Which privilege to access active SQL instruction tab

Hi all,
On sqldeveloper when I am supervising the sessions on my new database, the screen shows the complete list of sessions. But if I click on one of the sessions to have more details, like running SQL query, an error occurs :
SEVERE     1378     2229     oracle.dbtools.db.DBUtil     Avertissement, exception non gérée : ORA-00942: table or view does not exist
The detail panel is working well if the user connected is a dba role one, so the root cause is probably a missing privilege. Do you know which privilege grant to enable the panel of the details of a session ?
Any help appreciated,
Donatien.
I am using sqldeveloper 3.1.07. All the databases are 10g version.

Raj,
From the User's Guide:
APEX_INSTANCE_ADMIN can be executed by the SYS, SYSTEM, and FLOWS_030100 database users as well as any database user granted the role APEX_ADMINISTRATOR_ROLE.

    As SQL tuning advisor relies on the advisor framework, so all tuning task interfaces (XXX_TUNING_TASK) require privilege ADVISOR.

  • Ip based access in SQL Server 2014?

    Hi
    We are already using a logon trigger in sql 2014 but it is legacy method of restricting IP's;
    Is there a way in SQL Server to provide the same fuctionality?
    Regards,

    I think it is better done with firewall as I am not aware of anything other than logon triggers which can block access in SQL

  • SCVMM 2008 R2 - "The SQL Server service account does not have permission to access Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS)."

    I know this question has been asked before, but never for R2, that I can tell, and the posted fixes aren't working. I have just installed SCVMM 2008 R2 on a Windows Server 2008 R2 server, using a remote SQL 2008 SP1 database. When I attempt to connect to SCVMM, I get the following error:
    "The SQL Server service account does not have permission to access Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS).
    Ensure that the SQL Server service is running under a domain account or a computer account that has permission to access AD DS. For more information, see "Some applications and APIs require access to authorization information on account objects" in the Microsoft Knowledge Base at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=121054.
    ID: 2607"
    What I've seen online is that this is usually becuase the domain account SCVMM is running as does not have the proper permissions on the SQL database. Here's what I've confirmed:
    1) My SCVMM service account is a local admin on the SCVMM server
    2) My SCVMM service account is a dbowner on the SCVMM database in SQL
    3) My SQL service account is a dbowner on the SCVMM database in SQL
    4) My SQL service account is a domain user (even made it a domain admin, just in case, and it still "doesn't have access to AD DS," which is obviously untrue)
    5) Neither service account is locked out
    Has anyone run in to this? It says in Technet that remote SQL 2008 is supported, as long as the SQL management studio is installed to the SCVMM server, and I installed and patched before I began the SCVMM installation. I just don't know what else to try - I have no errors in event logs, no issues during the installation itself...

    That answer was very unhelpful fr33m4n. The individual mentions that they've received the error that points to the KB article. I currently receive the same error -- there seems to be no resolution. I've run the Microsoft VBS script to add TAUG to the WAAG
    as suggested by 331951, and that made absolutely no difference.
    1) My SCVMM service account is a local admin on the SCVMM server
    2) My SCVMM service account is a dbowner on the SCVMM database in SQL
    3) My SQL service account is a dbowner on the SCVMM database in SQL
    4) My SQL service account is a domain user (even made it a domain admin, just in case, and it still
    "doesn't have access to AD DS," which is obviously untrue)
    The user is also a member of WAAG, the machines have delegated authority to each other. Is there any other solution?

  • Website needs Microsoft Data Access - Active X Data Objects

    I have a number of websites for work that are seem to be built around Internet Explorer. When I try to open them on my Mac at home with Safari, I get message that I pasted below.
    I'm thinking this might be related to the fact that when I open them on a PC for the first time it shows a similar message, but Internet Explorer prompts me to download and run "Microsoft Data Access - Active X Data Objects", and then it runs fine.
    Based on this I'm assuming it's a lack of these "objects" that are causing this problem. Is there any equivalent to these components for the Mac? Anything I can try to access these websites from my Mac? I've tried using Firefox as well, which has the exact same issue.
    Right now I've got to fire up my 2006 PC laptop to use Internet Explorer every time I need access to these sites. I realize I could install windows on my Mac with bootcamp and restart in windows every time I need access, but that seems like a waste just to visit 2 websites. Any advice?

