I have recently experienced a problem with BT Netprotect Plus.
My PC HUNG and noted that the Mcafee icon in the System Tray had a rotating symbol, which I assumed meant that my PC was being SCANNED.
Wishing to ABORT this I opened the HOME page and found that NOT only was it being Scanned but it was also being Updated.
This situation seem that neither can be done at the SAMETIME.
The only way I found to ABORT this situation was the use of the DREADED Power ON/OFF button. None of the other options seemed to function.
Reporting this to The Support Desk and being told that the person I was speaking to was an EXPERT explained the situation. Eventually after nearly 3½hour later it was decided that the program had to be reinstalled to over come this problem, event though the problem had not appeared.
Poin-tout this would take a while to complete and I did not have time to sit and wait for this to happen The contact was terminated.
I am not an EXPERT in the functionality of PC's of programs, But even to this laymen it seemed that the situation of of Scanning and UPDATING at the same time should not occur.
Has anyone a comment. This is an on going problem. Yet to be resolved

I have set the Power Option to SHUTDOWN when the POWER button is pressed.
When I stated there was NO RESPONSE I meant NO RESPONSE.
Alt-F4, I believe generates the SHUT-DOWN screen. The Windows LOGO selection by the MOUSE, No Response.
KeyBoard Window Key failed to open the START menu to allow SHUTDOWN option.
I did TRY Ctrl-Alt-Del but there was not response.
When I SAID HUNG UP I meant absolutely no response at all.
Returning to the NetProtect Plus options. I set these to my requirements, 'DOWNLOAD and NOTIFY'. I have even change the Mcafee Schedule Scan to non Internet usage time. Not the Mcafee DEFAULT preset times of 0400 Hrs to my own Select time.
These setting have been set, I have received notification that UPDATES are AVAILABLE for me to install while I have been using my PC.
But as yet I have to verify a situation that arose over night, an UPDATE over-rode my CUSTOM option and was AUTOMATICALLY installed. Over writing my selection.

Ipod touch 1G (3.1.3): notes problems+disconnects when i check 'sync notes'

Hi everyone, I got this ipod touch 1G and recently upgraded it to the 3.1.3 firmware. Lovely update to the clock and the calculator, but it screwed my notes!
First thing i noticed was that I couldn't open many of my notes; it returns to the home screen when u tap on a note. The notes that could open, opened up to the wrong note! (select note A: note B opens up!)
second thing i noticed was that I could no longer WRITE any notes. This is a major problem for me. New notes just don't get written and i am ejected to the home screen again.
3rd thing: cannot delete existing notes.
4th when i check 'sync notes' in itunes(9.0.8), it just refuses to sync when it reaches notes, saying that "itunes could not sync notes to the ipod because the ipod disconnected"
Have tried:
Restarting itunes +doing hard restart on ipod touch. <fixed the sync notes option unchecking itself.
Any help will be greatly appreciated thanks in advance!

I have done a little experimenting: 1-close all open windows (I found that I had to do this step in order to keep Safari from hanging-will be explained later). 2: Remove all data in Prefs. 3: Immediately close the prefs window (no window should be open at this point) and quit Safari. Try to complete step 3 fast as possible; I have it down to a few seconds. The reason I urge you to close all windows is that Safari hangs until forced to quit upon immediately quitting after removing cookies. I think the auto page reload in Lion is the cause of these hiccups but I can't be sure about that. The hasty quit I found is crucial to success. Don't know why that is but it could prevent the data from re-populating. A quick flush, if you will. Hit me back if you need any of my suggestions clarified; a bit wordy, I know

Firstly,definition your problem's type:
1.ABAP grammar questions or ABAP language questions.
     Pls type in Transaction Code : ABAPDOCU
     There are much of sample codes they will show you how to use ABAP,SQL,Internal Table and so on.
     I think it can help most of your problems like this.
     Otherwise, pls go to the ABAP expert's seat and ask for him help.
2.BAPI problem:
     This should be the nightmare of the each ABAP programmer.Since there are hundreds of thousands of BAPI.Which should be the best one to solve your      problem?And each BAPI has so much parameters,it maybe makes you confused.Definitely it will.
     So how to do?
     1.Locate the right BAPI you need to use.
     Serveral method to find the BAPI.
          1.From the BAPI Explorer. You can find most of the standard BAPI by category and alphabetical.
          2.Debug the Tcode that SAP GUI provide,then find the BAPI that the GUI launced,it should be the right one.
               Just type in "/h" before you type in the Tcode,and you will be get into the debug mode.Then you will find the backend BAPI it uses.
          3.Search the FM by the key words.Such as type "BPCreate*" in the SE37.
     2.Define the right parameters.
          Yes, this is the most difficult one.Because SAP's documents are so little.And it is not enough to tell us how to use this BAPI, even you know which BAPI is the right one. So ,my experiences is :
          1. Read the document first if it has.Although these documents are so brief,however it provide some of the basic informations.It should help.
          2.Search the used list, find out where this BAPI has been used before.Just click here:
          Usually, here should be somewhere that called this BAPI:
          Then double click the line, and the codes will be there.Sometimes the sample code helps you a lot.
          3.Debug the FM,and call the BAPI manually.Just click "Excute" in the FM itself. A Gui will show up to let you fill in the parameters.
            It is boring to try every parameters out,however, if the parameter is not huge, it works.It can save time for you.
          4.Search the SAP forum, to seek if there any experiences of the other guys.Since there are so many devleopers do the same job as you in the whole world, every error you got should has been resolved by the others.So don't worry about that.
          5.If the method above did not work, Congratulations, it is time for you to upgrade your ABPA level.You should to buy some lottery.
            What's the most interesting things of the programming?? Debug !!
           Just go through the BAPI code line by line, and keep eyes on the watch point.It is a period to improve your skills.
          However, this method will pay you much of time.

