When is apple TV going have more UK content, i have no interest in American Foot Ball or other related US stuff (We have our sports here in the UK and Europe) its about time apple got some UK content provider partners BBC, SKY, or others. All the others in the market place are, Why can't you?

The SKY player is available to anyone regardless of having a SKY box in the house or not. I don't have SKY installed but I can subscribe to the SKY player to watch content or live streaming via the player which I then connect my Macbook Pro to my tv to watch Stargate Universe as it is on Sky 1.
If this function could be added to the Apple TV, then as you would imagine, would rock a lot of peoples world.
You can also use the Sky player to take advantage of "multi room" with out taking a second box. You still pay the £10 a month sub. charge but don't pay for any extra equipment which in turn makes it more profitable for Sky.
Sky don't want you doing that though, they want to get you into a subscription with a set-top box.
The Sky player app is for mobile use and i very much doubt Sky would be interested in give you content on the TV without using their STB.
The content owner is king at the moment and only they will device how to make their content available. Just look at the legal issues in the US with the various mobile TV apps appearing and having channels removed.

I just caught a thing called nation advanced search on my iMac computer, which I think is a spyware. When I want wo go to google chrome it redirects me to this ominous nation search engeen. Has anybody got some information about it and how I can get rid of it? What does can it do to my data and is it really a spyware? I just found information in youtube, that it is a spyware, and that it has to be removed, but the information they give for the removal is just working for PCs not for Macs.
Please help!Thank you all for the friendly assistance provided.
I have found a solutiton to the problem I was having. I hope that many more can benefit from the information I will provide.
I started at Finder, then went to GO selected COMPUTER and then Machintosh HD, then Library, Scripting Additions folder and trashed all that was there. This is what worked for me, if you choose to not delete your content its up to you. Happy Computing.
God Bless!!
This solved my question -

hi there, i'd like to know when will apple open some app store here in Slovak Republic.
Man, we're in the 21st century and we are still waiting, like we're the last nation on the planet. If I want to buy some apple product, i have to visit some local distributors with overpriced products (for example iPhone 4s, 16GB for about 800 eur) - that is insane!
Me, as an slovakian, it is not possible to place an order in Czech App Store because, i am not a citizen of Czech Republic.
Anybody responsible (from Apple) to answer me? Thanks!Apple is not picking on you. Apple would love to have everyone's business. We do not have Apple Stores in Mexico and you cannot get much closer to the USA than Mexico, unless you are in Canada. We do have an Apple on line store. Apple is in the markets that it is allowed to sell in and where it is profitable to do so.
This is a user to user forum. As was explained when you opened your account, Apple is not here in the forums and does not answer questions posted here. -
When is apple going to release a iPhone 5 alarm clock? The lack of accessories for the iPhone 5 is really making me wish I would have just kept my 4s.
Hi - There is an alarm choice at the bottom of the clock app - is this what you are looking for?

The volume on my iPad 3 has dropped to a very low setting. I have tried all the suggestions with setting and did a reset, nothing works and it seems this is an issue with many others. When is Apple going to address this problem?
You aren't talking to Apple here. This is a user to user technical help forum hosted by Apple. We are all users here.
For what it's worth I haven't see any change in volume on my iPad 3. -
for some reason i have more than one apple id, not sure how, must have set one up ages ago and forgot about it. can i delete one, or merge them? how do i know im not going to lose info if i delete one account?
You can neither merge or delete them. Pick one and stop using the other. If they both have purchases associated with them you will have to keep using both.

