When I turn on Lightroom 5, it gives the message"Lightroom encountered an error when reading from its preview cache and needs to quit."

What is wrong? What should I do?

Using your system browser, open your Lightroom catalog folder. There will be a folder with the extension .lrdata. You need to delete that folder, and then you can start Lightroom again and Lightroom will begin building a new previews folder.
