There is no built in way to do this in iOS. If this trick doesn't work for you, then it can't be done.

check your account settings, possibly under advanced settings.
look for an option to check "remove messages from server" or similar.

Since downloading ios8 I have had a problem with my emails. I had 497 emails but I can't delete them all at once as they are phishing emails. All I get is All mailboxes, but I need another mailbox so I can delete them

I believe scottishroyalty is mistaken. As far as I know there are no contacts stored within iTunes. He must mean that he deleted duplicate contacts within the Contacts app on his computer.
The issue I have with sberman's solution is that after using that method to delete all contacts on your iPhone, when you turn the Contacts switch back to "ON" in your phone's iCloud settings all the old contacts are put back on your phone and you're right back where you started.

How do I delete all my sent emails on IPad 2? I only get 2 options: Flag and Mark as Unread. It doesn't let me Mark All of them.

Have been trying to figure out how to delete all of my sent mail on my IPad 2...it only lets me choose to Flag or Mark as Unread. It will take me hours to go through and check off each one. I have 2 years of emails in my sent folder!

Unfortunately, there is no way to select them all at once to delete them. You do have to select one at a time.

I have taken it back to the Apple store genius bar, but they say they don't see anything wrong. Well unless you use it all day and experience the problems when they happen, you wont see anything wrong. But there are lots wrong with it. But this would be the same store as I purchased the phone. And they backed up my old Iphone 4, but were not able to get anything to load back onto my new phone. So, I lost pretty much everything. Unfortunately, there is no easy way. Delete just as you would any other message that you don't want. It's probably just as well that there is no universal deletion capability. I can see many of us committing a major "oops."

OK....First,you are right, OS 5 has the 11 page limit....you must create folders of Apps until you get below 11 pages of combined folders and apps...NOTE.....the upgrade to OS 5 killed all of my old folders and folder organizations...this may be an issue for all????.....I have over 300 apps so when the old folders went away...I was left with 20 plus pages....only 11 visible....It took me awhile to find out what happened....Since I have 64G it seems that 11 visible pages is a silly limit since the apps are on the machine...

The mailbox behavior says: Drafts (not checked) store draft messages on the server, Notes (checked) show not in Inbox, Sent (checked) Store sent messages on the server Delete sent messages when (option never selected), Junt (not checked) store junk messages on the server Delete junk messages when (option never selected), Trash (checked) moves deleted messages to the Trash mailbox and (checked) store deleted messages on the server Permanently erase deleted messages when (one month old option selected).
I have not set up any rules that I know of other than a signature, in the very least I have not changed any.

You can't. You highlight each one, then hit delete. Once in your trash, you'll have the delete all button.