When are these problems gonna be solved?! I don't want to install this with all these problems...

So don't install Lion yet. Lots of people wait at least a week after a public release of a major OS upgrade just to see what the common issues might be. Others wait for the first update (x.1) which usually clears up most of the issues missed during the beta period.
Or make a bootable backup on an external drive and then do the upgrade. Most people aren't experiencing any problems. I'm not. But if you're one of the unlucky ones, that bootable backup will let you go back to Snow Leopard until you're ready to try Lion again later.

we have created shared folder on multiple client machine in domain environment on different 2 OS like-XP,Vista, etc.
from some day's When we facing problem when we are access from host name that shared folder is accessible but same time same computer when we are trying to access the share folder with IP it asking for credentials i have type again and again
correct credential but unable to access that. If i re-share the folder then we are access it but when we are restarted the system then same problem is occurring.
I have checked IP,DNS,Gateway and more each & everything is well.
Pls suggest us.

According to your description, my understanding is that the same shared folder can be accessed by name, but can’t be accessed be IP address and asks for credentials.
Please try to enable the option below on the device which has shared folder:
Besides, check the Advanced Shring settings of shared folder and confrim that if there is any limitation settings.

You music etc should not be affected by problems with the iTunes program, nevertheless it is always a good idea to backup your data.
You haven't said if there was any error message when you tried to start iTunes. If there was one please give it in full.
Also check to see if QuickTime works, iTunes can not work without it. If QuickTime doesn't work, it has to be fixed before worrying about iTunes.
Then restart your PC and open your Task manger and select the Processes tab.
Try to start iTunes, does iTunes.exe appear on the processes tab? If so does it disappear again or remain although the programs does not open?

When I insert sticky notes, typing is very slow. This doesn't happen with the
other program. I've uninstalled and reinstalled. I still have the same problem.

This phenomenon can happen with PDF files that have errors in them. Adobe Reader or Acrobat may be able to fix these errors, but if you close the application, it will ask to save the corrected file. If you save it once, that should no longer occur when you open it again.
This is just one explanation, but it doesn't explain why that happens with every PDF you have.
Test: does it also happen with a PDF that is not supposed to contain any errors: http://helpx.adobe.com/pdf/adobe_reader_reference.pdf ?

Can you try Firefox in [[Safe Mode | Safe Mode]] to see if the problem goes away. I'm thinking it's an extension.

I tried the manual method. I was able to set the music/video to manual and then restarted the entire system. After restart, I re-attached the ipod touch to the computer. The sync automatically ran for everything that wasn't set to manual and it completed without a problem. I then reset the music/video to automatically sync and restarted the entire coputer/ipod set again. This time when I re-attached the ipod, EVERYTHING synced and there were no problems reported. I've never had to do this before, but I will keep it in mind if something like this happens again. Thank you for pointing me to the manual sync.

I downloaded carbon copy. transferred entire internal hd to new replacement HD thru USB. computer booted from replacement hrdrive. then installed replacement hard rive into iMac. when rebooting imac did not recognized new replacement hd.

It should not matter. CCC will "clone" the recovery partition as well, but not knowing exactly what operation you had CCC perform it is difficult to know what may have gone wrong - it has many customizable options and you have to choose the correct one.
I have performed the same transplant as you described and didn't have a problem, but if your Mac is not recognizing the internal HD you really have no choice other than to reinitialize it as suggested. After that, install OS X, upgrade to Mountain Lion if required, and migrate your old account(s) from your backup.

I assume you didn't mean that literally. Have redundant backups - don't "back up your backups".

"Error when sending message: Method not implemented", I know this is related to post configuration issue, I just know someone has come cross the situation and how it was resolved.

Yes it looks like post installation problem. I have not come across this but i think you should check with the RFC created for IE while installation. To connect IE & AE and even the exchange profile if something is missing
