When out of town i can recieve email but cannot send email?

When away from home i cannot send emails. I recieve them just fine?

My Iphone 4s can recieve messages but not send them

As above, I can recieve messages, but not send them, I have no idea what is going on and I haven't even done anything to it, it randomly just stopped working one day, I've tried resetting network settings, switching it on and off, switching on and off everything related to the internet... still nothing.
It also won't connect to the EE internet network but wifi is fine?

Also, to add, when it asks me to sign in to my apple ID it keeps saying my password for my email is wrong, when it's not, I checked it 5 times, entered the exact same password on the computer and it worked there.

Sorry i asked this on you discussion, but its soo confusing .
The mobile phone looking number is what you call the message center number. Contact your service provider to get the actual one. Then, make sure that you have the same number updated in Messaging -> Options -> Settings -> Text messages -> Msg. centre in use.
This is not your "actual phone number".

If you can receive them, but not sen, check your SMTP settings (which are used to send), not your POP3 or IMAP settings which are used to receive.

I can log on icloud on pc but when i enter password on my ipad mini first gen with ios8 it tells me wrong password. and i can receive mail but cannot send any mail via icloud, gmail, yahoo never had to set this up with ios7. how do i resolve this?

I updated my ipad mini first gen 32gig (4.3gig free) to run ios8 8.0(12A365) and i have a problem sending emails. i can receive mail but when i send it fails. my dropbox works fine, safari, and other apps work fine on the internet just the receiving of mail. Do i need to add a new outgoing server, though i dont remeber having to do this when i updated to ios7. how do i resolve this?

It doesn't seem to cover your specific issue, but have you tried using a different network (either a different wi-fi network, or switching from wi-fi to cellular or vice-versa if you have a wi-fi+cellular iPad)?
For GMail, iCloud and Yahoo, copies of messages are stored on their respective servers, so you could try deleting the account on your iPad, then re-adding each account one at a time to see if that resolves the issue.

I get a message when I try to send email "cannot send mail" and below that" the user name or password for SMTP.comcast.net is incorrect" . In settings there is only a place for username and password for incoming mail, and I verified with comcast. I can receive email. I just got my iPhone and I was setting up my email account which is AIM. It works perfectly except for one problem. When I try to send an email (and I have tried to multiple people), a message pops up that says:
Cannot Send Mail
The sender address was invalid.
It says this any messages I try to send. Anyone have any ideas?? Thanks!!

I can receive texts, but cannot send them

When I try to send a text, I have a new looking screen that shows a "subject" line, I can type a text, but the 'send' button is subdued and will not allow me to send a text. This just happened today. Yesterday, I could send texts, but not MMS. According to ATT, everything is OK on my account and I should have full texting ability.
Any thoughts?

you have to type below the grey line under subject. The send wont show till something is typed below the line.

Running iMac OS X Yosemtie 10.10.2. Cannot send or reply to emails. Can receive but not send. Have tried all the recommended fixes without success. BUT, the original problem still stands: I go to Settings / FaceTime / Use Apple ID for FaceTime / Enter Apple ID... I enter my correct password and get: "FaceTime Activation. The user name or password for (...my email) was incorrect. Try again".
The user name, by default, is my email and my password is the same one used to access this forum, iStore etc. so I know both are correct.
I live in the UAE where FaceTime is banned, but my iPhone 4s is UK specs and has the FaceTime app. I use the same app on my MacBook Pro over broadband and iPad over wifi with no problems. Advice appreciated.

Mail can receive messages but cannot send them

I can receive messages in Mail but suddenly I cannot send them.
I just had my hard drive replaced. Runing 10.7.2.
I can send message using my iPad and the same account.

Check all your server setting on that account for the correct username and password, port number and the server address (POP/imap.Mail.XXX.com/net).
This is the only reason mail will not be sent. Incorrect settings on the account.
It may be best to delete the account and recreate it. that way you aren't skipping over the incorrect setting as we humans often do.
Just like I didn't type a capitol T on That in the above sentence. Although I caught that one.

Notifiaction says no password is entered. There is a password entered, and it is correct. What to do?

You need to enter a password for the SMTP server also, not just the incoming mail server.

We're going to need a lot more information here. what kind of messages? Emails, Text Messages? If email messages then what email service (gmail, hotmail, etc.) are you using and when you open the mail with the red x and scroll up into the headers what is the error message you receive?
Please be as specific as you can be about the problem and whether or not you've contacted your carrier about the issue, as well.
