thanks in advance,Couple of suggestions ....
(1) The oracle site is quite big ... please indicate the URL you are using.
(2) Checkout this link also {forum:id=923}
(3) Checkout this blog http://blogs.oracle.com/certification/ where a few recent entries are relevant :
...... especially http://blogs.oracle.com/certification/entry/0419 and links from that page.
This is a rushed answer. As it is weekend site may be under maintenance. I asked shaun the sheep about this and he said MAA...... {noformat};){noformat} -
Help! Where I could find API for Java to uncompress ZIP format File?
Please!
How can i find it?
Is there anyone have the source?If you want to unzip ZIP Files in java code, use java.util.ZipFile classes. Goto www.yahoo.com and type java.util.ZipFile in the search box and hit go and it will come up with all the methods and stuff for the class as the first hit.

Tips on how to write efficient java code for java mapping

I do not have much knowledge in Java
Can anybody tell me some tips on how to write efficient and optimised java code to be used in java mapping

A very important place where you will use JAVA in XI is while doing your Mapping. There will be cases when JAVA MAPPING is the best solution to go for. There are 2 types of Parsers available for JAVA Mapping. DOM Parser and SAX parser. Just got through the following links to understand more on Java Mapping and the APIs available.http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/api/javax/xml/parsers/package-summary.html http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/api/org/w3c/dom/Document.html http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/api/org/w3c/dom/package-frame.html /people/prasad.ulagappan2/blog/2005/06/29/java-mapping-part-i

Java Updates for Java 2 Runtime Enviroment, SE V1.4.2_08
Hello everyone!
I want to update java in a server 2003, with this current version Java 2 Runtime Enviroment, SE V1.4.2_08. Do you have the link where I can download this latest version.
I was reading this page, regarding Oracle Java SE Critical Patch Update Advisory - February 2013 Link here: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/topics/security/javacpufeb2013-1841061.html, by reading this, I know my version is affected, as I will copy and paste here:
Affected product releases and versions:
Java SE Patch Availability
JDK and JRE 7 Update 11 and earlier Java SE
JDK and JRE 6 Update 38 and earlier Java SE
JDK and JRE 5.0 Update 38 and earlier Java SE
SDK and JRE 1.4.2_40 and earlier Java SE
JavaFX 2.2.4 and earlier JavaFX
But whenever I try to find updates for this version, I only see Java 6 or 7 available. Thanks everybody for your support!996230 wrote:

You can still download it from the archives, but you won't be able to get the latest patch versions of it - that is only for paying customers.

I would consider upgrading to Java 7 if I were you. Any software that still needs Java 1.4 is a security risk. -
What Java compiler for Java Card development ?
What Java compiler and options should be used for Java Card development with the goal of generating correct, and (secondarily) small or/and fast code after conversion to Java Card bytecode using converter ?
In particular
- Is use of JDK 7 approved by Oracle for Java Card development? That would solve security problems associated with (the web components of the JRE of) some earlier JDK, including the latest JDK6. The JCDK 3.0.4 release notes states "+the commercial version of Java Development Kit (JDK software) version 6 Update 10 (JDK 6 Update 10) or later is required+, but that does not answer that question.
- Anyone had _bad_ experience (like incorrect or disastrous code) with the Java compiler bundled with Eclipse ? I have seen at least one case where org.eclipse.jdt.core_3.7.3.v20120119-1537.jar produced slightly more compact code than javac.
- Anyone had _bad_ experience with javac in jdk1.3 ? In an applet involving a "finally" clause, I've seen it generating more compact code than later javac (which in my test triplicated the code for the finally clause).What Java compiler and options should be used for Java Card development with the goal of generating correct, and (secondarily) small or/and fast code after conversion to Java Card bytecode using converter ?-target -source may be required to generate compatible byte code. Depending on the CAP file converter being used debug information may also help. Remember that Java Card is a subset of the Java language (also there are short opcodes that Java doesn't have etc) so a lot of the work for optimisation is done by the converter or the JCRE. You can look at the JCA code generated to determine what works best for your applets. There are also some ways of stripping out dead code etc from JCA files (return statements after a throw etc) to reduce your code size. Most of the speed optimisations come from your code (avoiding context switches and unnecessary security/access checks).
The compactness of your Java Card binary may not be directly related to the size of your compiled Java code. It can depend on the converter you use and any optimisaitons the JCRE might try to do when the code is loaded.
- Is use of JDK 7 approved by Oracle for Java Card development? That would solve security problems associated with (the web components of the JRE of) some earlier JDK, including the latest JDK6. Java Card does not use any of the libraries from the JDK/JRE. All of the libraries are provided by the JCRE on the smartcard.
The JCDK 3.0.4 release notes states "+the commercial version of Java Development Kit (JDK software) version 6 Update 10 (JDK 6 Update 10) or later is required+, but that does not answer that question.Anything above JDK6u10 is supported. If you use Java 7 you may need to add a -source and -target flag when compiling.
- Anyone had _bad_ experience (like incorrect or disastrous code) with the Java compiler bundled with Eclipse ? I have seen at least one case where org.eclipse.jdt.core_3.7.3.v20120119-1537.jar produced slightly more compact code than javac.We generally use the Eclipse compiler as we find that we get more deterministic builds. When CAP files are sent for security review it is helpful to have the reviewer able to generate a CAP file that matches the one you sent to confirm the binary is what you say it is.
- Anyone had _bad_ experience with javac in jdk1.3 ? In an applet involving a "finally" clause, I've seen it generating more compact code than later javac (which in my test triplicated the code for the finally clause).We do not use anything less than Java 6 for compilation.

