Whats my password?

I download Oracle 11g just 2 days back from the official server just for using SQL Plus. But now everytime I open SQL Plus it shows me a DOS Console and asks me for username and password. The one I gave to it in the beginning of installation is not working.
Moreover after every 10 to 15min I get an error message from windows saying nmefwmi.exe has stopped working!
Please help me with the strange problem!!

Hi there; what do you mean by "from official server just for sql*plus"? My initial guess would be that you've probably forgotten your password. Tell us something else though, which user are you using to log into your DB?
The nmefwmi.exe windows process is associated to the OracleDBConsole<ORACLESID> service. My guess is you're using Windows Vista; well if thats the case, simply do either of the following:
1. Install the latest patch-set for 11g R1 which is 11.1.0.7.0 (you probably downloaded the
Base release - 11.1.0.6.0)
2. Go to Control Panel> Services> and look for the service OracleDBConsole<ORACLESID>
(most likely OracleDBConsoleorcl in your case) and disable it.
Hope this helps you out.
Cheers,
Phiri

  • Apparently I have MULTIPLE Apple ID's, many linked to very old computers/emails that I no longer use and I have no clue what they are nor what the passwords could possibly be. I just want to be able to listen to music THAT I OWN!

    I am trying to play music on my iTunes that I had burned from either CD's that I had bought & own (in order to preserve the CD from damage and it is all only for my personal use) or purchased through iTunes. Much, but not all of this was done on an old computer, and on old e-mails that no longer exist, and for that matter I have no clue what the passwords could possibly be! The computer that I use now is at least 10 years old, so how am I supposed to remember passwords from that long ago? I am constantly being told to reset my password, but that apparently just seems to compound the issue. One account will not even accept my birthday and my security question which I know with 100% certainty are correct. I JUST WANT ACCESS TO MUSIC I OWN OR HAVE PURCHASED over the past 20+ years, and I don't care what computer I did it on or what e-mail address I used, and forget about trying to recall my password! Apple makes it so difficult to do passwords it's ridiculous! I would need a book to write down every password that I have tried, and apparently not succeeded in using! add to my frustration is that my son put literally TONS of his music onto my computer and used his various Apple ID's and passwords, and it's just a bumble cluck of a mess. AGAIN, I only want access to MY MUSIC!

    You're supposed to remember them or make note of them because they are key to a resource in which you have invested financially, just like keeping records for bank accounts you have or keys to your car.  It is just that people haven't woken up to the importance of having a digital legacy too.

    I am trying to set up a co-worker's email on her iPhone and I don't know what her password for Thunderbird is and neither does she. Can I get the password somehow, or what do you recommend?

    There is no password to Thunderbird. The password you need is to the email account. Contact the email provider for password reset.

    Go to iTunea>Preferences>Devices and see if there is a backupright at the time you did the update. Then try restoring from that backup. If the apps are in your iTunes library, any app data will be restored to the iPod.
    When restoring from an iOS 4 (or later) backup, if the device had a passcode set, iTunes will ask if you want to set a passcode (and remind you that you had protected your device with a passcode). iTunes will not ask you to set a passcode when restoring from iOS 3.x and prior backups.
    Therefore, remembe the passcode that you enter this time.
    It appears that if you restore from a backup, that backup is not subseqyently overwritten by the next backup.

    Hello tcnolen1,
    It sounds like you are trying to change the Apple ID logged into the iTunes & App Stores on your iPhone.  Use these steps:
    Changing your Apple ID account
    Tap Settings > iTunes & App Stores, then tap the Apple ID signed in.
    Sign out of the current Apple ID account and then sign in with another account or create a new Apple ID.
    You can find the full article here:

  • I'm trying to restore my Ipod touch from a backup however I don't remember the password, how do I find out what the password is?

    My ipod was sent into reset mode when it was pluged into my bf's computer. I pluged it into my computer where itunes is and itunes said I had to reset it, so I did and now I'm trying to restore it from a back up in itunes. Which I didn't know exsisted and didn't set up but it's locked with a password and I have no idea what the password is. Is there a way for me to find out?

