The url of the website that I'm visiting used to show in the url box when I opened from a shortcut or email. But not it's not there unless I refresh the page. I've looked and haven't found a way to set this so that it works like it used to. I liked being able to click in the address bar and copy the link, or even to look there and see where I am.
I'm unable to check it in safe mode because the only time it happens is when I click a link and have not firefox open. For example if I would click a link in my email right now, it would open in another tab and show the address of the link I clicked. But if I didn't not have this window open and clicked alink, it would open a new window and I wouldn't be able to see the url.

I have a requirement in which i have to call a list from screen. On the list i have to display data on from screen. The data width is 200(around 15 columns).
In the screen's PBO i have used the below code to navigate to list:
LEAVE TO LIST-PROCESSING AND RETURN TO SCREEN 0.
SET PF-STATUS space.
SUPPRESS DIALOG.
But, here how can i set the custom LINE-SIZE and LINE-COUNT.

HP Photosmart C8180 Printer! WHY does this keep happening every day??
I have only had this for 3 months and it already has problems.
It keeps telling me its out of paper when it is not.
i always have at least 20 sheets in there!
You can hear the rollers going but it can't pick up the paper and I only use high quality A4 paper in there.
i then have to pull the tray out and push it back in, and yes i have the paper inserted in there correctly
also, sometimes when i get this "out of paper" message, i ignore it and just press OK and it works fine
why does this keep happening?

A printer is an item meant to print.
It is generally helpful if a printer recognizes such out-of-the-ordinary, eccentric, unheard-of media such as...oh, I dunno, 8.5 x 11-inch PAPER?????
It claims repeatedly to have run out of paper. No paper. No paper. Insert paper into paper tray. Now, granted, the minimalist quality of the paper tray--it holds 20 pages, roughly--might convince you that I had indeed used up all my paper; this is not the case. 18 of the 20 sheets are still there. So I readjust that paper, close the tray. It starts to pull in a piece of paper, and then there is the giant crunchy noise of a paper jam in progress. And forget about “easy access” for removing them, either.
In the months I have had this printer, I don’t believe it has EVER allowed me to print five pages consecutively without some sort of problem. To me, this is known as an EPIC FAIL.

When you tap the text and the blue copy command appears... you must TAP the copy command to invoke it.
You can save it anywhere that you can paste something. Go to that place and tap again and the paste command should appear , then TAP paste.
I use Notes as a convenient temporary storage if I am not going to paste it right away and before I forget what I have copied!
Clipboard? I think of the clipboard as being my fingernail on my tapping finger! -
When printing a photobook does Apple convert the images from RGB to CMYK?
I'm a little confused by Apple's Photobooks. Most printers require all images to be in the CMYK colourspace, since the inks used are always CMYK. Yet Apple requires Photobook images to be jpegs in the RGB colourspace. Does this mean Apple's printers (presumably plural, since they are all over the world) do some sort of autoconversion RGB to CMYK? Surely this would result in a major downgrading of quality? I've seen a few non-Apple photobooks printed with unconverted RGB images, and they look dreadful - overblown red and yellows, with awful colour casts. I've not seen an Apple Photobook myself, presumably the colours are realistic?

MBP switches spaces when returning from screen saver
When I move my finger minimally across the touchpad to bring my screen out of screen saver, invariably my MBP decides to shift spaces to the next to the left or right.
It is annoying.From System Preferences, go into Security. Hopefully, the padlock icon at the bottom will show as unlocked, because if it doesn't you need a password to open it to allow you to make changes. You will see a box that says "Require password to wake this computer form sleep or screen saver." That should do it. The password being asked for is your administrative password.

Dock disappears when waking from screen saver
I have had this happen a couple of times. It's an intermittent problem that I haven't found a pattern for yet.
When coming out of screen saver, the dock has vanished. The dock process doesn't show as hung and seems to be behaving normally. If I kill the process, it restarts and the dock launches properly and is fully functional.Fixed in update.

Missing password window when waking from screen saver
I've had some issues with waking from sleep once I turned on the screen saver password. I opened the lid and the screen lit up and I had the mouse pointer--but no user name/password box.
I tried opening/closing the lid a few times, plugging it in to an external monitor, etc, and no luck. I ended up having to hold the power key down until the machine turned off and then I rebooted, and I lost some work.
Is there any way to force a login screen?I have a simple solution, go to your "Energy Savings" setting under the System Settings, once there move the slider-bar so that your screen saver is never activated. Now move the slider-bar so the system goes into "stand-by" mode after 5-10 minutes, thus once opened again, should prompt you to enter your password..?!
Please ignore the "Windows" terms. I'm a new Mac user, but this solution has seamed to work in my case, at least until a "Fix" is made. -
Sometimes when sending mail from my AOL e-mail, it will go thru to Monzila users but many times they don't. I frequently get a MAILER-DAEMON. Why?
Thunderbird is email client software. Mailer-Daemon messages come from email provider's server. Email client software cannot create such a message.

i on day two of having an ipad, updated to io5 but putting music on it is proving tiresome. i've stored some 20gb on my netbook windows 7 from my larger library and using the sync process am trying to put tunes on the pad. when some albums appear they have one,maybe two songs available to play, the rest are grey and can't be played. It seems an endless process and this really is the only thing i've have concerns about i really like it.
That would be a question for Yahoo or Microsoft. It isn't your iPad that is doing this.

I have to run my report on web..however its not able to locate the browser and i get the error "Failed to Locate Browser".Where can we set the path for the browser? Thanks Madhuri
