When I burn a playlist, it burns it, but when I check the disc, it is blank. Why?
I just downloaded the newest version of iTunes. I bought 10 songs, put them in a playlist and proceeded to burn the list. It goes through the whole process and says it is writing and finishing it.
However, there is nothing written. The disc remains blank! I have lost 6 hours today trying to burn my music any way possible. Help!
Could you post your diagnostics for us please?
In iTunes, go "Help > Run Diagnostics". Uncheck the boxes other than DVD/CD tests, as per the following screenshot:
... and click "Next".
When you get through to the final screen:
... click the "Copy to Clipboard" button and paste the diagnostics into a reply here.

I am trying to sync a playlist to my Nano, but when I click on the Music tab at the top,
it will not allow me to select the option Selected Playlist, Artists, etc. I cannot un-check the Entire Music library
option and check the Selected Artist … one.
I have changed the Sync option to Manually sync, but that does not help.
How can I change this to the second option?
Thanks.There is a checkbox above those two options for how to sync. It says Sync Music; it enables automatic syncing. That box needs to be checked before you can select from the two options for how automatic syncing is performed.
NOTE: If the iPod is current set up to Manually manage music [and videos], checking that Sync Music box replaces its current content with content from your iTunes library, based on how automatic syncing is set up on that screen.
So, if your goal is to add ONE playlist to an iPod that is managed manually, you do not want to do this because iTunes will erase the iPod's current content and replace it with just that ONE selected playlist (and whatever else you select on that Music settings screen).
Instead, if the iPod currently uses the manual setting, you need to add playlists manually to the iPod (not use the automatic syncing setting). Please post back with more details about your situation. -
I'm having trouble adding "spoken word" CDs that are in a set to my library. When some of the discs have "gracenotes" info the album gets broken up as if each cd was a separate album. I haven't been able to figure out how to have all the cds in the set appear as one album. I have entered each one in the "get info" page as "1 of 7" and "2 of 7" etc, but the ones with gracenote info get put into a separate album. It's frustrating so far! Also, when I want copy an album to the burn folder so i can share it with a friend, it moves the songs as songs, not as albums. Any way around this? Thanks very much!

I have one apple ID for both my Iphone 4S and Ipad. My Ipad was stolen from me and when I checked the iCloud, it can only locate the Iphone 4S. How can I locate the Ipad device?
Welcome to the Apple Community.
You can only locate your device when it is logged into iCloud and 'Find My Phone' is enabled, additionally the device will need to be switched on and connected to a wifi or cellular network.
Unfortunately, you cannot activate iCloud or 'Find My Phone' remotely. -
I work in an international company and we have a server farm with 54 servers, so I need check content in all of them for 118 countries, I created a little application to do this and the problem is this:
When I check the url in the main window I get: "Error: ssl_error_bad_cert_domain" but there is "add exception" option and the problem ends there. But my application loads the pages within an iframe and when I try to load them the error appears but there is not any option to continue.
Could you tell me please which option of the configuration (about:config) I should change to avoid this, because adding an certificate for every country for every server (6372 certificates) it's not an option for me.
*Note: The error appears because the dns of such servers have several subdomains and the certificate is not valid for the resultant url.Facebook uses such servers to store additional content media files and maybe CSS and JavaScript files.
Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache.

*Press "Cmd + Shift + R" (MAC)
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

I am trying to move my itunes library from my old pc to my new imac, home sharing is on and I can see the shared library. My problem is that when I check the shared library to import it to my imac I cannot import it. Can anyone help me?
You need to transfer the iTunes Library from the most recent backup you made before the hard drive was replaced.
You can't transfer the full iTunes Library from the iPad back to iTunes.
There are third-party Windows applications that will transfer data from an iOS device, but they don't re-create the iTunes Library exactly as it was before. -
I just upgraded to Yosemite. Now when I try to open one particular document in Excel, I get a message that there's not enough memory. I can open other documents. The document I can't get to is the spreadsheet of my passwords. Go figure. When I check the storage under "about this Mac" it says I have 150 GB of 249 GB. I have a MacBook Air. Help please. I ordered the full creative cloud on sunday and received an order number but still can't open any of the programs. When i check the status of my order online, it says it can't find it. Is this normal after 3 days? I tried asking in a chat window instead of the forum but no one answered and after about ten minutes my screen restarted and closed the chat window down. It seems a little frustrating not knowing what happened to my order and not being able to contact anyone. Is all this usual with Adobe or are they just having technical problems this week?

Hi. I'm in a situation here and would really welcome some guidance. I dragged my ext. HD iTunes backed up folder into my new mac. Now there are duplicates of every song. Both versions seem to actually BE there when I check the info. So, I moved what I thought were duplicates into the trash from iTunes, and resigned myself to the fact that I would have to do this manually for each album. I did this with about 10 albums. I emptied the trash and lost them even though they still LOOKED like they were in iTunes. I repeated the process tonight on a bunch of other albums not realizing yet that I had screwed up terribly the first time. This time I saw what had happened and pulled the files out of the trash, onto my desktop and dragged them back into iTunes, then deleted the duplicate files that had exclamation points next to them. Now I have no idea if iTunes is playing duplicate files from the trash or not, and am nervous about emptying the trash. Anyone dealt with this before? Thank you

I have my iphone4 activated and working since 3days, i purchased it from ebay with 1year warranty, when i check the serial number from Apple store at Bangalore Forum mall, they say that it does not show anything and 'OUT OF WARRANTY'.
Now i have a problem in it, all icons just shake and system hangs, needs restarting.You need to go back to the person you bought it from. Sounds like they may have sold you phone that is not as described.

When I check the link all that shows is http// and nothing else. It does this repeatedly. I am using Outlook for Windows 8.1. I haven't tried any other embedded e-mail links to see if this is a universal problem or just isolated to this particular e-mail.

When I try to sign into iCloud from Windows PC I get the message "You can't sign in because of a server error." When I check the iCloud status, all is Green. What is the fix?

Videos I burnt to disc on my pc won't play on my macbook, when I insert the disc into the macbook it says it's blank but plays fine on the pc, does anyone know how to fix this? The photo's I burnt on the exact same type of disc work fine in both pc and macbook but the videos will only play on the pc.
If you are trying to play these on quicktime then what video format are those videos?
Wmp's? You need to install Flip4Mac.
Most other formats? Install Perian.
Or just use vlc instead. It's a much better, more powerful, and more general video player. -
I plugged my new iPhone into iTunes but my wife was still logged in, now when I try and download or purchase anything it comes up with my wife's ID even though when I check the apple ID on the phone it is my ID, how do I correct this.
I recently had a 32gb iphone 4 I backed up the phone via cable to my pc and when I tried to sync the 16gb iphone 5 no apps synced and some other data as well there was an error message saying there is not enough room. there is plenty of room on the new phone for apps, is there any way i can access the photos and apps that are on my pc? I am mainly concerned about my photos. Do I have to buy a 32gb phone now?
