Where the table is stored.,temp tablespace is not freed .

I have created one table in oracle 8.1.7 containing 500 mega records .
my question is
1. where the table is stored as the size of users.dbf is just 20 mb and is used upto only 2 MB.
so it must not be there.
2. the size of tools.dbf in tools tablespce is somewhere around 13GB. is it there?
if yes then why?
3. also the size of temp01.dbf+temp02.dbf + temp03.dbf in temp table space is somewhere around 14 gb and it is going on increasing. say when i give command to create index it after running for some 8 hrs gives error that disk space is full . when i again run he command after adding more file and space the command runs but the space earlier utilised in temp is not released .
i have tried restrating the oracle service . but it does not release the space utilised by temp.Also the table space is temp not permanent.
IMP.
4. can i manually delete the data files in temp.
will it affect my database????

               thanks for your anshwer. But, If it is just text we can read using READ_TEXT, but i need to check whehter is attachment is created for a specific PR or not. Any input on the table name, where the attachments are stored..

Your tables are always stored in Tablespaces, if you omit the tablespace clause in your create table statement, they will go to your default tablespace.
You can find this tablespace using
select default_tablespace from dba_users where username='your username';
using this tablespace name you can find out the datafiles of that tablespace using
select file_name from dba_data_files where tablespace_name='the tablespace_name from above';
Then you would know where your tables are stored.

I have just upgraded from CS 6 (Dreamweaver) and now when I click on a picture on a web page in Dreamweaver it doesn't go to the folder where the photo is stored anymore. If this continues I'll have to go back to CS 6 as I have to put in alot of photos.

To find tables for any infoprvider go to SE11.
In database table field enter the following
Cube -
Has fact table and dimension table
For customized cube - ie cube names not starting with ' 0 '
Uncompressed Fact table - /BIC/F<infocubename>
Compressed fact table - /BIC/E<infocubename>
Dimension table - /BIC/D<infocubename>
For standard cube - ie cube names starting with ' 0 '
Uncompressed Fact table - /BI0/F<infocubename>
Compressed fact table - /BI0/E<infocubename>
Dimension table - /BI0/D<infocubename>
Click on display.
For DSO,
For standard DSO active table- /BI0/A<DSO name>00.
You use 40 for new table.
Click on display.
For customized DSO use- /BIC/A<DSO name>00.
An easier way is in the database table field, write the name of the cube/DSO preceeded and followed by ' * ' sign. Then press F4 . It shall give you the names of the available table for that info provider.
Double click on the name and choose display.

In Inventory Management you define where the material is stored, in the material master data.
However, I need to know if is possible decided at the time of good receipt, where the material will store.

where the servlet information stored if I overriding the function getServletInfo? I am using Tomcat 4.1.12

It is stored in the servlet instance as a String variable. getServletInfo by default returns an empty String. When you over ride the method all of the information is stored in the servlet just like any other variable data.

i am getting following error, while taking RMAN backup.
ORA-01580: error creating control backup file /backup/snapcf_TST.f

DB Version:10.2.0.4.0
while taking datafiles i am not getting any errors , i am using same mount points for both (data&control files)

I have edited fstab in the way that the Doc 781349.1 suggests. I have unmounted the mount point and remounted. Themount is set up this way:
/backup/PROD on /backup/PROD type nfs (rw,bg,hard,rsize=32768,wsize=32768,nfsvers=3,nointr,timeo=600,proto=tcp,addr=172.16.2.92)
I have checked fstab and it has write permissions for the oracle user with which I run the duplicate command.
I am able to browse, and create files on the /backup/PROD area.

It is my understanding that the NFS mouting options necessary to support Oracle vary based on the hardware/OS in use.
I have the following recored for a NetApp appliance
hard,bg,rw,vers=3,proto=tcp,intr,rsize=32768,wsize=32768,forcedirectio
and this for a Linux Client
rw,bg,hard,nointr,tcp,vers=3,timeo=300,rsize=32768,wsize=32768,actimeo=0
I suggest your review your platform specific documentationa and any record you have from the origonal set up.
You might just want to open a SR where you provide the specific hardware info and see if support can help after making another search for documents of interest.

I deployed 2 hyper v vitual machines a while ago, and i did that because I needed to test my current game Project, which is an
online game. However, i've had some problems with my Windows installation then I had to reset the pc by making it a refresh
install. I still have the hyper v virtual disks, but i cannot attach it to a new hyper-v virtual machine. it pops up this message:

where the virtual hard disk is located does not support virtual disk sharing". I dont know anything about virtual machines, so I
didnt know I had to make the disk sharable. How can I force to attach the hard disk to a new hyper-v? I dont want to go t
hrough the whole proccess of installing the operating system all over again and updating it....

According to the error message , it seems that it is not a permission issue .
The VM is Gen 1 or Gen2 ?
Generally the error message occurs when you enable "shared vhdx" on standalone/client hyper-v host :
Please try to attach the VHDx file to IDE controller if it is a Gen 1 virtual machine (because only the SCSI controller has the option "virtual hard disk sharing" and Gen 1 VM only can boot from IDE )
All in all , please do not use this feature without CSV or Scale-Out File Server with SMB 3.0 on file-based storage .
If it is not the case , please detail steps what you did .

I am attempting to create new virtual machines in Hyper-V on Windows 10 Enterprise Tech. Preview and I am continually getting the error "The storage where the virtual hard disk is located does not support virtual hard disk sharing.". I am not trying
to setup a shared VM or VHD, just a basic VHD.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to resolve this issue?

This issue is listed in the release notes and currently there is no fix on our side. Have to wait for the next build.
"Known issues in Build 10049
If you have Virtual Machines hosted on your PC running Windows 10, you will want to move to the Slow ring and wait for the next build as this build breaks the ability to run VMs. "
The statement is miss-quoted. It was about Hyper -V. An update KB3053898
was released to fix that
