Which is the login behind reconnecting from guest to the user who work

HI, Please
Which is the logic behind reconnecting from guest to the user who will use the application.
For example in oracle developer I connected as a user guest, having minimum privileges to log logging attempts and load some basic information in the logon form.
Then the user reconnected in code as the user he will be in all the applicatoin and went to the main form where the menu was (not using native logon from tool), it was the command logon(xx,xx,xx)
Does the same logic applies in jdeveloper?
How can I reconnect using adf in code, I search reconnect jdeveloper and didn't found nothing for doing in code.

in Oracle Forms I assume you used data base login. You can use dynamic JDBC credentials in ADF as well and an examle exist here http://radio.weblogs.com/0118231/stories/2004/09/23/notYetDocumentedAdfSampleApplications.html
However, if yu really use different physical database accounts then for the web this seems to be wrong because in here its more common to work with lightweight accounts, which are are not the same as database accounts

Also, you mentioned that you have been successful burning a CD with the Windows OS. Make sure that you have closed all software programs that can access the CD burner so that there isn't a conflict for the drive. Sometimes chaning the burn speed from "maximum" to 8x can also help in this situation.

Detecting which line the User is Editing IN table control

I am doing a Dialog programming where there is a Table control. Now the problem is I have to decide to checks certain rules based on data entered in the Table control. But the Rules should be applicable only to the Row in which the User is entering data. And even if the the same rules are failing in another Row of the Table control it should not get validated i.e The rule should be applicable only to the ROW the user is entering the data or Changing the Data.
How do i sense in which row the User is entering data in the PAI of the Table control.

Im using the SDI application to build a system and now i would like to insert a dialog box which allow the user to enter the general information about themselves and then it will be saved into a text file. How to insert the dialog box and show the dialog box at the beginning of the program.

The easyest way to achieve this is to declare an object of your dialog box derived class (e.g. CUserInfo, public CDialog) into the InitInstance method of the main application class.
Depending on the behavior you want you can place the code before dispatching the commands from command line (in which case the main frame of the SDI application will not be shown), or after, in which case the UserInfo dialog box will be shown over the main application window as modal.
The code snipped bellow can be more helpfull:

How to use progress indicator which block the user for editing ?

Hi All,
I have a requirement where i need to show a round progress bar while processing to the database.For example :- I have a bounded taskflow and inside it I have a two jspx page called as "First.jspx" and "Second.jspx".And i have two textboxes and one "Save" button on first.jspx page.
Now when user puts the values in the textboxes and hits the "Save" button , my ticker or progress indicator should say "Please wait while processing" and as soon as the transaction is complete , i need to show another page which is "Second.jspx" page. "Save" button action has method inside a managed bean which has some functionality and then it executes the VO(View Object) and commits the data.
How should i implement the indicator?
I have read this article :- http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/adf/learnmore/42-progressbarcolor-169184.pdf but it doesn't fit to my requirement.I need indicator which holds the user to edit anything on the page.Like what we get when we do any transaction in banks while navigating to payment gateway.

Wanted: Popup which allows the user to enter one string

Hello,
as the topic states, I am searching for a (modal) popup which lets the user enter one string in a text field and returns this string.
I am currently using the function module 'POPUP_TO_GET_ONE_VALUE' for this purpose which works quite good - BUT it has one major drawback: the string that is returned is entirely in capital letters. This is not acceptable as I want to build a case-sensitive search based on the input...
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated !

You are right, the parameters that reference to the DDIC made me wonder and decide against this FM when I searched through all the available popups some time ago.
To your first reply:
the popup is quite good. It does indeed deliver a 'case preserved' string. What I don't like is the checkbox and the fact, that the confimation button is labeled 'search' rather than just the 'ICON_OK'. I should mention at this point that I reuse the popup in other scenarios where the string is not used for a search but to name certain objects. Again an all uppercase string (or all lowercase string as well) is unwanted.
Now on to the second popup...

I just got your point: you want to determine the rule, not the text in the PDF Watermark itself.
I'm afraid, this is not possible - at least, OOTB. The rules really have criteria based on metadata of the document only - see http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/doc.1111/e10978/e01_user_if.htm#CACCAGAB
I can think of two ways how this could be resolved:
- text in the template would be so dynamic, that it'd opt to blank if necessary (this requires that PDF templates may accept idocScript, which I do not know if true)
- at the caller side or somehow in the processing of the called service (so that Watermarking is by-passed)
It'd help if you describe your business scenario.
P.S. I've just seen you described your scenario. So, it eliminates the option b) - just check if you can use idocscript in the templates, then.

First of all you need data on the browser. This can be done via JavaScript and the navigator object:

You probably need some extra information like IP number. This can be done via the
request->get_header_field method.
As such you dont need to retrieve this info every time if you have a single entry point like a login page. Just
put it in a server side cookie. Each new page will read this cookie and save this info together with the page
name, user id, eventual parameters, etc. into the log. Now I talked earlier about the visitor concept. This is
also an ideal place to implement this. If you are only interested in returning visitors with a full day time interval,
you can for example determine whether that user has already used that application. If so, you just increment a
counter. If not, you have to create a new line. This method will also reduce the size of your table.
C.2 Showing It
The only thing you need to do is to analyze and visualize stuff. The analyzing stuff is completely up to you.
The following screen shot is an example where the total number of visitors within a given time frame is shown.
It also shows the number of unique visitors in that same time frame compared to the potential number of
visitors. You might find this of interest if you want to know how many (internal) users actually use your intranet
application. You can couple the user info to the department info and then you can figure out whether
department X or Y is actually using the application.
But I didnot get the actual idea of implementing this in my BSP.

In our BI system one info object has got deleted. If I need to track the user who has deleted that how can I track it(in which DBtable). And the complication is one user ID is being used by many people, in this case how can I track that from which machine the Info Object has been deleted(if there is any possibility to track the machines by IP address).

Object: RSD
Subobject: IOBJ_DEL
External ID: (put here the name of your deleted IO)
Then choose a time range...and voilà, you can find the user who deleted the IO...

it. and you can get into SUIM through SU01 from user information system link.
you can execute RSUSR002 from SA38/SE38.
RSUSR002 is the report which gets you the whereused list for profiles within roles, users.
you can get it from transaction SECR ofcourse you are executing the same report.
you can get from UST04 table and obviously USR04 also because sometimes you miss some details from UST04 because of sync problems.

Find the user who altered a procedure

We have faced a situation wherein which a Procedure of our production of the database was altered by someone and due to this the procedure got invalid. Now I need to know who is the user who has done this. I have checked the LAST DDL on the said procedure but I am jusst getting the Timestamp from it. Even I generated the AWR but it is not showing any thing related to the altered procedure. Audit is enabled on DB, but it does not has any infromation related to this. Can any one tell me is there some other way to find this?
On further analysis, it was found that the said Procedure had a syntax error which was later rectified by properly editing the body of the procedure. So I need to know who accessed/ altered this Procedure.

The proper answer would be to have enabled auditing of DDL prior to the change. I assume when you say that "audit is enabled on DB, but it does not has any information related to this" that you are saying that you are auditing something but not DDL.
Assuming your database is in ARCHIVELOG mode, you could potentially use LogMiner to go through the archived logs from the time in question to see what user issued the DDL statement.