    - If the backup has a password (called encrypted backup) then you either have to remember password or correctly guess the passcode or set up the iPod as new.
    - A fw other users have reported the same problem. Tyr using other passwords like your Apple ID PW:

    Hi macbookprowilliam, I have the SAME problem, that grey lock just appeared trolling me. I dunno the password and I wan't to sell this macbook! I need the password. Maybe it's a new malware! • How can I figure out what my password is and keep it unlocked?  Every time I do a system update, it requires the password and sends me into cyber trouble with the remember my keychain access, requiring it every time I log in.  A real hassle to be avoided

    How can I find out what my password on the computer is?  I had to change it due to my teenagers helping themselves, and now every time there is a system update, I have to have the password, which I cannot remember or find.  It then wants it every time I log in and pops up Key Chain Access as well.  Very annoying.  I do not have the disc to reload it and fear I would loose everything on my computer as there is also trouble with the back up system.  Too many issues and not enough solutions.  Many thanks in advance!

    I do not have the disc to reload
    Why not?  You need your system dvds to troubleshoot & to reset/change passwords in view of your current OS listed in your  profile.
    You can get replacement System Install & Restore CD/DVDs from Apple's Customer Support - in the US, (800) 767-2775 - for a nominal S&H fee. You'll need to have the model and/or serial number of your Mac available.
    If you're not in the US, you may need to go through the regional Apple Store that serves your location to find the contact number. Here's a list of links to all of those - http://store.apple.com/Catalog/US/Images/intlstoreroutingpage.html Another resource:  International Support Phone #s.
    ===============
    I have to have the password, which I cannot remember or find.
    When selecting passwords, make sure it's one that you will NEVER forget AND no one else can figure out.
    Old school--- > Print it out & keep in a safe place.  A place that ONLY you know about AND never forget.
    New school---> Get a password manager utility.  Highly recommend 1Password which is shareware.  Do a Google search for free password managers.

    I Have no idea what the password is for my airport utility

    Open Keychain Access in the /Applications/Utilities/ folder and try finding it. If that doesn't work, click here and perform a soft reset.

  • Hey does anyone know what the password is going to be after a restore?

    hey does anyone know what the password is going to be after a restore?

    I keep trying to poke them into action. I did send a email to the regulator who seemed to indicate the license or regulations we good to go . Maybe thier so hard pressed in building sites as you said although it seemed wrapped up a year ago. My friend ATT service is excellent here and the exact location has att tower there so I know this would work its just a matter of prodding Verizon into action . my hope is they will notice and do something about this .

  • Years and years ago I signed up for firefox sync. I have no idea what the password is so I can use it on the new computer. I also do not know what email address I was using at the time.

    Years and years ago I first started with firefox sync. I have no idea what the password is. Nor do I remember the email address I was using at the time. I now have a new computer and can't set up the firefox sync. I can not be the only person to have had this problem.

    Unless you remember your "Username" (Not Email) then the only option I'm aware of is to Create a new account
    *Request [https://account.services.mozilla.com/forgot Forgotten Password] (Username Needed)
    *Create [http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/mobile/sync/ New Account]
    The whole point of Firefox Sync is to save/access data between different devices - Your Username should be listed on one of your Devices, unless you just happen to replace all of them at the same time.
    If you could gain access to an account w/ atleast knowing the Username/Email Address/Password then what would be the point of "Security"
    Thats why [http://www.steganos.com/us/products/for-free/locknote/overview/ LockNote] is handy to jot down account notes and secure it w/ a password... stick it on a thumbdrive.

    Hi I have a new mac book pro. I am swopping over from an imac. An authorize this computer message has come up for an old itunes account. I have no idea what the password is. Is there a way to find out or transfer to my new account?

