When I press mute, it silences the incoming voice!

Hi all,
Strange one here. I have a 2811 running CCME that uses SIPGATE for most of my calls.
When I hit the "MUTE" button on my 7960 to prevent people hearing me tapping away at my keyboard, after about 20 seconds, the other end of the phone goes silent in my ear. I hit the "MUTE" button again to unmute and the other end comes back again - i.e. I can hear them talking.
If I make the same call going out via my PSTN dial-peer, I have no such problems... MUTE works as it should.
I've looked at VAD/no VAD, but unsure if I am in the right area.

VAD is a good place to start looking. Do you have no VAD on your VoIP dial-peers? And have you double checked that you are not using the default dial-peer 0 for incoming calls? I ask because you cannot see it in configuration, and it uses VAD.
The next thing you should do is a debug ccsip messages on the CME to see if something changes mid call. E.g., A RE-INVITE marking the media as 0.0.0.0 (inactive).
Then, regardless of the above outcome, you should do a packet capture on your CME to see if the telco (SIPGATE) stops sending you RTP, or if the RTP continues to come in to CME.
Here's the commands to do a simple capture on your CME, you would need an FTP server to transfer the file off, and WireShark to look at it.
! Create a capture buffer (uses all the defaults except for the size of the packet)monitor capture buffer testbuffer max-size 1024! Create a capture point (only traffic egressing the F0/0 int)monitor capture point ip cef testpoint FastEthernet 0/0 out! Capture a bit of audio prior to the event, then wait for the silence to happen, then resume the mute, and capture a bit more! Stop the live capturemonitor capture point stop testpoint! Export the capturemonitor capture buffer testbuffer export ftp://:@/tescapture.pcap
Change the Interface to your specific interface and the parameters in the brackets <> to your own values.

If Safari crashes on launch and you don't have another web browser, you should be able to launch Safari by starting up in safe mode.
You may have installed the "Genieo" or "InstallMac" ad-injection malware. Follow the instructions on this Apple Support page to remove it.
Back up all data before making any changes.
Besides the files listed in the linked support article, you may also need to remove this file in the same way:
~/Library/LaunchAgents/com.genieo.completer.ltvbit.plist
If there are other items with a name that includes "Genieo" or "genieo" alongside any of those you find, remove them as well.
One of the steps in the article is to remove malicious Safari extensions. Do the equivalent in the Chrome and Firefox browsers, if you use either of those.
After removing the malware, remember to reset your home page in all the web browsers affected, if it was changed.
If you don't find any of the files or extensions listed, or if removing them doesn't stop the ad injection, then you may have one of the other kinds of adware covered by the support article. Follow the rest of the instructions in the article.
Make sure you don't repeat the mistake that led you to install the malware. Chances are you got it from an Internet cesspit such as "Softonic" or "CNET Download." Never visit either of those sites again. You might also have downloaded it from an ad in a page on some other site. The ad would probably have included a large green button labeled "Download" or "Download Now" in white letters. The button is designed to confuse people who intend to download something else on the same page. If you ever download a file that isn't obviously what you expected, delete it immediately.
In the Security & Privacy pane of System Preferences, select the General tab. The radio button marked Anywhere should not be selected. If it is, click the lock icon to unlock the settings, then select one of the other buttons. After that, don't ignore a warning that you are about to run or install an application from an unknown developer.
Still in System Preferences, open the App Store or Software Update pane and check the box marked
Install system data files and security updates (OS X 10.10 or later)
or
Download updates automatically (OS X 10.9 or earlier)
if it's not already checked.

You do NOT have duplicates. This is how Apple handles photos.
Just as a song is in your Itunes Library and that exact same song can be accessed from a playlist, all synced photos are in the Photo Library and those exact same photos can be accessed from the album.

When i press Tab button on the keyboard the cursor don't move to the next password control. i have simple login dialog in web ui builder.
When i run the vix i need to press two times Tab to move from username string control to the next password "password control" my Tab index for the username
control is "1" and for the password is "2' and i try to use all of the 3 options for TabNavigation Local, Cycle and Once and noone work.

