When Updating Kernel, Will I Have To Recompile For RAID?

I recompiled my kernel for RAID 5, but I was wondering when updating to newer version of the kernel, will ArchLinux have RAID support compiled in, or will I have to recompile RAID support in each time there is a kernel update?

It's in the default kernel, as a module.
Okay so just each time I update the kernel the depmod -a command should take care of everything right?

It's up to Samsung to do that, not Apple. You need to ask them.

  • HT4914 Does the music upload limit of 25 000 songs to iCloud is aside of the 6gig limit offered by iCloud for stocking/saving data or is it the same? Will I have to pay for an storage limit update for iCloud because I take iTunes Match?

And will I have to pay for an update storage limit for iCloud because I take iTunes Match?

No, your iCloud storage is seperate. I have 42GB of music in my itunes match account and I still have almost all of the 5GB of storage space free. You only have to pay for itunes match once and as long as you don't have more than 25,000 songs in your itunes, you are good to go.

Will I have to pay for the track again when re-purchasing with itunes plus?

The only ways to upgrade a track from the old format of 128kbps with DRM to the "iTunes Plus" format are to either repurchase the track or to subscribe to iTunes Match. The offer to upgrade an individual track for a small fee was discontinued a number of months ago.

  • When will we  have IOS6.0 for IPDA one?

When will we  have IOS6.0 for IPDA one?

Apple stopped selling the iPad 1 two and a half years ago.  Your iPad 1 can still do all the things it could do back then.  It is not capable of running iOS 6 since it does not have some of the chips in that iOS 6 requires.  There's nothing anyone can do about it.  If you find this unacceptable, please contact Apple.  There's no point posting about it here: nobody from Apple has any responsibility for reading these groups.  We are just users of Apple devices helping each-other solve technical problems.
If your needs have changed in the last 2.5 years, then you will have to buy a new device.  If your needs are still the same as they were 2.5 years ago, then your iPad should still be doing the same things it did back then.
I trust that this answers the question you have about your iPad.  If you need help with a technical on a different subject but still related to "iPad in Business and Education", please do not hesitate to post it.

  • How can I get my iPhone to stop promting me to enter my wife's Apple ID when updating apps? I've checked settings for iTunes

How can I get my iPhone 6 to stop prompting me to enter my wife's Apple ID when updating apps? I have verified in settings that my acct is listed in itunes & App Store, as well as icloud. i can download new apps fine. Have shut down phone and re-powered, have tried plugging into my iMac while signed into my iTunes acct. Can't figure out what to do next?

Is the comp a synced device to your apple ID and approved as an active device for this synchronization?
Just cloud the sync once, activate the comp to your apple I'd in iTunes, ensure all software is up to date, turn on home sharing between the devices and you can reinstall the apps from the apple id purchase history via download.
You basically cleaned out the canonical data apple uses to validate all that, which was backup data. Like iOS devices have the purchased option on the App Store now, syncing the devices via the home sharing and properly activating them will give your comp the purchased cloud and free up 10gs of space on the precious solid states smaller drives.
    Hope that helps...

  • Bought books that are now part of a collection, and I would like to buy the collection but not pay for previously boughten books. Is this possible or will I have to pay for them again? (Tsd training mechanics collection)

    ipad mini 2 retina
    ios 8.2
i bought some books about automotive engines by TSD training. A total of 3 books.
Earlier i was browsing the iBooks App Store and noticed these books were now part of a 14 course mechanics collection of books.
I wanted to buy the remaining 11 courses (iBooks) in this collection thinking I could just "complete my album" per say as you can when purchasing a collection of music on a given album but it seems I do not have this option. Will I have to pay for these 3 books again if I buy the collection? is there a way around this? Can I choose only the remaining books I need?  Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance

If you want to buy the other books in the collection, you will not be charged for the books you already purchased.

    No way.
This is evil courting stupidity, for one would have to be a complete imbecile to sign on to this model.

  • If I wanted to buy certain songs off a deluxe album that require the whole album to be purchased, will I have to pay for the songs I have from the regular album again?

A long time ago, I bought one of Mumford and Sons' regular albums, and more recently, I bought two bonus songs off their deluxe album. The last song on the deluxe album can only be download with a purchase of the whole album. Will I have to repay for all the songs I already have, just to get the one extra?

Unless the album is included in the "Complete My Album" feature:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1849
then yes, you would pay for those tracks again when you buy the entire album.
    Regards.

  • I just got an 8GB iPod touch, I'm concerned that I will not have enought gigabytes for future music purchases. Is it possible to upgrade to a 32GB without having to pay $300 for a new iPod?

I just got an 8GB iPod touch, I'm concerned that I will not have enough gigabytes for future music purchases, Is it possible to upgrade to a 32GB without having to pay $300 for a new iPod?

Well, obviously you can't walk into the apple store and get them to upgrade your iPod for you for FREE when the 32GB costs at least a 100$ more.
Just stick with the 8GB, don't download rubbish apps.

  • I have lost my install disks, will I have to pay for another set? :o[

Will I have to pay for another set of disks if I have lost mine. I set my computer up after reinstalling it and cant friggin' think where the disks are now. But I want the iLife '08 suite on it now! :o[
Is there a way I can get them for free from apple or will i have to pay? :o[

Well... Apple is certainly under no obligation to cover the cost of the DVDs and shipping because you lost yours... However, they will ship you a new set for a nominal fee. Just give them a call. Be sure to have your serial number handy as the restore media is machine specific.

  • I wiped my MacBook Pro due to a problem, will I have to pay for iMovie or iPhoto that was originally installed on my older MacBook Pro ?

Due to a problem with my older MacBook Pro I had to wipe it clean. Now I no longer have iPhoto or iMovie , will I have to pay for those programs ? If so, are there any older versions available I can download for free.

a brandnew Mac (=aka after a clean isntall), should be registered with an AppleID.
Then, you're entitled to download the pre-installed apps for free from AppStore, just log-in with that Apple-ID...-
