Where is Excel TDM add-in?

In the Storage VI documentation, it states that a TDM file opener Excel add-in can be downloaded from the DIAdem webpage.
I can't find it on the download pages. Anyone know where it is?
Thanks.

Dear JohnHopkins,
Right now the Excel TDM Add-in is in a Beta state, but you’re a welcome to try it out. I am going to post a zip file that contains this add-in along with the ReadMe file that contains important information that you need to read. Anyway, since it’s in a Beta version, you could possibly run into issues, but that is just part of Betas. The full version will be released in the near future.
Hope this helps!

  • Excel tdms add in not showing data in spreadsheet

I've succesfully installed the Excel TDM Add In on several computers.
The latest computer I tried to set up lets you select a TDMS file to import but the channel data does not appear. I've uninstalled and reinstalled several times with no luck. There are two example files attached. One from a successful import and another that is missing the data. Both files used the same source TDMS file which is also attached.
It is running Windows 7 64-bit with MS Office 2010 - no different from the computers that the add in works on.
Any idea what could be wrong?

What you forgot to mention is what process did you do to import the one that worked, and the one that didn't work?
    Was it the same process?
All I did was double click the TDMS file.  By default it will open it with the TDMS Importer and open it in Excel.  For me the import was fine and I had all the data that your Successful version did.
If you are interested in automating this feel free to try out my importer utility.

It relies on the TDMS Excel add-in but it allows for other formatting, and freezing rows/columns in the data as well as providing an alternative summary page.

  • TDMS Add-in for Excel stopped working

    Hi-
I have the TDMS Add-In installed for Excel and it was working fine, until I installed LV 8.6 (not sure if that's what did it, but that's the only change made to the machine..) Once LV 8.6 was installed the TDMS Add-In started showing up in the "National Instruments Software" section of Add/Remove Programs whereas it was "Excel TDM Add-in" prior.
The behaviour is that the Toolbar buttons show, but when you press them nothing happens.
I've tried un-installing TDMS Add-In from Windows CP, that removed the toolbar from Excel, but re-installing the TDMS Add-In doesn't fix it (buttons still do nothing).

    Hi,
I was looking through the posts, and thought this was rather interesting - I have seen/delt with customers using this in LabVIEW 8.6. They've never reported any issues.
I would agree with michelle, with the questions.
I am aware that labVIEW 8.6 and the Report Generation Toolkit needed to be upgraded to 1.1.3 and only works for new versions of Office (which caught customers out), could it be, that your using an older version of Excel...
However, when Im back in the office tomorrow - I will try out the toolkit with LabVIEW 8.6 - as I am yet to try it out.
    Please respond with more information.

  • Where are Excel Add-in options saved ?

    Hi,
Please, could anyone tell me where are Excel Add-in options saved for each worksheet ?
In the Excel file ? Registry ? File system ?
    Regards

I think Sean might be right about the last value, but they are also stored with the woorkbook as a named range. If you go to insert->name->define you should see a series of named ranfes starting with ess, I don't have excel opened in from of me, but I think one of them is essoptions. It has a string of numbersand strings following it. Each position reflects one of the options. it looks something like A2100000000010101000001100020_0000

  • Microsoft Excel 2013 add-in not working after update

I have originally posted this question at answers.microsoft.com and have been re-directed to post here. (http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office_2013_release-excel/microsoft-excel-2013-add-in-not-working-after/298aff03-c90a-4a2a-b67b-07b6f3c7648c)
We are an organization with over 200 users and are currently using Microsoft Office 2013 (Click-to-run install via Office 365 portal), we have noticed that in Excel when we apply the monthly Office update, the add-in (e.g. Analysis Toolpak) would stop working
with the following error message displayed.
    I tried updating from 15.0.4631.1004 to 15.0.4641.1003,
15.0.4641.1003 to 15.0.4649.1004, they all gave the same results.
I have checked the captioned file path and it is indeed missing, I think the update mechanism messed up the add-in somehow, a full re-install would fix it as quick or online repair is not doing the trick.  This is not the only add-in it is affecting
as there are some 3rd party add-ins are affected as well.
Please advise how we can fix this without needing to re-install Microsoft Office.  Thank you!

