Where is "Firefox Button"?

I'm using a MacBook. The colored "Firefox Button" in the video does not appear on the page I am looking at. If he's refering to the "Firefox Button" on the application menu bar, the pull down for that button has none of the choices shown on the video. Please explain.

'''Edit: Actually, that button appears on Windows and Linux. Not yet on MacOS in Firefox 4.'''

During installation, the installer may preserve your "classic" menu and toolbar setup if you customized them. To change from the classic menu bar to the orange Firebox button, use
View > Toolbars > Menu Bar (''uncheck it'')

I am trying to automatically clear my browser history, but I have no idea where the Firefox button is.

Do you have the menu bar with names like File and Edit visible?
You get the orange Firefox menu button if the menu bar is hidden.

Only button that looks like anything for firefox allows me to restore, move, size, minimize, maximize, and close. That button is top left hand corner location.

I recently purchased a second hand new macbook air, although it was second hand to me the previous owner had never actually turned it on.
Something doesn't make sense here, though I'm not saying the previous owner is lying....

Where is the "firefox button" that is used to change tab location ("click on the Firefox button, go over to the Options... arrow and uncheck Tabs on Top. ") (from article).
The "Tools" menu has an "Options" selection, but I cannot find in any of those menus a selection controlling the location of the tabs. Where is the "Firefox Button" referred to in the article "Why are tabs on Top?"

If you turn on the classic menu bar, that replaces the orange Firefox button. To get the Firefox button back, right-click the menu bar to display the toolbars list, and uncheck Menu Bar.
You can always temporarily display the classic menu bar by tapping the Alt key or pressing F10.
The toolbar list pop-up also lets you control Tabs on Top.

• Why doesn't my Firefox 4.0 Beta 3 Look like the beta 1 in the video? Like, where is the yellow firefox button?

Ok, so i've been looking froward to the new beta, and i always wanted the yellow Firefox button and the smart download section, instead of the old pop-up one witch is annoying by the way.
I'm currently using the Firefox 4.0 Beta 3.
And the only thing that is changed is that the taps on the top..
but it's not see through or anything like in the preview videos.
Please help!

Some of the new things are not shown by default in XP but easily established.
Right click on a toolbar space and
* Uncheck the Menu Bar; this will hide the Menu Bar and show the orange Firefox Button in the top left hand corner. You can toggle from one to the other.
* Check Tabs on Top. This will move the Tab Bar above the Navigation Bar - remember you are not showing the Menu Bar. I must admit that I prefer tabs in their traditional place where they are nearer the web page action.
For moved and combined buttons this will help -

• I can't see "the firefox button" - where is it???

In the starting-up info website, there is an orange firefox button in the top left space of the browser, but on my browser there is none - from this button you can do a lot of the cool things on firefox, but why don't I have it? Is there a way I can add it? Did my browser upload wrong??? Please help.

The Firefox button is a cut down version of the menus. Though you do not have the new interface, you will still have the other new features of Firefox 4.

• I dont have a firefox button (firefox 4 new feature) where all the menu is, where can i find it?

i just upgraded to firefox 4 in windows xp, i noticed a new feature (firefox button) on the top left that is supposed to contain all the menu items, but i don't have it, the menu bar is just the same.

The new interface is only default on Windows Vista and Windows 7. To get it on Windows XP you need to hide the menu bar. To do that in the View menu select Toolbars, then click on the "Menu Bar" entry.
If you need access to the menus you can press either Alt or F10 to temporarily display them.

• Where is the 'firefox button'?

I've just updated ver.4, and i can't fine the 'firefox button', but there's only original menu on the top of the browser. How can i install 'firefox button', or fine it in somewhere?

• Where is the "Firefox Button" that is referenced on the support pages?

Support site refers to a "Firefox Button". I don't see it. Am I missing something obvious?

You only see the orange (on Linux gray) Firefox button if the Menu Bar is hidden (View > Toolbars > Customize or right-click a toolbar).
If you need to access the hidden Menu bar then press the Alt key or the F10 key to make the Menu Bar appear temporarily.

• Where does firefox cache the form parameters to be used in the reload event of a page that was the resposne of a HTTP POST request?

Suppose there is form in a web page and it submits data in HTTP POST method. After submitting the form, if I reload the page [either by the refresh button or back button; whichever applicable], firefox asks permission to resend the form data by saying "To display this page, Firefox must send information that will repeat any action...". Now if the user clicks on the resend, firefox resubmits the form data.
So where does firefox store this from data for such future resending/resubmission?
Is it possible to retrieve/manipulate those stored form data?

I thought I'd tried that, as tried lots of other things like encoding URL, but obviously not as this works.
Thanks for the quick reply.

• I am unable to find the Firefox button referred to in the following: At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Firefox button and then select Options

Every instruction Mozilla offers to find or to do something contains a term or a phrase that is indeciphrable.
I have been trying to change "Cookie Settings" so of course Mozilla advises me to click the Mozilla button at the top of the page. And of course there is no Mozilla button at the top of the page. Then after wading through Mozilla's arcane and moronic help sections I end up at the following:
Display the Firefox button menu instead of the menu toolbar.
Why don't I see it? (the Firefox button)
Apparently the Firefox button is a new feature added in Firefox 4 to replace the Menu Bar. The menu bar is displayed instead of the Firefox button to make Firefox look like other Windows XP programs. Windows XP? Are you kidding me? Windows XP. Earth to Mozilla: Have you heard of Windows 8 or Windows 8.1?
Then your instructions go on to refer to Windows Vista and Windows 7. JFC!
Then, under "How to get it?" Mozilla offers the following gem:
Right click on an empty section of the "Tab Strip" and uncheck "Menu Bar" om the pop-up menu.
WHAT IS A TAB STRIP; and WHERE IS THE TAB STRIP? Again, JFC!
Since these instructions refer to Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7, apparently these instructions haven't been upgraded for more than 2 years. No wonder Mozilla is a non-profit organization. There is no way that this organization could ever be profitable under any other structure.

• I don't see the new "firefox button" and i can't see the bookmark button (with the drop down option) unless I'm in the customize toolbar view. How can I fix these?

I am using Firefox 4.0 on Windows XP home, Service pack 3. I am trying to use some of the new features of Firefox 4.0 that I see on the Firefox feature page (http://mzl.la/gCFDjj) and am not having much luck. First off in the Firefox Button. It is supposed to contain all your menu items but it is not appearing on my screen. Is this a feature that only works in Vista or Windows 7?
Second, I am trying to use the Bookmarks Button (the one that has the drop down menu) but it doesn't appear in my toolbar unless I right click the tool bar and choose "customize". The button shows up in this view already in the toolbar, as if it is hidden in normal use and no matter where I move it to, once I hit the "done" button in the customize window the Bookmarks Button gets hidden/covered up again.
Third, I see the new "App Tabs" feature but I can't seem to find an option for this in the preferences for Firefox, if it's even supported by my browser/OS at all.
Can anyone tell me how to use/activate these features or if I am even able to using Windows XP?

You see the orange (on Linux gray) Firefox button if the Menu Bar is hidden (View > Toolbars > Customize or right-click a toolbar).
If you need to access the hidden Menu bar then press F10 or hold down the Alt key to make the Menu Bar appear temporarily.
You only see the Bookmarks menu button if the Menu bar is hidden.
