When I print to pdf on Mac, the first page comes out fine but all the rest are magnified and shifted up and right

I click File>Print. Whether I open pdf in Preview, save to pdf, or just print, I get this error. The first page is fine, but all the rest are shifted up and to the right and magnified.
I've never been able to print out a multi-page document on Firefox with my new computer. I can copy/paste the address to Safari (gross) and it prints just fine, either to pdf or to a hard copy.
Save me from having to use Safari!

Making sure the fonts were embedded helped some, but it's still hit and miss. Sometimes I'm still missing pieces. One workaround I have found that works is just print one page without security to PDF, and then go back and replace the bad page(s) with them. So it will print properly, just not all the time. I have a copy of a word page and then what acrobat did to it. I just need to figure out how to post it here.

I would say all types. Any kind of document/ file that has multiple pages, I can't get to the next page.

I try to print a 4 page site at less than 100% the first page comes out right and the others revert to 100%. How can I change this?

I am working on an iMac, OS10.6.8.
There is a certain web form that I must fill out regularly. It is long and consists of several pages. I wish to keep either a PDF or printed copy of my completed forms. I change the percentage in Page Setup and when I go to print or make the PDF the pages after page 1 revert to 100% and copy is omitted between pages 1 and 2.

You may have to crop pages to get the effect that you want. If you have the original, it would probably be easier to edit that and create a new PDF.

My experience is with the iPhone 4S and the "new" iPad, both of which I ordered early on the opening pre-order day. In both cases the wording from Apple during the media event was "pre-orders will start on ABC date for delivery on XYZ date" which was also the same day they were to go on sale in stores. In both cases, the UPS truck rolled up earlier than usual XYZ date as promised to hand me my new iPhone/iPad. In both cases there were instances of confusion due to some pre-order confirmations stating incorrectly "SCHEDULED SHIPPING DATE: XYZ". In both cases that caused much fear, panick, and trepidation that fed upon itself as it permeated a widely scattered forum linked community of "adults" that seem to collectively revert to a state of childish impatience and ultimately child-like glee as they obsessively refresh their dedicated tracking browser window; become convinced that there is no hope of escaping the dread delayed shippment, and then finally receive their new toy exactly when they were supposed to. Not that I personally would ever succumb to that of course. Er uhm ... it's just what I've seen you know .. nothing I can really relate to.

I'm using FF for Mac 3.6.13 and everytime I open a new window or tab the image of what I see is tiny which requires me to click Command + to enlarge it. The actual page is normal size, but its the image of the page that opens tiny.

Thanks but Command 0 on a Mac only makes a temporary change to that one page. The link you provided doesn't show how to make a permanent change. Do you know how to permanently change this so I don't have to do it to every new page?

You can have a different receiving email in the Messages app on each device : Settings > Messages > Receive At . I'm not sure that there is a different way to have the message only go to one device.

Hi KiltedTim, as a newbie to Apple, iphones and forums I would appreciate an explanation of the 'Trolls and Mods' comments on your posting. I presume the Mods are Apple sentinels but am I really a Troll just because I made a criticism of the new iOS version (even though I did not know I was actually doing that). Am I a Troll to you because you personally disapprove of criticism of the new iOS or is Troll used by the community to describe anyone who speaks up if they are not happy about a change. Please understand that by asking these questions it is not my intention to be confrontational (I’ve been called far worse than a Troll over the years) but as I’m new to the group an insight into the politics may be beneficial. Only the first page of a document shows in the iphone app

The Creative Cloud shows the documents I've saved, but when I open them, I can only look at the first page. If I scroll down, there's nothing more there. If I scroll left/right, it moves between documents. I'm probably missing something very basic, but I have no idea what it could be!

That page doesn't use "Frames". As that page stands, you need to print that page in a different browser - Firefox just can't handle it like any other browser can.
That page suffers from a long standing printing Bug in Firefox, which is related to a DIV extending beyond the end of a "page". My opinion is that a "Printer Ready" stylesheet is the proper way of handing something like a schedule which viewers of that page might want to print. IMO, there is no need for printing the left-hand navigation link section, the "Student Affairs" section, the page header, and the page footer - pure waste of ink or toner and paper. Elimination of those items with the Print Edit extension as I did and that page printed the relevant "PARENTS’ SCHEDULE OF ACTIVITIES" information on that page completely.

