Maybe the are shorted by a faulty display cable? Do you see the same error on an external attached Monitor/TV/Beamer?

I don't think there is an option for logging off in the Hot Corners, but check Mission Control System Prefs, Hot Corners button. What is set in the top, left.

1) Make sure that your project is in the same aspect ratio as your camera. If your camera shoots 16:9. make a 16:9 project.
2) Check the clip inspector for the clip in your project to see if Image Stabilization is turned on. Stabilization works by zooming in, so you may want to turn it off. -
When i turn my computer ON the grey start up screen looks corrupted
Corrupted might be an overstatement, but when i turn my computer on the grey start up screen with the white apple logo and the loading bar appears at an inferior resolution than the screen, and it's not even well proportioned because there's a black bar on each side. I have no idea why this happens or if it's even normal, mostly because i'm a recent mac user. I have a non-retina mid 2012 15" macbook pro, 1440x900 screen.
i've also been having problems with the wi-fi connectivity. it looses connection more often than i would like, and sometimes i have a "Connection Timeout Occured", i have no idea why, but i've seen people complaining about it.
thanksYour GPU could just be 'hiccupping' on start-up - if I were you, and since you're still under warranty, I would take the machine to your local Apple Store and have them run diagnostics to see if there's really anything wrong with the GPU.
As to your wireless problems - so many things to trace down. Start by running the "Wi-Fi Diagnostics.app" found in System>Library>Core Services and see what those reports show. It could be anything at this point.

Hi, I have adjusted my settings so my screen goes to sleep after 5 minutes which is ok. But it also does this when viewing movies in full screen mode.... Is this a setting somewhere? Thanx!

"When the computer is inactive" or "idle" means when YOU, the user, are doing nothing, neither using the keyboard nor the mouse. So you have to increase that 5 mins in Energy Saver.

I just got an iPod touch. Now I cannot access my music on my Nano when it is connected to my computer (all the titles are in gray). How do I fix this?
That sounds like you've engaged one of the automatic syncing options for your nano.
Plug the nano in, and go into the Device screen for the nano in itunes. Is "manually manage ..." unchecked? If so, check the box for it, and click okay. Disconnect and reconnect the nano. Is the content on the nano able to be selected in your iTunes now? -
W64, cs6 bridge when I move or copy files the context menu does not retain recent folder destinations after I close the program. The context options that show are the ones from original install. The workspace I set up is also gone. I have every explorer box and cleaner checked to save recent. Had to disable nivedia desktop software because of weird display conflict. Have Dell pro support and they cannot fix. Any ideas to help me with this would be appreciated.
Self-solved! I work in column view in Finder so get there in a Finder window with folders and files appearing.
There really is no problem, just select an ITEM in the COLUMN before right-clicking!
The "old" context menu will appear. If you click in the white space in that column (or anywhere in a Finder window) and then place the cursor over a folder or file WITHOUT selecting it and right-click you will bring up the secondary context menu - Open, Copy, Duplicate, View Options and a greyed out Labels option. No "Move to Trash". -
Worst update ever! On my Vista everything is wrong! Back button never active; If I want open pages as new tab it opens new window; FF starts with blank page instead of Google; No url address shown on status bar when I move mouse arrow on the link etc.. Please Help!

Go to the Finder - click anywhere on your Mac's desktop, and choose File > New Folder.
If a folder appears on your Desktop then you can ignore the reference to the house icon.

How do I download previously purchased albums from iTunes when the album has either disappeared from my computer or the tunes are not playable? When you download something from the iCloud, it is a brand new licensed copy. Your iCloud account just contains a notation that you have this app. It isn't storing an actual copy of the app from your Mac.

I took the iPod to the local Apple shop. The guy put the iPod onto a docking station and checked it - answer "connections are OK". I have used the link before but have not gone through all its suggestions (although picked on the most relevant ones). I may have to go back. Thanks again for your suggestions
