When we change the non-mandatory field in the form, it doesn't get updated

Hi... I have one question here..
If I have non-mandatory fields in a custom form, and when I query the form and change the value in the non-mandatory field and click on save, then it doesn't save. It says 'No Changes to Save'. But, it's not the same for non-mandatory fields.
Can you please suggest me?

If I understand correctly, you have a non-Required item in your form that has an LOV assigned. While this item is Required=No, it works correctly. When you change the Required property of the item to 'Yes' then it fails. When this occurs, do you get an error message? Are you able to select a value from the LOV?
It sounds like the Required=Yes property might be preventing you f rom opening the LOV. Try setting the Module property: Defer Required Enforcement = Yes. This is the typical setting in an EBS form. This is what allows you to navigate out of a Required field if the value is NULL, but will give you a Required message when you attempt to save the record if the value is still NULL.

Groups field in Windows Active Directory doesn't get updated

Hello IDM Experts,
I am trying to append one more group to a few hundred users in AD. When I run the below code, I am not getting any error and at the same time the groups field in AD doesn't seem to get updated either. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Some ideas...
1) Do you have a mapping of the groups attribute in your Sample Domain resource adapter? One element should read similar to:
<AccountAttributeType id='10' name='groups' syntax='string' mapName='groups' mapType='string'/>2) Is the groups attribute already a list? If not (e.g. no groups yet assigned), the append statement might not actually do anything.
3) Your statement below the append doesn't actually do anything. Well, it should not break anything, but who knows.

Problems with the display when I change the view

Hi,
I have recently downloaded th emost up to dat everion of itunes and I have a problem when I change the view. All I get is a black screen down the right hand side where the library details sit. This eventually clears but is **** annoying. It also happened when I had version V7.01 running.
Any ideas?

The icon when i change the volume up or down is no longer the beats logo, it is a simple megaphone.

4. I accidentally deleted IDT Audio, i was trying to get rid of programs that i didnt need, i didnt know this controlled beats.
i noticed that my Beats Audio Control Panel was gone and i searched online and found out i needed to re-download IDT, so i did. Beats Audio Control Panel is now back but when i change the volume up, down, or off, it shows an ugly little megaphone icon and ugly little white bars, instead of the shiny silver beats logo and the silver bars. I hate the new logo with the mega phone how can i get the beats logo back?
i tried a system restore from before i uninstalled IDT but it still has the same problem.

And today it won't even read my camera's sd card, and I try with 2 different ones. If I restart the computer, leaving the memory card in, then it reads it; but if I pull it out and push it back in it doesn't see it. Whath am I doing wrong, if anything?

Where/how are you trying to change the name? If it is in Finder (after you've downloaded the pics to your desktop), highlight the pic icon and press Return. the name field will change and you can type in your new name. Hit Return again. That should make it "stick". If you're trying to do it elsewhere, please post the steps that you've tried.
As for your card: do you eject it properly? Either drag icon to trash or hit the eject symbol in the sidebar?

I want to make a non-mandatory field 'Chart of Accounts' in Logical Database 'SDF' mandatory in my Z program.
Please let me know how this can be done?
I tried defining the select-option in my zprogram but it gives error saying the parameter has already been defined in LDB.

When initially entering a website password FF ASKS "SAVE PW FOR THIS SITE?" I have now CHANGED the website PW, and cannot get FF to "forget" the old PW and then save the new one!

I changed my GMail password the other day. I now have to type it in every time I access my mail as I cannot get Firefox (v.3.6.3) to ask me "Remember PW for this site?" (as it always AUTOMATICALLY does when FIRST entering a website password). Why does FF not automatically offer the "Save PW?" option AGAIN when one CHANGES the access PW of a site previously visited? Can one "force" a password to be remembered?

If the name stays the same and you only need to change (update) the stored password then fill the name in the login form and let Firefox fill the wrong password.
You may have to press the Tab key to fill the password field.
If you replace the wrong password with the new password then Firefox should offer to store the new password.
Use the ''Remember Password'' bookmarklet on websites that use "autocomplete=off" to prevent Firefox from saving passwords.
You can verify that Firefox has stored the new password: Tools > Options > Security: Passwords: "Saved Passwords" > "Show Passwords"
If that didn't work then remove that name and password and Firefox should offer to save the new password on the next visit or if you refresh the login page.

Why is it that when I change the contacts on my phone, it changes them on my mom and dad's as well?

My family and I recently got iPhones for Christmas. One for my dad, one for my mom, and one for me. We also have an iPad 2. They are all hooked up to iCloud via one username. When we got the phones, we had trouble transferring our contacts from our old verizon phones to our new apple ones but we eventually got the contacts we needed. At first, my mom's phone was not connected to the iCloud account shared by the rest of us and the iPad. She wanted the calendar from the iPad so I deleted the account on her phone and added the iCloud account that the iPad was using. All was fine until my dad and I realized that our contacts were wiped from our phones and replaced with my mom's. I then started painstakingly deleted my moms contacts and replacing them on my own on my phone. However, contacts were being deleted from my mom and dad's phone at the same time. It's almost like the three phones are constantly synching with each other. It would be ideal if we could get all of our contacts back the way they were before my mom changed her account but we would settle for this constant synching to stop. Please give us some direction here, we are new to this. Thanks in advance!

Because, as you said "They are all hooked up to iCloud via one username. ". That is exactly what iCloud does.
You need independent iCloud accounts for each person to maintain independent contact lists.

TV goes black when i change the channel?

On my Toshiba LCD TV quite frequently (at least once a night) the screen will go black when I change the channel (via cable box) or if I change the input. I then have to turn the TV off then back on to get the picture back.

I have the same problem and it is frustrating. I called the cable company who told me to unplug everything from the wall for 1 minute and the plugit back in. "Duh" Unfortunately I had to do this every few hours. I called them back an they performed a reset from their end. It has worked fine ever since.

Essentially, the bare issue is that you have a 500GB hard drive with only 10GB free. That is not sufficient to run the system properly. The two options you have are to move/remove files to another location, or to install a larger hard drive (eg 2TB). Drive space has nothing to do with SMC firmware, and usually large media files are to blame.
My first recommendation is this: download and run the free OmniDiskSweeper. This will identify the exact size of all your folders - you can drill down into the subfolders and figure out where your largest culprits are. For example, you might find that your Pictures folder contains both an iPhoto Library and copies that you've brought in from a camera but are outside the iPhoto Library structure. Or perhaps you have a lot of purchased video content in iTunes.
If you find files that you KNOW you do not need, you can delete them. Don't delete them just because you have a backup, since if the backup fails, you will lose all your copies.
Don't worry about "cleaners" for now - they don't save much space and can actually cause problems. Deal with the large file situation first and see how you get on.
Let us know what you find out, and if you manage to get your space back.