    Let me see if I've gotten this right! You want to remove an account from BOTH machines? Do this for your new machine first, then for the other.
    Click the Apple logo on the top left of the screen, System Preferences, Users and Groups (under Systems), unlock the lock in the window if its locked (you need to know the password), select the user that you wish to remove, and click the - sign next to the + sign for Login options. A window will pop up with some options. Select Delete this user and securely, and click 'Delete user'.
    After this, do an update from the App Store.
    Thats all there is to it.
    For the other machine repeat the process except for one thing. Before you delete the user in this case YOU, you will have to give Administrator priviledges to your son bu checking the box 'Allow user to administer this computer'.
    Do NOT do anything from Finder ... if you dont know how to fix the consequences of the problems caused.
    There is no need to unauthorize your iTunes account on your new machine. Do it on the old machine though.

  • When I try to HotSync with my PC it asks for a password, I don't remember setting my palm with a password, how do I find out what the password is?

    Thank you.
    Post relates to: Tungsten E

    It would be best if you could guess what password you might have set on the palmpilot. If you can't, then (on my PalmOS 5.2.1 PDA) I can tap "security" on the home screen, then tap the "Assigned" box, & finally do the "Delete a password" procedure. You will lose whatever data is password protected.
    Good luck

  • How can I tell users what the password complexity requirements are in OWA 2013?

    I'm writing this question so I can also provide the answer, because I couldn't find an answer online anywhere.
    The goal was to edit the password change page to put the complexity requirements on it so users know what's expected when they change their password in OWA (Exchange 2013).  I wanted to customize a web page somewhere to tell users what characters they
    needed to put in their password to be accepted when we have the complexity requirement turned on in the default domain policy.  (The extra words are to help search engines find this when people are searching for a solution to this.)
    All I could find were outdated instructions for 2010 and 2007, which did not work.
    Answer forthcoming...

    The answer I came up with was to edit the "ChangePassword.ascx" file found at C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V15\ClientAccess\ecp\PersonalSettings as below:
    First, find:
             <div>
                <asp:Label ID="lblPersonalSettingPasswordAfterChange" Text="<%$ Strings:OwaOption.PersonalSettingPasswordAfterChange %>" runat="server"  umc-slabdescription="true"
    aria-hidden="false" cssclass="dscrptn"></asp:Label>
            </div>
    Then, right after that, add your verbage within another DIV tag as such (you can even use an unordered/bulleted list):
    <div>
    PASSWORD REQUIREMENTS<br />
    Your new password must:
    <ul><li>be at least 8 characters long,</li>
    <li>contain at least one letter (a,b,C,D), </li>
    <li>contain at least one number (1,2,3,4), </li>
    <li>contain at least one symbol (.*#$@&),</li>
    <li>NOT contain your name, </li>
    <li>and not have been used before.</li></ul>
    <br />
    </div>
    This works if you're choosing to go change your password, but I still need to see if it works when a change is required at first login - that feature is broken again but I'm hoping CU3 will fix it.  Seems MS breaks that feature with every other update.

  • Trying to restore Time Machine back-up from WD MyBookLive - whats the Password?!

    Hi all,
    my son has a Macbook Pro running Lion. Yesterday it hung when downloading the 10.7.3 update and wouldn't reboot properly.
    We logged in via safe mode and managed to sort this out, however I was initially looking at doing a restore from his time machine back-up. I had booted the recovery partition and chosen the 'restore from a time machine back-up' - then it had prompted me for a username and password to gain access to the back-up...
    When I set up the Time Machine Back-ups I always have selected (as recommended by Apple and Western Digital) the Guest user. Therefore I have no idea what the username or password should be??? I've hunted on the web for any kind of answer however theres no certain answer...
    I'm hoping someone out there will know what username and password it is expecting? Is this from Time Machine, or a default username/password set by the Western Digital NAS???
    I hope someone can help - my time machine backs up both my own, my wifes and my sons macbooks, its all very well having the back-ups but not worth it if I can never get access to them when I need to!
    thanks in advance

    I think you are not restoring your files in the correct way.
    If what you want to do is to restore a complete Time Machine backup, you have to do it in OS X Recovery, so first hold Command and R keys while your Mac is starting up. Then, choose the option to restore a Time Machine backup, and follow its steps.
    If you want to restore individual files, you cannot restore that type of user files because you are using them. Instead, you can restore individual files in your user folders. Read > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1427