I don't have 365 or C2R so I can't address your main question, so just a few thoughts which may not be applicable in your setup.
Check the addin manager to see if your addins are listed and ticked. If listed (ticked or not) check the registry to see where the location is written, if ticked look here
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Excel\Options
and look for keys named OPENx, where x is the order number the addin is loaded
if not "ticked" instead of \Options look in \Add-in-Manager
With a VBA macro or in the VBE's immediate window return
    Application.LibraryPath
Assuming you found a listing in the registry do the paths match, if not look in the .LibraryPath to see if the addins got unloaded there into the subfolder \Analysis
If you find the file(s) try un-installing and reinstalling the addins, but browse to the actual folder don't simply tick. If you can't find the files, copy them (from a different system) to the folder indicated by .LibraryPath. In the addin manager uninstall
them if installed, close the manager, open it again and the addins should be listed, tick to re-install.
You say your other addins don't work, I wonder if some mixup has occurred with what Excel thinks is the default path, but note for other addins the default addins path is returned by app.UserLibraryPath
Are you using a Chinese system?

  • Exporting SharePoint List to Excel it adds special / weird characters

It's probably an escape code but they're not uniform.  When exporting a SharePoint List to Excel there is one column that is a multi-select lookup column and upon export between each item in that column there are a few special characters.  #68 and #70 in particular I see quite a lot of.  What are these escape codes and what would be a good way of filtering them out so they don't end up on the export?

    Hi Bouhatsu and Rob,
I'm having the same thing with a filtered lookup. When exporting the list to Excel it adds the ID from the other list in front of the value I want (without me asking for it ...).
Did one of you found a solution to get these ID's out of the export?

  • Excel VBA add-in to create a PDF: What is acrodistdll.dll?

My Excel VBA add-in prints an Excel sheet with a list of drawing numbers, then prints all the drawings (it communicates with a CAD and a CAM application via COM). Then it repeats the cycle many times, with different list of drawings. At the end I have hundreds or thousands of paper sheets.
I want to create a PDF file instead of wasting that much paper, so I explored the Adobe objects available in my computer and I found out that adding a reference in the VBA project to Acrobat.dll and to acrodistdll.dll I could use the PdfDistiller to convert PostScript files to PDF and the Acrobat.CAcroApp, Acrobat.CAcroPDDoc and Acrobat.CAcroPDDoc objects to merge many PDF files into one large PDF file. Then I use the external tool pdftk to create the bookmarks.
Everything works well on my computer, but when I try to use the Excel add-in on another computer the references are missing.
I don't know what was installed on my computer. The IT department said that some of our computers have no Adobe products, some have only free Adobe products, and some have some products that we purchased. But they don't know what purchased or free products were installed on my computer.
    So my questions are:
Are the above mentioned DLLs the correct tool to achieve my goal?
If no, what is the best way?
If yes, how do I install them on the other computers? Are they part of some free product or are they part of a product that I need to purchase?
    Thanks,
    Stefano

As Mr. Olaf Helper said all you have to do is add Analysis Service as a new one on your existing instance here is what you have to do if you are new for this
1-Click on Start on your computer >>>All Programs>>>Click on Microsoft SQL Server 2008  >>>Configuration Tools>>>SQL Server Installation
    Center
2-  Click on New Installation or Add Feature to an Existing Installation as shown below
and then click on Analysis Service as shown on here
and then from this follow the installation wizard and you should be able to install it.
I hope this elaborate more for your installation problem and goodluck

I started to do the latest update to iOS7 in my iPad mini and it froze the screen at the area Apple ID security where it asks for "Add Security Question".  I press the next icon, and nothing happens.  The screen is frozen there and I can't get out.  I can go no further forward nor can I be back.  It's just stuck.  This has rendered my mini iPad useless.  What can I do?

