Where is the file sharing option in ITunes?

I got the Adobe Reader already and need to know how to import a PDF file to my iPad besides email it to the ipad?

Connect iPad to iTune (computer) and use File Shaing to transfer files.

  • Where is the "File Sahring" option in iTunes

    Hi,
I have an iPhone 3G, I just updated to iOS4. Now I'm looking for the option file sharing in iTunes 9.2.0, wich allows to transfer some files between the computer and the iPhone.
I looked in the help to find a soulution and I found this:
To transfer files from your iPod touch, iPhone, or iPad to your computer:
"Connect your device to your computer.
In iTunes, select your iPod touch, iPhone, or iPad (below Devices), and then click the Apps tab.
Below File Sharing, from the list on the left, select the application on your device that you want to transfer files from."
I can't see any "File Sharing" on the Apps tab.
Can you help me? what don't I understand?
    thank you

I too am looking for this mysterious "File Sharing" pane. I have iBooks, GoodReader, Dropbox. It still doesn't appear. Will it only show up if you have updated file sharing apps? Which ones are they?

    1. Touchez Remote sur l’écran d’accueil de votre appareil.
    2. Touchez Ajouter une bibliothèque iTunes.Un code à 4 chiffres apparaît.

  • HT1848 Where is the "transfer purchases" option in iTunes for Windows 8.1 (desktop)?

This article says I should use the "File Menu" on my PC's iTunes application. Unfortunately, no one revised these instructions after someone else redesigned the interface.

Thanks for your response, but I'm not finding any option like that, either.
Here's a little more detail on the context of my specific problem:
This morning, for no apparent reason, my 4 month old iPad Air decided it would not turn on. I plugged it into my PC and iTunes was able to access its contents, or at least some of it; it's not really clear.
One of the options for dealing with this situation, according to the Apple support page I read, is to have iTunes reset the iPad, which is misleadingly called "Restore iPad ...". (Evidently, this condition is common enough that there is a separate page for dealing with it.)
After backing up the iPad to my computer using iTunes, I started the so-called "Restore" process, only to be told that "There are purchased items on the iPad ... that have not been transferred to your iTunes library. If you restore this iPad, these items will be erased and you will have to purchase them again. Are you sure you want to continue?"
Naturally, this message does not give me an option button to "transfer" the purchased items to my "iTunes library"; in fact, the message does not even give the slightest hint as to how such as "transfer" might be accomplished. It also does not give any clue as to what has not been "transferred to [my] iTunes library."
So far as I can tell, the only thing that I have purchased that has not been downloaded to my computer are my iPad apps. Do I have to download those to my computer? That seems idiotic, but, then again, I am new to the Appleverse and am not familiar with its arcane and recondite ways. All that I had ever heard was that Apple stuff was supposed to be intuitive and easy to use. This seems to be the exact opposite.

  • IMovie: Saving as movie to iTunes it says your file will be saved in the File Sharing section of iTunes.

Can't find this section anywhere in iTunes

Connect your device to iTunes, select it in the left-hand colum, select the Apps tab, scroll down to File Sharing, select the app in question, in this case iMovie. Your file will be in the panel to the right.

  • HT2905 Where is the Display Duplicates option in iTunes 11?

I just downloaded iTunes 11 and notice that the "display duplicates" option is not available in the Music Library.  Why?

Two Windows scripts to make playlists of Duplicates and Exact Duplicates. Use shift-delete to remove selected tracks from the library as well as the playlist.
There is also my DeDuper script if you don't want to do it by hand. Please take note of the warning to backup your library before deduping. See this thread for background.

  • Where is the "Transfer Purchases" option in iTunes 11?

I'm having some trouble in finding the "transfer purchases" button/option in iTunes 11. Could someone please help me? Thank you

I found out that when I'm clicking on "Check for Update" (Under summary) it's transfer my purcheses
(might related to the fact that I enabled under my iPhone that it will automatically download my apps - but I'm not sure).
