I haven't found this in the Scripting Reference.
In the "Canvas Size…" dialog box you can specify the "Canvas Extension Color" to "Foreground", Background", "White", "Black", "Grey" or "Other…".
Can this be scripted?
I am writing an AppleScript to resize my canvas in order to add a slug to the bottom of the image. Currently my script stores the background color, so I can change it to White to accomplish my goal without discarding the background color (which gets restores at the end of the script). The problem is that if the user has a custom color (i.e. Pantone color) as the background color, the color does not get stored.See if this works for you… Just some very basic AppleScript with a call to 'do javascript' in this case the variable 'Solid_Fill' this is a cleaned up piece of scriptlistener output (done very nicely by X's tools you will see a post below to the latest release of this) The scriptlistener output has been turned into a function that javascript can call. Inside of the function call I have put a list arguments passed from AppleScript. So the values 0, 0, 0, 0 in the AppleScript list end up as arguments passed to the functions C, M, Y, K variables. AppleScript objects are 1 based Javascript are 0 based & values the same.

i just downloaded ilife every things working fine except, when i try to open iPhoto it said ''You can't open the application iPhoto because it may be damaged or incomplete. i tried to re-download it but my password didn't work for some reason. HELPPPP!!!
Make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Select the options identified in the screenshot.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

Be sure "Scale:" is set to 100% and the 'Keep apparent font size' item is checked. -

My videos from my iphone are horrible when I transfer them to my PC. How can I improve the video on my PC? Can I just convert the files to WMV? When the video plays the speed is off, it's half slow-motion and staggers into normal play. The clips are slightly cut as well, the clips do not roll continuously. I'm taling about videos that are no more than 2 minutes long. I'm frustrated and I could really use some advice-my kids basketball games is what I'm recording and I'm trying to send them to my family (they are not very tech savvy). Thanks
Not it's only function but one for which it was most admirably suited, which is why I really hope someone can find a work around. I am hoping my post to the Apple feedback may prompt a useful response from Apple and I live in hope that my post here will elicit a useful response from another user. I did not miss the the text at the top of the feedback form but you presumably missed my initial text, 'someone here can explain' or my subsequent 'work around from another user'
Just in case anyone reading this has a large collection of music videos, video podcasts or iTunes U then DO NOT upgrade your iPad to iOS 5. If you are considering purchasing the iPad as a useful mobile device to experience these media organised in your iTunes please don't as you will be wasting your money. (unless someone on this forum knows of a way to undo the mess created by those infallible folks at Apple)

The font color has always been black and the tabs in color, but now when I choose a different Personna, the font fades and/or turns white, sometimes fuzzy. This has never happened before. I even uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox. Please help.

How should I tag content created in a master page when addressing accessibility before exporting to Acrobat? I can't add the content to the articles panel because it's locked. I would also like to know how I should tag my cove content. I don't want the reader to get lost in content other than the body of the report, but I also don't want to ignore some content completely by tagging it as artifacts. What should I do y'all?

From the screen shots it looks like your script is not formatted properly (you may refer to 'Paladin Script' in 'Sample Project' to get an idea of how the script should be formatted.).
Further please follow the steps mentioned below to use Story to PP workflow.
Create a new Film script in Adobe Story
Create scene heading – INT. LOCATION – Day (these will show up in the outline view panel on left hand side)
Hit enter, hit TAB
Enter the name of the speaker, hit TAB or ENTER
Copy over the transcribed text
Build your script this way
Number scenes from the production menu
Export ASTX file for your script : File->Export->.astx
Open Premiere Pro
Create a new project, bring in media
In the project pane, find the "Scene" column
For the clip that contains the spoken text, assign the same scene number to the clip as you have in the story script (lets say both are scene 1)
Click out of the scene box in the project panel in Ppro
Right click on the scene that you just assigned a scene number to and select – attach Story script
Select the .astx fle you exported in step 8
Click ok
You should now see the script data in the metadata panel for the clip in the metadata panel.
You can now run speech to text based on "Embedded Script metadata" to time align spoken word to the script.

In Dreamweaver 6, I created a new fluid layout. I set up (4) DIVs. In the 3rd div, I changed the font color. The new color shows up on the website when viewed in my computer desktop, but, when viewed in a tablet and a cell phone, the color of the font does not change. It's the same in Dreamweaver's Live view. It shows the new color on Desktop view and not in the cell phone or tablet view. Also, I changed the font itself in one of the DIVs and it shows up in the new font on the desktop view and website viewed thru the computer, but, not on the tablet or cell phone. Can someone please explain. I want to be able to change the fonts and colors for viewing in the tablet and cell phone, also. The fonts were all standard fonts. Sans-erif and Verdana and Arial were tried. Thanks.

On Windows when composing an email, I would often highlight a word or sentence in yellow. I don't seem to have this option on my Mac Book Air toolbar as I did when I had on my laptop. How can I add this feature to my toolbar? I don't want to change the font color, just want to highlight a word within the email.

You may or may not be able to do this based on which e-mail client or webmail platform you're using. In your email options, you'll want to have the option to paste it as rich-text or HTML. If you only have the option for plain text then you're out of luck. -
How can I adjust the font size, etc., when completing a PDF form in Preview?
I would like to use Preview to fill-out or complete a PDF form. The default font that Preview uses when I begin typing in a field is too large. How can I adjust the font size. And while I'm asking, can I also adjust the font color, weight, emphasis, etc.?
Whilst in the Preview application, press "Shift - Command - A" (⇧⌘A) simultaneously to show the markup toolbar, or click View, and select "show markup toolbar". There is an icon "A" near the right hand side of the now visible markup toolbar, click this icon to reveal all the font options.

To use images from the media browser, you must generate previews of the images first. It sounds like the "automatically generate previews for every new project" is turned off under Aperture >Preferences>Previews. To generate a preview for a photo to use in the media browser, right click it and select "update preview". The quality of the preview photo is determined by the settings in the Previews tab found under the Aperture>Preferences menu.

To take a screenshot of the zoomed photo, press either the key combination
⇧⌘3 for a screenshot of the full screen, or
⇧⌘4 to bring up a selection rectangle: select the section of the screen, that you want to save.
The screenshots will be sent to your desktop; drag them from there to the iPhoto icon in the Dock to import them.
