I understand that your App Store does not show your app updates. Please follow the steps below to help resolve the issue.
1. Close All Apps on iPad: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5137
2. Sign out of iTunes & App Stores: Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Tap AppleID > Sign out
3. Reset All Settings: Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
4. Reboot iPad
5. Sign back into iTunes and App Stores: Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Sign In with AppleID

I am getting an error when trying to download the new Game of Thrones shows. The error is err = -61 You do not have the privilege to make changes. (err = -61) you do not have the privilege to make changes. I have not had this problem before
Solution:
Open Disk Utility.
Select your external hard disk and run a “verify” on it. After a few minutes (depending on the size of your drive), you should be good to go. You don’t need to run a “repair” on it... (at least I didn’t have to). See photo for reference.
This should fix the permissions issue, because on my Mac running Mountain Lion I was unable to edit the permissions in the get info dialog window even after "unlocking" the drive. -
It won't let me drag an effect from the browser all of a sudden. I have always been able to do before. I am using effects from favorites bin and when I try to drag it to the timeline, it won't move. I have never had this problem before. Please help.
P.S. I have tried other effects including transitions and it still won't let me drag.Wow that was really quick, thank you so much. Im not sure at all which version it was because i said it was around 4 years ago he bought it. I know it isn't under his username, since he's a PC person (ugh) so i know its probably registered to one of our actual names. isn't there some way to look it up since we did register it, because I'm not even sure where the disks are from when we bought it (we've moved a lot and also have two storage lockers, i know i would have kept it with other disks) but my cd rom drive is actually broken on my computer as well ( i think it got stepped on and is now squished and won't eject or run disks.)
So is there anyway they can look up that its registered to one of our names since we did register it when we bought and installed it, or do i really have to find the disk with some sort of proof of purchase (i know there would be no receipt after all this time)

I have never had this problem before. I have moved closer to the router and it still does it.
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are drooping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app
• Tap on Wi-Fi

• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

I am using Windows XP and just installed Elements 12. When I try to select a different brush or shape the drop down list will not stay open long enough to select a different item. I have used Elements 9 for awhile and have not had this problem

2. Delete Settings File

When I go into app store on iPod touch and click on an app i get can't connect to iTunes
I noticed it on jan 1 but was working fine on dec28 when I bought it. All I have done is download apps I had previously purchased on my old 3G iPod 32gb touch To my 5g 32gb iPod touch using purchases on the update part of app store. Please help me do I need to return it or can I fix it. Like I said everything else is working fine i just can't view app pages to tell how big an app is or anything about the apps.
Mine had a SIM in it. Originally, when I took out the SIM and tried to restore it with nothing in it, it wouldn't work without a SIM card. So ... I took the SIM that was in that phone previously, put it back in and completed the system restore. I then proceeded to go through the process with AT&T of adding a data plan, which I did, and then it successfully completed the system restore. However, now if I run diagnostics on it, it will not verify ITunes Store. If I try to connect to ITunes store, I'll get the network connection timed out error I referenced earlier in this thread. I'm considering jailbreaking it and putting on an earlier software version. Your thoughts?

It seems you are unable to post photos using the Facebook app on your iPad. Have you checked your photo privacy settings at any point? Take a look at the following article which explains the privacy controls, and where you can find them:

My friend used my ipad2 to log into her App Store and now I cannot get her information off mine. It keeps coming up as her and my apps are in limbo rendering them useless. I have rebooted as well as log into iTunes to manage my account. None of this helped. I don't know what to do. Can anyone help?

It seems when the photo is sent to someone it is received in a sideways position. I have resent after editing and rotating the picture but is still is not upright.

Thanks. MIn my case I take HD video with an Apple iPhone 4S and an iPad 2. These cameras can be just as easily oriented in any of four orientations by hand, or in various iPhone or iPad holders for mounting on a tripod. As long as I stay with Apple or Adobe products for my whole video handling process, I have no problem with software support for orientation
While there are countless software programs available today that display JPEG images, only a subset of them actually interpret the EXIF Orientation flag. Just like color management, many programs simply display the JPEG image as it is stored, and completely ignore any extra details stored in the file's metadata. The most important of these additional details is the Orientation flag, stored in the JPEG APP1 marker under EXIF IFD0.

Briefly, Apple is doing it right, with their iPhone 4S and iPad 2, the way most High end video cameras do it. And they made sure that their apps looked at the appropriate flag to rotate the image before showing it. To understand this look at this site:

This is a site that explains the whole deal. Apple and Adobe are looking at the flags for image rotation. Plex,and many others are not doing so. VLC for instance, DropBox is anpther example, Thunderbird is another example, the list is long.
Many newer digital cameras (both dSLR and Point & Shoot digicams) have a built-in orientation sensor. Virtually all Canon andNikon digital cameras have an orientation sensor. The output of this sensor is used to set the EXIF orientation flag in the image file's metatdata to reflect the positioning of the camera with respect to the ground. Canon calls their sensor the "Intelligent Orientation" sensor. It is presumably a 2-axis tilt sensor, allowing 4 possible orientations to be detected. Auto-rotation in Digital Cameras
While your digital camera may include an option to "auto-rotate images" due to the camera's orientation, this is almost always just a "virtual rotation". A flag is set to indicate to the viewing software / LCD preview which way to rotate the image before display, rather than rotating the image content itself.
As lossless image rotation is a fairly compute-intensive operation, digital cameras are not likely to include true lossless rotation after capturing the photo. The CCD/CMOS sensor hardware is designed to stream raw data in a particular direction (e.g. rows then columns), and so it may be hard to incorporate true auto-rotation in-camera without a performance impact to continuous shooting (frames per second). -
When I click on the icon for firefox, a little toolbar (the one you see in the top right corner of the screen) pops up and nothing else happens. I'll close it out and retry, with only the same results. I tried Firefox safemode, with the same result. Like there is something blocking me, but I don't know what. It doesn't matter if I've been on the computer for some time or just started up, I cannot access the web thru Firefox. This has only started in the last couple days. Previously, I've never had this problem. I haven't loaded any new programs anytime recently to account for this. I use Norton for my anti virus program which is the newest and had since end of December. I am not happy having to use the windows internet explorer, so would be very happy to get this resolved. Should I uninstall the mozilla program, and then reinstall it?

Could not access it because their network security blocked you by intent, or had some unknown technical difficulty?
Unless you are blocked by intent or ommission (if they have to explicitly allow your machine) I can think of no technical reason why your wired connection should not both get you on their network and on the internet in general. You should not need to be dual homed (though dual homing should work as well).
Please answer the questions above when you can - I think solving the wired LAN issue will be easier if you are not being intentionally blocked. -
Never had this issues in previous versions. This IS a black/white gradient opacity mask over a black and white photo, but still don't think that is the problem.