If I need to back-up every hour of my life in order to be able to save everything from something like this I won´t do anything else.....at least we should be able to trust that Apple tests this updates so situations like this won´t happen.
That's exactly what Time Machine does for you.  It backs up every hour, so you don't have to.  While it is backing up, you keep on working.  Time Macvhine came with your Mac and you chose not to use it.
The 10.7.4 update did not cause your hard disk to fail.  Hard disk fail due to mechanical causes.  They are extremely reliable, but that doesn't mean every hard disk will last a long time.  Your mileage WILL vary!
If you are dependent on your computer and the data stored on it, then you should make sure you have AT LEAST two copies of all data and probably three or four.  You should use at least two means of backing up in case the backup software has a problem.  And you should consider having a backup computer if you live in an area where replacement takes too long (whatever too long is for your business).
Apple hardware and software is very, very good.  You have documented your experience of this.  But NO hardware or software is perfect.  You also have experience of this.
It is YOUR responsibility to ensure that your system is set up to protect your data and availability of computing resources.

  • Where does flash store Add-ins

    Boils down to:
          Where does Flash Store Add-ins?
Why do I need to know this?
I want to try something, theres a .deb for adobe connect addin, inside, a compiled binary, I want to try and see if I can throw that binary at flash as an addin and see if it'll work. I realize only Ubuntu is supported, but I've had this work with other things from Ubunto.
OS: A variation on Thinstation, linux for short
    Flash Version: 10.1
    Browser: Firefox

    The data are in:
    C:\Documents and Settings\{yourname}\Data aplikací\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects\
where Data aplikací means something like application data or something like that in english.
I'm not sure if you can change that location. Maybe by hacking in registries.

  • Error with TDM add-in using COM automation ImportFile

The importer works fine within Excel. However, when using automation from within LabVIEW I keep getting error "-2147417851" on the output of method "ImportFile".
    Code snippet below.
    The PC I'm using has...
    OS = Windows 7
Excel 2010, all latest service packs and Office updates.
    LabVIEW 2009
    TDM for Excel Add-In v.3.5.1
The exact same calls work on another computer with the following:
    OS = Windows XP
Excel 2007, all latest service packs and Office updates.
    LabVIEW 2009
    TDM for Excel Add-In v.3.5.1
Can't seem to find any docs or reason for it not to work. The libraries show up as registered from the dropdowns. The Importer works from within Excel. I've rebooted updated and reinstalled and rebooted what feels like a million times already. What am I missing here? Any ideas?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Mavis: Thank you not only for a meaningful reply , but the actual solution!
A small detail: I found that I could not disconnect right away or I'd get another error - waiting to disconnect until after I had a chance to save the file ensured that it was fully loaded.
Is this documented somewhere? The VBA code example on this page http://www.ni.com/white-paper/10207/en/rating/2 shows the call to connect, but there doestn' see m to be any doc on the method.
Also, this solution begs the question: how did the code with the earlier version of the add-in work correctly without specifically calling 'connect' first? I'm sure someone will say it doesnt' matter, but that's what threw me for a loop all along;  it might very well matter to the next person that runs into the same problem. Worked in Case A, how is Case B different?
    Thanks again, Mav.

  • Excel 2010 add-in mystery!

    Good morning!
My IT colleagues and I have been trying to fix a very, very annoying issue for the past three days and haven't made any progress. We can't get the "Solver" add-in to show up in the data tab... NO MATTER what.
We are a DOD environment, so we have strict GP rules. These GP rules were of course blocking all add-ins via trust center, but we made a new GPO for our test OU that is wide open and put a brand new client in that OU.
Previously, excel would notify the user that the add-in has been blocked. Now, on the test machine, when we proceed to install solver, it completes without any warning or notification... but doesn't show up any where. It does, however, show up in the add
    in section as "active plug-ins"/
    other things we've done:
    reinstalled office 2010
reinstalled the add in (via add/remove windows features, office 2010, etc)
    verified all updates are applied
verified registry keys for solver are pointing to correct location
    verified ribbon settings...
has anyone ever experienced this? any help is really appreciated!

In general, the solver add-in can been seen in the Data section of the ribbon. If it cannot be viewed even we manually install it, this might be the problem that we have not installed 'Visual Basic for Applications' before, when I installed Office
    2010.
VBA is in Office Shared Features group.
Just find the Office 2010 suite from Control Panel, select 'Add or Remove Features' and then VBA.
Should be Office Shared Features > Visual Basic for Applications (MAKE SURE THIS IS SET TO "RUN FROM MY COMPUTER"
After that Solver and Data analysis can be installed in Excel.
