Where to find the war file

i would like to deploy my jsf application (done in sun one studio + sun aaplication server + Mysql) in tomcat.
where do i find the war file???

hi!
Move into the folder in which you'r project is placed. Then issue the following command:
jar -cvf filename.war . dont forget . at the end which means current directory

thanks four your post,but thats not the thing i wanted to know. By now I have given it up to look for an anwser for beeing able to debug my applications, because there is no solution (whatever the cause could be).
What I want to know now is, where can I find the portal log files?

I am doing the logon page customization but i am not finding the stylesheet to change the background colors.
While testing it is taking the default css stylesheet.

Where to find the log file

I am gettting the following runtime portal error and do not know where to find it.
I have searched in my c drive but nothing has been found.

Log and trace messages are written in <installation_path>j2eeclusterserver0log<b>defaultTrace.trc</b>. But it's very hard to read this file's content with a text editor... So you should use the LogViewer utility. You can use either the standalone or the integrated LogViewer that you can find in <i>J2EE Visual Administrator -> Server XX -> Services -> LogViewer</i>. Servlet compilation - where to find the class files ?

Hi !
I am new to servlets and I have just downloaded Tomcat 4. I think that a servlet has to extend the HttpServlet class and throws a ServletException exception, right ? But where can I find these classes for Tomcat (I think that these don't ship with it !). I tryed to fix the problem by downloading these classes for JSDK but the Tomcat examples (which I could run) did not compile !...
It is perhaps a silly question, but could someone help me out ?

There is a package called servlet 2.3 wich contains all the classe you need to create servlets, you can download it from

Where are the .war files

This issue has really stumped me. After i run 'ant install' the site works. But I am not able to locate the .war files for the GSApp application. Could someone help me locate where exactly is the .war file.

i dont think that ant install copies a war file to the tomcat webapps directory.
if you run 'ant dist' then this will build a war file for you, and place in your {$app.name}/build/ directory.

..war file and deployed it.
just go thru fortune sample it will give you the better Idea.

You should not have to uninstall Premiere Elements 12/12.1 in order to install and run Premiere Elements 13 on the same computer unless your computer is overloaded and the computer resources are compromised. Just use one program at a time.
Can you still use 12/12.1 on this same computer that will not let you use 13?
What specific Window operating system are you using?
Let us go through the usual drill...
1. Does the problem exist with and without the antivirus and firewall(s) disabled?
2. Are you using a pen and tablet device instead of a mouse?
3. Did you install the program with antivirus and firewall(s) disabled?
4. Disable the SLCache Folder found in Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit

Program Files (x86)
Common Files
Adobe
and in the Adobe Folder should be the SL Cache Folder that you delete or disable by renaming the Folder
from SLCache to SLCacheOLD.
5. Are you running the program as Administrator and is the latest version of QuickTime installed on the same
computer as Premiere Elements 13?

Where can i find the cached file?

where can i find the cached file?.
while one video was getting cached . I could see the cached file in the cache directory that mozilla firefox uses which in my pc is .....Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\uujksq39.default\Cache. but later on when the full video was completely cached i couldnt find the file existing in that directory and i still have my session of that firefox opened and can watch the video from the firefox session.
since the cached video is still there ,there most be some place where the firefox is storing that file. is it the case that when the file is big (greater than some threshold value) firefox stores in some other directory?

You can do a search an the about:cache page.

For 2 weeks ago I was searching for a log file on my server. Somehow I opend a file where I could see a list of all bash-commands I had ever entered into OSX Terminal.
Now I need this file.. but cant find it.
What is the official location for this LOG file?
