When reporting "Spend" do you use PO Value, Invoice Amount or Goods Receipt

When reporting "Spend" do you use PO Value, Invoice Amount or Goods Receipt? I am trying to standardize reporting and would like feedback on what is the norm. The users cannot agree so I need to know what the standard is.

PO Value is what is budgeted for ,
Invoice is what is actually being paid for.
GR would give you the value of goods received. My take on this is that it should be Invoice value since this is what is reflected in the books and is actually being paid for...

    In the standard system, the Purchasing Information System updates this key figure in local currency upon invoice receipt on the purchase order date of the schedule line ( information structure S011, S012).
    2) Invoice amount as at posting date

  • Can you use the value from a numeric indicator in a numeric control?

    Hi!
         I have to develop a code where I have to find the maximum value of a waveform and draw a line at 50% of the value. So I chose to find the amplitude of say 10 cycles of waveforms and found the maximum value out of the amplitudes. 
    But my real problem is, I have to use the maximum amplitude value that I get from the max. array VI and put it back in program to calculate the 50% value. 
    So is it possible to use the value from a numeric indicator and put it in a numeric control? Like in MATLAB or C, you give the variable a name and use it later to do any computations. Is it possible to do something similar in LabVIEW?

    Hi!
         Thank you very much for taking some time out. I have been trying to do this since 2 months and I am stuck right where I am.
    The situation is, I have to calculate the amplitude of the irregular waveform for a few trials and then find the maximum amplitude out of the trials and display a line at whatever % of amplitude the user chooses. I tried using property nodes but I am getting Error 1055 for some unknown reason. Then I decided to draw the line using DC offset but it turns out it calculates the amplitude each time and so the line keeps dancing everytime. Now my challenge is to have the amplitude calculated for say, 20 loops and then calculate the max from that. I ran out of ideas so I am posting here. I am using LabVIEW version 8, and I'll upload a few of my attempts. I hope I am not troubling you'll much.

  • Outbound Delivery IDOC not updating values from MKPF for goods receipt

    hi all,
    I have a question say I am generating an outbound delivery IDOC. which  has fields Goods Issues & Goods Receipt date retrieve from MKPF(BUDAT).
    say when i post goods issues, MKPF is updated and  IDOC is gernerated with issues date taken from MKPF.
    and when i tried to goods receipt, MKPf is updated and IDOC is generated but no receipt date taken from MKPF. then i check in MKPF, date is there and then once again I triggered the IDOC, receipt date comes......so my doubt is the time issues say when IDOC is triggeres, no value in MKPF...but when i check the time it is 4 mins difference from the MKPF time and the IDOC time...
    and also 1 more thing for doing goods receipt, we do in different transaction and for good issue we do in Vl02n.
    so bit confused.

    True , but in BKPF only Issues date are stored not the receipt date say if the document type = WE.
    Please let me know is there any other options to fetch rather than MKPF.
    because at the time of IDOC generation, there is not entries in MKPF. I tried to do using WAIT UP TO 50 seconds , even that didnt work.

    We create Captivate slides for software training. Currently
    they have no audio (meaning narration, we do have mouse clicks and
    other sounds). Some of our clients are requesting audio for the new
    training that we're developing. It seems like a lot of effort for
    not much benefit because they want the option of turning the sound
    off if necessary. To give them the full benefit of the training,
    with or without sound, it seems to me like the audio will be
    nothing more than reading the caption to them.
    Can those of you who are using audio give me some ideas of
    how you're using it?

  • What do you use to make Gnome apps look good in KDE4?

    What are you all using to make Gnome apps (like Firefox, Gimp, Inkscape.. etc) look good in KDE (I am using KDEmod).
    I tried Qtcurve (I think it works the best), gtk-qt-engine (for some reason it didn't seem to work for me) and others...
    I want to hear opinion from other people (who use KDE or possibly KDEmod) and who are probably using Arch longer than me. This is my first successful Arch install.

  • Restatement Functionality when reporting is in different box then consol

    We want to achieve restatement functionality but our reporting is in different box meaning consolidation is in one box & reporting is in BI box where virtual multiprovider will not exist.

    But in both Boxes, you are using SEM-BCS transactional infocubes, right ?
    If yes (which is for me mandatory), you need to generate the virtual cube in the reporting box at least to perform the consolidation reporting. Actually, the issue is not the mutliple hierarchy option, but the consolidation logic in general. You will not be able to retrieve consistent data if you base your reporting on a basic cube or a transactional cube. The full concept of BCS is highly based on the virtual cube and its function modules. Basic examples : you can have the date of acquisition / date of divestiture in a cons group, the accounting techniques or the reporting mode correctly applied in the reporting ONLY IF you use the BCS virtual cube.

  • Steps For Goods Receipt For Work Order Using Handling Units

    Hello MM gurus,
    I'm new to HU Management.  Can you please share with me the steps for executing a "Goods Receipt For Work Order" using Handling Units?
    I created a HU (1000000026), and then using transaction COWBHUWE I tried using that HU to create a goods receipt, but I keep getting the message below:
    Handling unit 1000000026 is not provided for goods receipt
    Message no. VHURM046
    Do you have to assign/plan HUs to Process Orders first? I think the problem is that I'm not understanding the process or the requirements for a goods receipt for work order using HU.