Where may I download package for JAVA call SAP RFC
Hi all,
I need to call a RFC in a JAVA based system. I found I need to install two package before I call, such as:
import com.sap.rfc.*;
import com.sap.rfc.exception.*;
import com.ibm.sap.bapi.*;
import com.ibm.sap.bapi.generated.*;
where can I download these 2 package?
Thanks a lot in advance.
NedHai ,
im telling in Eclipse ..
Take a look to see that those packages are listed in the plug-ins under
Windows > Preferences > Target Platform. This should point to an Ecilpse
installation which should have most of those packages.
You will need to install GEF separately. It does not come with Eclpse. Go
to http://www.eclipse.org/gef/ and click on Downloads.

Where is the wscompile utility for Java Web Services Developer Pack 2.0?
Hi. I am running Ubuntu Linux 7.04. I downloaded and installed tomcat 5.0 for WSDP and then WSDP 2.0. I did so because I am trying to use the wscompile utility to generate the WSDL and JAX-RPC mapping files so that I can create a simple example web service. (It doesn't seem like I should need the tomcat container for this, but the installation was prompting for a web container, so I supplied one).
My problem is that there is no wscompile file anywhere in the installation. I have read some other posts, and it seems as though the utility should be there. I looked inside the /jsdp-shared/bin directory of the installation, but there is nothing there.
I ran locate wscompile and find wscompile*, but nothing shows up. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks so much.Just to clarify, when I said there is nothing in the /jsdp-shared/bin directory, I just meant that the wscompile utility that I am looking for is not there. There are multiple scripts in this directory. I also encountered no problems when I installed WSDP 2.0 via the gui screen.

Hire a java expert for java proxy server.
hello,
i need a expert java programmer to hire for a simple java proxy project please contact me if you are intrested please leave me a message for more info.http://localhost:7021/sbresource?PROXY/MySample/MyJMSProxyService is the WSDL URL of the proxy.
Transport is is picked by the client from wsdl.
As far as the documentation of client generation is there, there is no change.
But meanwhile I have started working on sending the message directly to queue. JMSProxy is getting called. May be I will first run the proxy this way and then try troubleshooting the java client.

Where to take blank screen for repair
My son has a 3 yr old, out of warrenty macbook pro. Screen went blank. Considerations are to take it to an apple store (a pain, cause it's 1 1/2 hr away, but would be free) vs subscribe to Applecare and handle it all by mail. Is there much chance that this is just software problem and therefore worth taking to the apple store , or is it most likely hardware, in which case I guess he ought to save a trip and do applecare (and pay).
If his MBP is ~3 years old, it might be related to this issue: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2377
Have a read and see if it applies.
I just had my logic board replaced due to the faulty GPU as per the above link (my screen was also blank - would not turn on but the MBP booted up fine). Took it to an Apple store, they ran a quick 5 min diagnostic which confirmed my GPU had failed and the logic board was replaced for free. -

Documentation Enhancer for Java
Documentation Enhancer for Java is a tool that enhances Javadoc files by enriching them with new information. The information is gathered by statically analyzing the corresponding Java class files. This tool enhances the Javadoc HTMLs in three respects: semantic information, sorting, and navigability.
http://www.alphaworks.ibm.com/tech/docenhancer?open&S_PKG=&S_TACT=103AMW61&S_CMP=GR&ca=dgr-awjw03docenhancerFirst of all, can you explain what do you exactly mean by "is there a java api for java?"
About the second part of your question, if the desired file format is CSV, then you can use StringTokenizer class that by reading each line of your file, makes tokens based on some delimiter that you specify (space, tab, etc.) and then in each line, you have to concatenate each pair of tokens with a character ";" between them. However as I know, you cannot have text decoration (Bold, Italic, etc) with CSV format