I am sick of dealing with this issue. I wish not that I had never even started using any Apple products, beginning with iTunes. WHEN IS APPLE GOING TO ADDRESS THIS ISSUE AND MAKE ITUNES SOMEHOW COMPATIBLE WITH DEP IN WINDOWS VISTA?
That being said, Is there any way to resolve this? What I did in the past is completely wipe ALL Apple files from my computer, and install an older version of iTunes. It was at least functional. It seems that any version of iTunes 10.0 or more recent is not compatible with the Data Execution Prevention in Windows. You can not remove iTunes from DEP, yet DEP prevents iTunes from running.
The down side is that I can't get the latest updates for my iPhone or iPod. Now, I have a new phone for my husband that needs syncing on my iTunes, and I can't do that because iTunes won't even open.
Can somebody help me out with this, please?OK, lets do a complete overhaul to make sure it's working ok.
First to check your Windows system file for any corruption:
Go to command prompt (START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES right mouse click "command prompt" and choose "Run as Administrator"
type in
sfc /scannow
let Windows fix any system files that need to be repaired.
Restart the computer.
Start iTunes and see if it is ok.
If it doesn't, will have to go through the whole process of uninstalling and installing acccording to the following steps:
1. Go to Microsoft website to fix install and Unistall problems. Click "Run now" from Fix it to remove all iTunes & related installer files:
http://support.microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall
Be aware that Windows Installer CleanUp Utility will not remove the actual program from your computer. However, it will remove the installation files so that you can start the installation, upgrade, or uninstall over.
2. You should remove all instances of iTunes and the rest of the components listed below:
it may be necessary to remove all traces of iTunes, QuickTime, and related software components from your computer before reinstalling iTunes.
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order:
iTunes
QuickTime
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
(Referenceinstructions from Apple article listed here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923 to remove all components)
3. Reboot your computer. Next, download iTunes from here:http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ and install from scratch -
When is Apple going to fix the problem with slow Time Machine backups with Mavericks?
I have been with Apple tech support and they got my Time Machine working by doing a spotlight re-indexing and a safe boot. This worked for about three days and I am back to very slow backups. It is impossible for Time Machine to back up every hour when it takes six hours to do the back up. I don't want to take hours to re-index with spotlight all the time. I think taking six hours to do an incremental backup is a bit much. I see that there are many people that have this trouble and it all started with an upgrade to Mavericks. The question is when is Apple going to fix this problem of slow backups with Time Machine for Mavericks. I have wasted more time than I care to. I am think of going back to Windows. I need good solid backups of my machine and Apple has taken it away with the new Mavericks. Oh, I am using the UBS 3.0 connection so the drive should not be the problem. Also this has occurred in about the last five months, so I am not sure this problem was in the original Marvericks.
Allen Thanks for your reply. All I can say is several months ago Time Machine quit working in a reasonable manner. Right now I have a Time Machine backup that has been running all night and still has three hours to go to backup 6 GB of data. I am using a OWC 1.5 TB drive connected directly to my MacBook with a USB 3.0 connection. In the resent past I have added Dropbox, GoogleDrive and a MAMP server on which I am using a program called Learning With Text from Sourceforge. There have been a lot of questions on the forum about people having very slow Time Machine back ups, so it appears to be a general problem. I should also state I am getting this very slow backup after doing the Spotlight re-indexing and the Safe Restart procedure that was told to me by apple support. I have a 750 GB drive in my MacBook Pro which I am constantly trying to keep at a 5% level of free space. This might be a problem also. However, I am working on a lot of things and like to have a lot of things on my drive. Also the heavily loaded drive has not be a problem in the past. This slow backup business started about three months ago, so something has happen in a very short time period. Now it seems even the procedure that Apple support gave me is not working. Currently I am in China and it is difficult to interact with Apple support to solve this problem, but because I am in China having my computer backed up is critical. I have run the EtreCheck and am attaching the results below. I would appreciate any suggestions. If necessary I will clear out more of my hard drive if that appears to be a solution. The Time Machine drive was recently reformed so I only have a few backups on it. I also don't run the Time Machine all the time as I don't want multi-hour backups running all the time. I run it every few days.