I connect my iphone 4 to my itunes and when I press update to get the new iOS 7 software, it says "This version of iTunes (10.6.3) is the current version" and it tells me to press ok. Why is my phone not updating??

My phone says it is connected to itunes and beside the update button it says "a newer version of iphone software is available (version 7.0)...." but when I press 'update' a box pops up that says ""This version of iTunes (10.6.3) is the current version" and then I press okay and nothing else happens. I'm getting frustrated. if anyone can explain to me why I can't update please tell me! Or else I'll have to call up Apple I guess.

For example when I work in Nuke, and press "option" (for navigation), after I will release the "option", selected node will be duplicated.
The same issue, but with copying happens when I'm working in blender and hold the "option" to navigate - I see the message "copied selected objects to buffer".
Maybe it's some additions to the finder, which I could set a long time ago? In any case, how to fix it?

You're not looking in your trash can. And if you've emptied your trash can, the message is gone.
To open your trash, you have inboxes on the top, and accounts below. Tap the mail from the accounts. That's where your trash can is. Tap it. If the mail is not permanently deleted it will be in the trash.

I found the following troubleshooting steps for when your touchscreen is giving you issues:
Restart your device
Hold the On/Off button until "slide to power off" appears. Slide to power off your device. When it is off, press the On/Off button to turn it back on.
If you can't restart your device, reset it by pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for a least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Clean the screen with a soft, slightly damp, lint-free cloth.
Avoid using the device while wearing gloves, with wet hands, or immediately after applying hand lotion.
If you have a protective case, or if you are using a plastic sheet or film on the display, try removing them and testing the device without it.
If the steps above don't resolve your issue, please schedule a service appointment with an Apple Retail Store for evaluation. If an Apple Retail store is not an option, contact Apple to find out your best service option or see theService FAQ for your product.

Try to Reset your device.
Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears (ignore the Slide to Power Off that shows up first).

This has only just happened and it is not always the same letter. The letter on the keyboard changes from time to time. Sometimes the keyboard is unresponsive like when I want to add numbers. I will press "s" and 5 or 6 "s" will appear on the screen.

You could try it again, and you could also try closing all apps via the taskbar and see if that makes any difference : from the home screen (i.e. not with any app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of each app to close them, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.

How can I setup a macro that types a special character when I press a key on the keyboard?

I have an aplication where I am unable to insert a tilde (~) by pressing alt+Ñ. (I have a spanish keyboard) The only way this app lets my input a tilde, is by copying and pasting it in, which is extremely annoying and time consuming.
Is there any way I can setup a script in Automator, or by any other means, that will automatically insert a tilde whenever I press a single key, such as a Function key? Or maybe I can make it so that whenever I type 'tilde' it will replace that with ~ ? I already tried using a keyboard shortcut (below) but it did not work.

In order to achieve this, please use the Slideshow widget in which Thumbnails are not shown.
And enable to "Next" button in the widget. Now expand that Next button container to cover the target image area.
Now when you click on the image, it will click the Next button container and it will move to the next image.

Hey Cece rawr, not sure I'm understanding you. If sound only works when headphones plugged in. Would indicate the switch inside the headphone port is stuck open. Look inside the port make sure it is free of foreign debris, like lint, dirt etc. if something is there, remove it. If port is clear, try quickly plugging / unplugging the headphone jack about 10 to 12 times to free the switch. May need to repeat this action. If sound is working OK through the speaker but intermittent with your headphones, would indicate a short in the headphones, try another pair of headphones with iPod and just to rule it out try the questionable headphones with a device known to work, does the problem move with headphones, if it does then it's the headphones, replace them. If the problem stays with the iPod, try resetting, press and hold both power and home buttons together, until the Apple logo appears, about 15 seconds+/-, then release both buttons. Or Go into Settings>General>Reset and tap Reset All Settings. If still not working, Connect to your computer, make backup copies of your stuff on your iPod to your computer first, then Restore to Backup. If still no joy, Restore to New. If still not working after restoring to factory settings then contact Apple and have your iPod evaluated for a hardware issue. Good luck, Cheers.
