Where did my migrated files go

I followed the instructions to migrate files from my PC to a Mac.  I am a first time user of Mac and cannot locate the files.  I migrated "my documents" some music and email.

Log out and then into the newly created user account, or open the Users folder on the internal drive, drag that account's home folder to the desktop, and provide your administrator password.

  • HT2518 Where did my migrated files go?

I have just bought a Mac and have never really used one before. I migrated my files from my PC to my MacBook Pro overnight as it was going to be migrating over 50GB. It said it was successful, however I can't find anything that migrated, where is it and how can i find it? i have loked all through my finder and cannot think of where it went. My hard drive has 74gb on it so it must have transferred as this is a brand new Mac and I wouldn't have thought that it would have 74gb on it already, however I didn't look at this before doing the migration so I don't know how much was on it before migration. My PC has windows 7 on it if that helps. Can anybody help me please??

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
Migration Assistant creates a new user with the migrated data. Go to  > Log Out, log in with your new user and you will be able to access to your migrated data. To transfer them to the main user > https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-5472

  • Where did my synced files go? I synced them on the tablet, now I want to get them on my PC

Where did my synced files go? I synced them on the tablet, now I want to get them on my PC
    How do I access them?

    Via Creative Cloud.
One caveat: If you want to work with PS Touch's native file format (which is PSDX), you'll have to have Photoshop CC (or CS) and the PSDX plug-in.
Another option would be to export any projects as the PSD file format and open those in Photoshop or Photoshop Elements. If you import these back into PS Touch, note that PSD files will be automatically flattened.

  • HT4796 where are the migrated files located on my mac? i can't find them!

I am migrating from my PC to new Macbook Pro using Windows Migration Assistant.  I can't locate my files on my Mac; not in photos or music or documents!  Please help!

Thank you!  I did not know where to find the migrated files either.  I had lots of user folders to look through but finally found the one with my Pc data in it.  Dragging it to the desktop enabled me to access my files and drag them into my Mac Folders.

  • Where did deleted iPod files go?

Hi there! Any and all help with this issue I recently stumbled upon would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
I purchased my first iPod in February thinking that it would hold all of the music from my CDs. After uploading them, it did not. So, I deleted some music and decided to keep those files in a separate personal file folder so that one day, when iPod comes out with an even higher memory iPod, I could upload the songs that I deleted. Now, when I just looked in that file folder, all of my files are GONE! Where did they go?
I just want to be able to keep track of the files I delete so that I can one day upload them.
    Thanks again!
    Sincerely,
    Dan

Anyone able to help? I would really appreciate it! Thanks!

  • Where did my Aperture files go?

    Hello everyone,
About a month ago I saved my photos by creating a vault. Fine. Since then I have deleted some of those original photos and have added many others. Fine. Today, I realized I deleted some images that I needed that I know were in the vault. So, I decided to restore my library. I did this ONLy because in the warning pop up it says that the photos in my existing library will be PRESERVED but will not be merged with the restored images. Ok, fine too. So I did this and now the only files I see were the original ones that I first saved a month ago and EVERYTHING else is GONE. Where did they all go? I am about to cry because I think they might have been deleted, but why did the prompt tell me that my files will be preserved? I cant find them anywhere. Am I missing something or did I really screw up? I really appreciate your help. Im pretty new to this. Thank you in advance for your help. Cheers.

See if they are in the Library Package. Go to the Library Package in the Finder. It will be in the Pictures folder unless you chose a location other than the default.
control/right click the Package and choose show package contents. Once inside you'll find your Projects which are also Package files so you'll have to control/right click again to see the contents.
Maybe your pictures are there. It's very important that you don't move or rename anything inside the Library Package. Just find out if they are there for now.

  • Where did the .DOCX file go

I requested a photo of a jobsite from a client. They sent it in a DOCX format (a picture??) My Torch 9800 saved it to Media card, but I can't find it. I looked in Word and everywhere. No luck. Any ideas?