When I email from iPhoto, separate emails with a photo on each, the email received on an iPad shows the first picture opened is shown in all the other emails.

When I email from iPhoto separate emails with a different photo on each, the email on my iPad opens each photo attachment as the same photo sent on the first email. This only happens when I use iPhoto to email. My daugther was sending pictures this way and at first it worked but now it does this same thing. Any suggestions?

First try this: make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and do the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home()/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.

3 - launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
Second, if the above fails launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library. Import some photos and check to see if the problem persists.

When I open a new link and then switch back to the original page why does it go all the way back to the top of page?

Scroll to the middle or bottom of a page with many links (like ebay) then close the link and when it returns to original page you are sent all the way back to the top of the page, why does it not switch back to the area of the page I was originally viewing?

Tools > Options > Applications
Enter JPEG into the search box and change any that say "Save file" to "Always ask".
Does it work?
Edit: Forgot one other relevant setting. On:
Tools > Options >General tab
pick "Always ask me where to save files"

My new mac did not come with iWeb but all the other iLife programs. Why not?

Is there anyone who knows why I don't have iWeb on my new computer? Have they taken it of? I read somewhere that there stoping mobilme next year and wounder if that is the reason but then you can use it without mobilme so I don't understand why I have everthing else form iLife but not this...

It is now confirmed that iWeb, and iDVD, has been discontinued by Apple. This is evidenced by the fact that new Macs are shipping with iLife 11 installed but without iWeb and iDVD.
On June 30, 2012 MobileMe will be shutdown. However, iWeb will still continue to work but without the following:
Features No Longer Available Once MobileMe is Discontinued:
◼ Password protection
◼ Blog and photo comments
◼ Blog search
◼ Hit counter
◼ MobileMe Gallery
All of these features can be replaced with 3rd party options.
I found that if I published my site to a folder on my hard drive and then uploaded with a 3rd party FTP client subscriptions to slideshows and the RSS feed were broken. If I published directly from iWeb to the FPT server those two features continued to work correctly.
There's another problem and that's with iWeb's popup slideshows. Once the MMe servers are no longer online the popup slideshow buttons will not display their images.

However, Roddy McKay and I have figured out a way to modify existing sites with those slideshows and iWeb itself so that those images will display as expected once MobileMe servers are gone. How to is described in this tutorial: #26 - How to Modify iWeb So Popup Slideshows Will Work After MobileMe is Discontinued.
It now appears that the iLife suite of applications offered on disc is now a discontinued product and the remaining supported iApps will only be available thru the App Store from now on. However, the iLife 11 boxed version that is still available at the online Apple Store (Store button at the top of the page) and those still on the shelves of retailers will include iWeb and iDVD. Those two apps were listed in small, gray text on the iLife 11 box that I bought.
Personally, if I didn't already have a copy I would purchase one to have it for reinstallation purposes if ever needed.

How do I add a section in the latest pages with out it appending to the end of the document

Hello to all. I'm trying to figure out how to add a section between pages 14 and 15 in my document, but when I do this it adds a section brake between the last page of said document which is around page 31 or so. I want to remove a whole section and this seems to be the only way to do this.
I'm running osx10 Yosemite with pages 5.9. Any help here?

In TestStand 2012, the ReportHeader string no longer contains a <body> tag, so you can directly append the extra HTML to the parameter without needing to do a search and replace. The following expression worked in my case:

Trying to upgrade my i-phone 3 operating system to ios-5. The program seems to download fine, but at the end it says network run time error and then I have to cancel it out and try again. Tried 5 times and I can't upgrade the system. help?

This is asked and answered frequently... a simple search of the forums would have revealed that disabling any Anti-Virus and Firewall software on the computer prior to downloading will rectify the issue.