    I've been doing Handling Units testing in our sandbox environment and I've been trying to Pack a Finished Product for a Process Order using
    1-Transaction code HU02 to create the Handling Unit
    2-Transaction COWBHUE after creating the HU to enter the production order number and the HU number and propose it, but the it doesn't work. When I propose it, nothing happens.
    3.-I also tried COWBPACK, but for some reason, when I go into COWBPACK, key in the Process Order, and then press enter, I get the following message:
    You do not have authorization to create handling units for plant BP08
    Message no. VHUPD500
    Do you know how to solve this issue?

  • Posting Goods Receipt using DTW

    Hi Experts
    I am using DTW to post around 9000 Goods Receipt documents and I am having trouble getting the items to post at the correct price.   Each time I try to post SAP B1 (2007A) uses the Last Purchase Price price list even though I have a different item cost in the DTW document.
    I am using 2 .txt file for the header and rows respectively.  The header contains:
    RecordKey     DocDate     DocDueDate     TaxDate     Comments     Reference2
    The rows contain:
    RecordKey     LineNum     ItemCode     WarehouseCode     Quantity     Price
    How can I instruct using the DTW to post at the price in the txt file rather than defaulting to a system price list please?

    Hi,
    Instead of filling in the Price column, put your value in the UnitPrice colum (shows PriceBefDi in row 2).
    That will then give you that price instead of the price list price.

  • Error while using BAPI  to create Goods Receipt Document

        While using the bapi BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE to create  Goods receipt document ,the following error is encountered:-
    Error Message:FOR OBJECT XABBELEGNR,NUMBER RANGE INTERVAL DOES NOT EXIST OM36.
    Do we need to create a number range object ??If yes,how and where to create ?

    There is only a valid interval missing, not the whole object.
    Maintenance can be done via transaction SNRO, enter your object XABBELEGNR in entry screen. (Alternatively use transaction OMJ6).
    Push button 'Number Ranges' and 'Change Intervals'. Here you can define an interval.

  • Invoice Qty Vs PO Qty and Invoice Amount Vs PO Value - PO Line item same

    I want to control as per below.
    1) Invoice Verification should not be allowed ( GR based & Non-GR Based IV - Both scenarios ) if total invoice qty is more than po total qty against PO same line item.
    e.g.,
    in line item 10, Material "M1" is having qty 100 EA in Purchase order "PO1".
    while doing IV for the above, ( may be GR based IV and may not be GR based IV ) if the qty exceeds 100 EA, system should not allow.
    Requirement: Always total invoice qty ( already invoiced and now invoicing ) should be validated against total PO qty against same line item.
    2) want to control "Value" as per above.

    Set Error messages in t.code: OMRM & Maintain the following messages( For restriction of invoice verification wrt PO)
    For GR based invoice verification:
    M8 -081 Quantities invoiced greater than goods receipt quantity as ERROR ( maintain GR-based IV in the PO item level )
    For PO based invoice verification :
    M8 -087( item without GR ) - Invoice quantity greater than PO quantity as ERROR & save.
    Also maintain the messages M8 -081 & M8 -087 as ERROR in OBMSG t.code & save.

  • GR Value is not matching with PO Value while posting good receipt.

    Hi Experts,
    My client has raised the PO with accounts assignment category K (COST CENTRE) with material description.
    but he has received invoice receipt before good receipt.while invoice receipt he has entered wrong value for some qty as per PO intially and cancelled that wrong entry.
    I have gone through original & cancelled invoice document accounting entries. below is entries:
    Original invoice document accounting entries:
    GR/IR Clearing account: Debited
    Vendor account: Credited
    during cancelling the above document it should be vendor acc is debited and GR/IR account is credited but in the system below entries taken place
    Cancelled invoice document accounting entries:
    Vendor account : Debited
    GR/IR Account : Credited
    Consumption Account : Credited
    Why consumption acc taken place here. pls help what are the possibilitis....
    these entries affecting good receipt value means while taking goods receipt for some qty out of full qty value is not matching with PO value.
    but while cancelling the  GR documents system taking correct values as per PO. Please help.

    Check the Credit Memo document whether G/L tab is there & whether any G/L account is entered ?
    I think instead of cancelling the MIRO document they might have posted a vendor credit memo manually by specifying a consumption GL.

  • Delete button not available for goods receipt when PO has GR-Based IV set

    Hi ll,
    the delete button for confirmations is greyed out when the PO has the GR-Based IV set, the return delivery button however is available.
    There are several goods receipt on the PO some of which have linked invoices but the goods receipt I want to cancel is not linked to an invoice.
    I've checked the backend config and it's the same for movement types 102 and 122. Also I can manually post a 102 in the backend.
    For PO's without GR-Based IV both the delete and return delivery buttons are available.
    Does anyone have any ideas? We are on SRM 4.0.

    thanks for the response but I don't think this situation is related to backend settings as I can perform a 102 and a 122 against the same PO l;ine directly in R/3.
    This appears to be an SRM "feature".
    To claifry the situation
    PO flagged as GR-Based IV
    Purchase Order line has several goods receipts and several invoice receipts matched.
    Tryning to cancel a confirmation in SRM for a goods receipt without a matched invoice receipt.
    "Delete" button is not available but "Return Delivery" button is available.
    In R/3 backend I can post a 102 (delete) or a 122 (return) without any issues.
    Config settings are the same for 102 and 122 in the R/3 backend.
    Any one any ideas?

    Here is the solution that I received from the chat line.
    When you update applications like Pages it usually keeps both versions on the computer. So what most likely happened is it didn’t put the new version on your dock. So to fix this, open a finder window. And go into applications which should be listed on the left. Scroll down and you will see Pages listed in here. And the icon should look different. You can drag that icon down onto your dock.Open that and you then can access your documents
