway decent. I've been screwing around with different amp simulations for days and I can't get any tones that I really like. I've tried bypassing my metalzone but the preset distortions have way to much feedback and noise. Any suggestions on what settings to use? by the way, I play progressive thrash/death/black/doom metal and I'm using logic express 7.2.3

Yeah, I second chaining different Plug-Ins. Also try using Bus Sends and Aux tracks to blend certain amounts of effects. With this, try mixing 3 or more Guitar Amps on Aux Tracks with different settings on each, or slightly different from each one, and pan them to something you like. I have found this to be extremely awesome. I got the idea after reading how they engineered 10,000 Days by Tool and found Adam Jones uses 3 cabinets with an SM57, 421, and another mic to complement the 57 and 421, and they put 3 mics on the cabinets, so the guitar sound was made of 9 tracks and were never EQ'ed because they could use those tracks as EQ and tweak it the way they wanted.

  • Why is apple repairs so expensive when i can get the ipodtouch battery replaced for $9.99 at digiexpress????

I paid $150 for a replacement ipod which died in a month. Apple wanted
Another $150 but i went to digiexpress and they replaced the battery for $9.99!
    Whats up with apple??

You should have had a 90-day warranty on the replacement iPod, so if it indeed failed in a month, Apple should have replaced it. Did they refuse, and if so what reason did they give? Or did you wait until after 90 days to contact them?
As to the replacement price, Apple charges only US $79 for battery replacement on an iPod touch, not $150. Who quoted you $150?

  • Is this good battery life for an iPhone 4?

I have two iPhone 4's.  (That's iPhone 4, not 4s!  )   I was wondering how well their battery life was holding up.
Over several days of use, I found the following.  (These are different usage patterns, after a full charge of the battery.)
    iPhone 4 #1
After 8 hours, the battery was at 34%.
         Another time, after 5 1/2 hours, 56%.
         Yet another, after 10 1/2 hours, 14%.
    IPhone 4 #2
After 7 hours, the battery was at 45%.
Another time after a full charge, usage was 5 hours and battery 55%.
I used both phones similarly in the 5 usage periods.
Would this be the best way to determine which iPhone's battery is in better shape?  (They seem similar.)
Or, is there an app that would provide the equivalent of what the Mac's System Profiler does--telling mAH remaining on the battery and a verbal adjective describing the battery's condition?

    Is this normal?
I just charged my phone to a full 100%.
    Now it is at 96%.
    With usage: 13minutes.
    And standby: 33 minutes.
The battery drains about 1% for every 4 minutes of use, so that seems normal. But it's too small a sample to be meaningful. You need to go through several discharge cycles and record the results to determine if you are within spec. Alternatively, stop being obsessive about battery life and just enjoy the phone.

  • What i have to do for get a repair the screen for my 8 gb 4th g ipod touch

The screen of my ipod its breaked I want to know what I have to do for repair it

Apple does not repair iPods, but will replace the entire iPod for a flat fee; see the Repair Pricing section here:
    http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/service/faq/
There are independent iPod repair services that may be able to replace the screen for less. Do a web search for "ipod repair". Note, though, that if you elect to have the iPod serviced by an unauthorized shop, all further support from Apple will be void.
    Regards.