When is Apple going to support Flash Player on IPad?
The majority of sites that have multimedia content rely on Flash. Safari users are missing out on tons and tons of content that depends on Flash. I have and love my IPad 2. I should be able to use this awesome thing to get at anything I need to on the Internet. Yet when I need to access Flash sites, I am forced back to my windows PC.
Please Apple Make it happen! I'm tired of being ragged by android users on this. You need to fix it.xx66stangxx wrote:
Flash is a dieing technology.
Really it's not seeming that way.
In fact, since the iPad release, and Steve Jobs famously declairing the death of Flash, Flash useage has increased.
Check it out 95.75% of all internet connected devices have the Flash Player.
http://www.statowl.com/flash.php
(the mac only has 12% share, it must be totally doomed then)
IOS Apps are now made using Adobe Flash
http://thenextweb.com/apple/2011/09/09/the-best-selling-ipad-app-on-the-app-stor e-was-created-with-adobe-flash/
And so are Android, Blackberry etc.
And HTML5 was supposed to be Apple's answer to all the missing content, yet here, 3 years later, HTML5 is no where to be seen, and lacks support/performance to compete with Flash.
http://getmoai.com/images/banners/mobilegaming-html5-vs-alternatives-011112-moai .jpg
Just look at how when you step outside the reality distortion field, things look much different. Look at HTML5 performance compared to Flash.... wasn't HTML5 supposed to outperform and save us from dead batteries? Well even 3 years after Steve Jobs claims it's still using 5x more resources than Flash.
This demo shows 16,250 sprites animating at 60fps using the Flash player, something HTML5 can't even do with less than 100 sprites.
http://www.bytearray.org/?p=4074
HTML5 is a joke, Flash is real, and is providing real content to real people right now. If you as an Apple owner believe the ownership of an IOS device is worth this loss, then more power to you. -
My MacBook Pro 17" early 2011(built March) and my new OCZ sata III 6G are not working together, when is Apple going to admit there is a problem with the Intel's 6 Series Chipset. In System Information it says "Link Speed: 6 Gigabit" which is sata III and in my MacBook Pro it does not work.
Now MacBook Pro 17" early 2011 built May onward do not have this problem it was fixed in the Intel's 6 Series Chipset. (So there is a problem). Cam I have my MacBook Pro fixed please. After biting the bullet and ordering more RAM, my computer now is working a ton better. So that must have been the main issue. With 8 GB RAM, I can now even run Parallels fluidly (better than my work PC!) where before simple things like logging in to my MBP after reboot could take forever.
The place I went to had several other people getting RAM upgrades at the same time as me, so between this and other comments I've seen in discussions here and elsewhere on the Internets, I take it to mean that either Apple should bump up the base RAM on its new machines, and/or stop charging so much for additional RAM.
I refused to believe a Pro machine bought with Lion installed would come with too little RAM for light to medium usage, but it was apparently the case. I'll mark this as a correct answer and hope some other poor soul will come across this thread and be helped by it. -

When is Apple going to FIX ALU?
This is a great app /utility with use in multiple programs. When's Apple going to get off their buts and fix it?
Your right!! I should have given details.
I don't like the new music app for iOS 5.
You need to constantly use iTunes to change play list content etc.
Podcasts won't play in a loop.
Even the iPhone has more control in the music app.
I wish Apple had given more music tools instead of removing them.
I am having a hard time finding the feedback form. Can you help with a link?
I'll bookmark it for future use.

Since you said MY IPHONE the answer is that Apple is never going to fix it unless you call them or take it to a store for diagnosis. MY IPHONE has none of these problems. And it doesn't have a battery problem either. -
When is Apple going to fix keyboard shortcuts?
iOS6 has been out for more than a year now. When is Apple going to get around to fixing the keyboard shortcuts. They worked perfectly on iOS5 but they only work about 10% of the time with iOS6. Will this issue be resolved with iOS7?
dbolin wrote:

That's actually not true, as iOS 6 came out on September 19, 2012.
We are Apple users here. We would be happy to help you with your issue, but you would have to be more specific in describing it. What exactly did you type (presumably into Settings to set up a shortcut)? What exactly was the resulting behavior you observed?
