When I try to choose a new folder to save a bookmark the resulting pop-up window only shows the top lefthand quarter minus any buttons, FF4 in Ubuntu Lucid
When bookmarking a page, I click on the star or the menu. The 'Edit This Bookmark' window appears, I click on the folder arrow and select 'Choose'. The resulting window shows a large black shadow with the top left of the actual window. If I run the cursor across the black shadow various parts of the missing window appear and I can complete the operation, but it obviously sould not be doing this. I am using FF4.01 in Ubuntu 10.4 Lucid. I have taken a screenshot if you need it.
You can check for problems with the <b>places.sqlite</b> database file in the Firefox profile folder.

I don't know what I downloaded that caused the problem, but now when I try to make a new folder on the desktop of my new Windows 7 computer, I have only the following choices: Shortcut, Bitmap Image, Contact, Microsoft Word Document, Journal Document, Microsoft Powerpoint Presentation, Text Document, Microsoft Excel Worksheet, and Briefcase. No new folder choice. Anyone have any ideas how I can correct the problem?

This is not correct solution. I have fresh/new copy of Windows 7 64 bit and I have the same problem.
Autorun only shows the Apple Bonjour service. It started when try to sync more than one iphone over WiFi. I have two iphones and an iPad. I turned off syncing over WiFi and still has high CPU utilization. One of the CPU's is pegged at 100%. It is the AppleMobileDeviceService.exe process.For the record, I then followed the suggestion of MarcDCMB in https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4291206 of just manually restarting the Apple Mobile Device service in Windows services.msc once each time after starting iTunes and the service no longer hogs CPU after that service restart. Not too painful as a work-around, and apparently an effective one, but clearly not a solution to the problem. Again, as above, all the other solutions didn't work for me and I have no conflicting software as far as I can tell. So you'd have to say this Apple's problem.
Also FTR, I am still on the 5.2.0.6 version of the Apple Mobile Device Support MSI and I don't know if that is relevant to this work-around working but my sense is that it is NOT relevant. I'll report back on this thread if I re-upgrade and the problem returns in spite of the service-restart approach. -
I have just purchased the iPhone 5s and my previous phone was backed up on iCloud. However when I restored this on my new phone my photos are still being restored after 4 days. Shows the amount there but no pictures? Is there anything I can do to get them back as my other phone has now been cleared. On my iCloud storage it still shows that my previous phone had all the info still?? I'm confused!
Many users have lost photos while preforming a restore from backup or upgrading the iOS. Recall, only photos in the camera roll are backed up to iCloud. There is a way to turn backups for camera roll on/off, perhaps these users had camera roll turned off.

Settings>icloud>Storage & Backups>Manage Storage, tap the device's name and on the next screen, be sure Camera Roll is turned on.
IMPORTANT...
Photos should be regularly synced to a computer (like you store photos from a digital camera) using either USB via iTunes (on a mac use iPhoto or Aperture to move them to an album) or using photo stream. If using Photo stream, but sure to move the received photos to a permanent album. If you have been doing that, then you can sync those photos back to your device.
Or, you can find other apps in the app store that send camera roll photos to a service like Dropbox.
If you haven't been saving photos except relying on iCloud to store them in a backup, then that is risky, as many users have discovered. I'm afraid I have no advice in this case - there is no "cure". -

I want to add a pop up dialog ,using Flex custom UI dialog, when use click "New Folder" in Adobe Bridge ? Then user can input folder name in this dialog.
Or I want to put this way, is there any way to display Flex custom UI dialog and get user's input in my CreateDirectoryHandler implementation?
The Adobe Drive SDK doesn't elaborate clearly about how to interact with custom UI dialog.

When I try to create a new folder I get an error code -50
I am copying files to an external Hard drive. I want to create a new folder on the external and I get an error code of -50 and no folder is created. How do I clear the error code so I can create floders?

The Add-on Manager shows the add-on I downloaded but the drop down menu shows a Firefox Add-on search option.
The search on the search bar that Has as an icon a green jigs-saw piece and the title ''Firefox Add-ons'' is specifically for searching for Firefox addons, as you may have guessed from its name. It is available from the addons pages.
It will take you to pages such as https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox or parts of that site. The page https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/search/?atype=4 is actually many pages with over 3000 items offered.
If with the Firefox dd-ons search engine selected in the search bar you type in IMDb that will give you something like this

*1 including https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/imdb-search-1/?src=search
*# that opens to a page with a download button, labelled [Add to Firefox] once clicked that should download the search engine, and give you an option to install it. Other searches for addons work in a similar way.
That specific option may not be a good choice the add on did not actually work for me.

IMPORTANT once you have use the search remember you may wish to reset it to whatever you use in day today browsing. That may be Google. Note the location bar, and other Firefox searches all use whatever is currently selected in the Search bar.

I'd like to try doing a "Run as administrator" on your iTunes.
Quit iTunes first.
In Computer, open Local Disk C: or whichever drive you have your program files installed on.
If you have a 32-bit Windows, open the "Program files" folder.
If you have a 64-bit Windows, open the "Program Files (x86)" folder.
Open the "iTunes" folder.
Right-click on the iTunes.exe file and select "run as administrator".
Is "Burn Playlist to Disc" showing up in the contextual menu now? -
The history itself is saved. Also, it will let me search my bookmarks without any problems. Does this mean that the "places" folder is damaged? If not, what can i do to fix this problem
To check that you can try if renaming or moving places.sqlite makes it work properly.

Only recently did this issue start.
I have a similar problem; but I think the cause of the "already running" message is that my computer crashed.
I rebooted before I learned to look for the parent lock file, but even when I knew to look for it, I found my original profile folder to be empty.
So I created another profile folder, and FF works, but I cannot access my old profile folder. When I open the location where it should be, nothing's there. But if I go to profile manager, I see my original profile is still there (and it has a location, it's where it should be - and where it's invisible, but even if I type in this location, nothing comes up).
I tried making all folders visible (I run Windows 7), but this did not make my old profile visible.
I want to find it because of the bookmarks I bookmarked recently. -
When I try to setup my new iPad air, I go through all the steps for the iCloud sign-in and choosing security questions and what not. But after I hit the agree to the terms and conditions... It says Apple ID could not be created because of a server error. Have no clue what to do... I've restarted the iPad and get the same message. But my internet works just fine.

I finally got he ipad to sycn photos from computer to ipad- however when I try to download a new album- the old one is deleted and replaced on the ipad- how do I avoid this ?
You can sync multiple folders to the iPad, as long as they are under the same parent folder on your computer so that you can then select and sync them to the iPad together in one go, as only the most recent photo sync remains on the iPad - each folder will get it's own album on the iPad. Not including them in a subsequent sync is how you delete them from the iPad (as you've found out).
