When Opening Soundtrack Pro 2.0.2: Unexpected Error "NSImageCacheException"

For some reason, when I open Soundtrack Pro 2.0.2, the application doesn't completely open. I have access to the File>New>MultrackProject (or Audio File), but when I make my selection, it give me this "An Unexpected Problem" NSImageCacheException Can't Cache Image.
I don't know what image the application is trying to cache but the entire application won't open because of it. I've tried reinstalling software and updates from Apple. Nothing at the moment.
Anyone know something about this?

Delete the plist for the app.
Get digitalrebellion.com 's FCS Maintenance pack and use it to selectively trash the preferences. That usually fixes this sort of issue. If it doesn't, the next step is to use FCS Maintenance Pack to selectively remove STP, then reinstall it. Don't bother deleting/reinstalling the sound files.

Delete the preview cache using your operating system. It is a folder whose name ends with Previews.LRDATA. Do not delete the Lightroom catalog, which ends with .LRCAT

If you have not done so remove any files relating to iWork and Keynote and reinstall iWork
files that must go are:
the iWork ’09 folder from the main HD > Applications;

the individual iWork application plist files found in HD > Users > (your account) > Library >

It means there is an issue with the preview cache.
If it persists after closing and re-opening Lightroom then you will need to delete the preview folder.
There is no permanent harm and Lightroom will regenerate the previews on an asneeded basis or the whole image collection if you ask it.
The previews folder exists in the Lightroom folder and has the name "Your catalog name PREVIEW.LRDATA".
Make sure it is the the correct folder before deleting it.

Can't open Soundtrack Pro

but it's still appeared this problem again

It would seem that this issue arises when customizing the toolbar with a open project. Try deleting the file in ~/Library/Application Support/Soundtrack Pro/Layouts. Launch STP. Customize the toolbar with an empty project. Quit and relaunch again. The layouts file is correctly saved and you can resume working. Worked on my Mac Pro (Early 2008 w/ 10.6.2), hope it works for you.

Amplitude increase when using Soundtrack Pro as external editor

I am finding that when I use Soundtrack Pro as an external sample editor from within Logic, the subsequent audio in STP is louder by about 7-8dB, and so often clips. The audio region plays normally within the Logic sample editor and if I open it with STP, not going via Logic, it plays normally as well.
Am I missing something about the 'use external editor' command, or is this a bug?

I'm glad to hear I'm not making a trivial error - unless we both are of course . Another bug seems to be that the waveform disappears at odd times.
I think I will persist with STP as it covers some ground better than Logic, though it is a bit thin to be properly regarded as a 'Pro' app in its own right. It definitely rests on the coat-tails of FCP.

Can you check the ULS logs to find what is the error. The default location of log files will be C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\12\LOGS for MOSS 2007.
If is allowed for you to change the callstack and customerrors mode setting in the web.config then change those values to see the error.
Find: <SafeMode CallStack="false" />
Replace with: <SafeMode CallStack="true" />
Find: <customErrors mode="On" />
Replace with: <customErrors mode="Off" />

Using FCS 2 --
1. From FCS 2 do a Send To Soundtrack Pro MultiTrack
2. Add a Track
3. Located sound file I wanted .aiff via Search tab
4. drag file to File Editor tab on new empty track
5. drag file from File Editor to empty track
The downside, I can't always duplicate this, especially if a create an new blank STP project.
Anyone else run into this problem with the new Soundtrack Pro 2.0??

I had the same problem - same error. The file I was trying to add to my track was a soundtrack supplied special FX noise. Tried many different clips, same problem. Also, the main project window seems to want to auto scroll - but only in one direction.

What version of iPhoto do you have? If you're on 10.5 then you're not running the latest iPhoto

I am unable to open Lightroom 5 catalogs due to "unexpected error"

I cannot currently open Lightroom. Each time I try it tells me that the catalog could not open due to an "unexpected error". I get this error for every catalog and every backup. I can't even seem to create a new catalog successfully. Any help would be great.

Did a site search for "unexpected error" not turn anything up?