That's a silly way to send a photo, but i happens. A '.docx' file is a Microsoft World Office Open XML file format, in which your client must have pasted the picture into a MS Word file.
Obviously, I don't know where you saved the file on your Media Card, but if you go to your Media icon > menu key > Explore, you can search the entire media card for it, look in all folders, or look for a DocumentsToGo folder, also.
If all fails, can you just open the original email again, view and save again and you should be asked where to save the document.

  • HT4796 I completed a migration of my music and photos from a PC to my new mac.  I have an error in music library that it can't find original files.  Photos migrated fine.  Where did the original files go?

I completed the migration of my music an dphotos files from a PC to my new imac.  Both transferred initally and I even synced my ipad with the imac thereby transferring most of the music to my ipad.  However now itunes says the music isn't available because it can't find the original music files.  How can i find the original files? I am getting the same error on my pc too.

They aren't in your user Music folder? Have You tried Spotlight?

  • Where did my desktop files go?

I had some files that I use a lot on my desktop in snow leopard that disappeared when I upgraded to lion. One of them I really need but can't find it. Any ideas where to start looking?

Did you have any kind of backup?  If not try navigating to the desktop via the Finder menu Go>Desktop it has happened to me that this way I can see my files.  I personally don't have this problem in lion but you can try these options.
Hope you get your files back.

fig4latex README wrote:In a large project one would typically place the .fig files in a seperate

.eps (or .pdf) files which contain the graphic.
Perhaps you accidentally ran the fig4latex script and it created the Makefile.

  • Where did my imovie files go

when I opened imovie a window came out to upgrade to imovie08 so i did and after I upgraded and opened the new version I now can not open my imovie files from the previous imovie version....Did I lose my files? I see them in my movies folder but they only open with quickplayer/time....Please help

Thank you very much! Now I have another question...I just bought a Sony camcorder HD SR11...via email through BestBuy and I was told that I would not be able to import my movies to my IMac because Sony's software does not support Mac so they told me to buy Adobe Premier Elements 4.....so I did..I have not tried it yet because I have not received the camera yet but I do not want to open it and pay a restocking fee if it is not going to work.....Is it going to work or should I just exchange the camcorder for another one that is compatible with Mac...and if so any brands I should keep in mind??????

  • Where did my log files go?

I just installed OAS, and deployed a small web application (JSP and Servlets). The app is working fine with a couple of exceptions. I went to check the log files to see what went wrong, and couldn't find them.
I realize there are several components of the server, each of which having their own log files. After searching for a few minutes, I did a search through the entire ORACLE_HOME directory looking for files containing text which should have appeared in the log files. I was unable to find any such log files.
Do I have to enable logging? Point it to a certain file? Am I just not looking in the right place? Any help would be appreciated; I'm a bit lost.
When deploying and running the application in Tomcat, the logging is stored in the 'logs' directory, just as you would expect. So I know that the logging is working; I just can't seem to find it when the app is running in OAS.
    Thanks,
    -Dave

You may be looking for the stdout/stderr process output.
Almost all components in Oracle Application Server 10g
(9.0.4) are managed (at the process level) by OPMN. To
preserve the stdout and stderr of every process, all
processes started by OPMN have their stdout/stderr
redirected to a file (one file for each running process).
This file is sometimes referred to as the "console log".
Console logs are located in $OH/opmn/logs and have a
filenames containing '~' chars. Identifying which
console log file is associated with which process
    should be intuitive.
When a process terminates and is replaced by a new
process, console log output from the previous process is
preserved and the replacement process appends to the
end of the console log file.

  • Where did "attach large file" go?

That was in yahoo all new mail, in the list of applications on the left area; gone.
Can it be there on and off? odd.
Also, I have purchased stuffit destinations and dragged a folder of 5 pictures just
under 100 MG each, into the zip application, (in stuffit itself) the one with the
envelope on an orange background,"attach a zip archive to an email".
That brings about a mail window, where you can write a message and everything looks ok, but when you click send, it puffs away and you don't find it in sent or
    anywhere.
I should write to the stuffit forum, phone doesn't work from europe, thanks,