  • Accessing MS Sql Server with Java classes - problem connecting to socket

    I found an example at this location which uses java classes to connected to MS Sql Server.
    http://search400.techtarget.com/tip/1,289483,sid3_gci1065992,00.html
    --bummer - it is a login location - so I will include the article
    Anyway, the example is using Websphere, but I am still on Jbuilder (will get wsad soon). So I planted the classes from the example in
    C:\Borland\JBuilder\jkd1.4\jre\lib\ext\...the classes
    Then I copied the code from the example to my jpx project and got an error that it could not connect to the socket. The only thing I changed in the code was the connection string:
    --original string from example:
    Connection connection = DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:microsoft:sqlserver://1433", "");
    I was getting an error with the 2 argument version of DriverManager - and the second argument here was empty (properties argument). Here was my connection string:
    Connection connection = DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:microsoft:sqlserver://Myserver:1433;User=sa;Password=");
    I am only using the 1 argument version of DriverManager. Note that the password=" is blank because my RnD workstation is standalone - no one accesses the sql server except me - so no password. I also left out the last semicolon I noticed. Any suggestions appreciated how I could fix this.
    Thanks

    Sample code: Accessing MS SQL Server database from the iSeries

    Nowadays with the help of Java the iSeries can be integrated with other databases quite easy. This tip shows you how. The code included here uses the free Microsoft driver that can be downloaded from here. (SQL Server 2000 Driver for JDBC Service Pack 3)
    If your SQL server does not include the Northwind Sample Database you can find it here.
    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=07287b11-0502-461a-b138-2aa54bfdc03a&displaylang=en
    The download contains the following files:
    msbase.jar
    mssqlserver.jar
    msutil.jar
    Those files needs to be copied to the iSeries directories (/home/r_eitan/ExternalJARs).
    Here's the directory structure (on the iSeries) for this sample:
    /home/r_eitan/ExternalJARs - Microsoft files (msbase.jar,mssqlserver.jar,msutil.jar)
    /home/r_eitan/JdbcTest02 - My code (Main.java,Main.class)
    The Java code
    import java.sql.*;
    import java.io.*;
    class Main {
    * Connect to Microsoft SQL server and download file northWind.products as tab
    * seperated file. (products.txt)

    Connection connection = DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:microsoft:sqlserver://Myserver:1433;User=sa;Password=");
    System.out.println("Connection Done");
    connection.setCatalog("northWind");
    String sqlCmdString = "select * from products";
    Statement statement = connection.createStatement();
    ResultSet resultSet = statement.executeQuery(sqlCmdString);
    ResultSetMetaData resultSetMetaData = resultSet.getMetaData();
    int columnCount = resultSetMetaData.getColumnCount();
    // Iterate throught the rows in resultSet and
    // output the columns for each row.
    while (resultSet.next()) {
    for (int index = 1; index <=columnCount; ++index)
    String value;
    switch(resultSetMetaData.getColumnType(index))
    case 2 :
    case 3 :

    break;
    default :

    break;
    outPut.print(value + (index < columnCount ? "t" : ""));
    outPut.println();

    My guess is that the server's host name isn't right. It necessarily (or even usually) the "windows name" of the computer. Try with the numeric IP address instead (type "ipconfig" to see it).
    First aid check list for "connection refused":
    - Check host name in connect string.
    - Check port number in connect string.
    - Try numeric IP address of server host in connect string, in case name server is hosed.
    - Are there any firewalls between client and server blocking the port.
    - Check that the db server is running.
    - Check that the db server is listening to the port. On the server, try: "telnet localhost the-port-number". Or "netstat -an", there should be a listening entry for the port.
    - Try "telnet serverhost the-port-number" from the client, to see if firewalls are blocking it.
    - If "telnet" fails: try it with the numeric ip address.
    - If "telnet" fails: does it fail immediately or after an obvious timeout? How long is the timeout?
    - Does the server respond to "ping serverhost" or "telnet serverhost" or "ssh serverhost"?

    I'm getting this error when I try to install the newest version of Itunes.  I have tried so many things.  Please help.

    Okay.
    Let's try running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.
    XP instructions in the following document: How to perform disk error checking in Windows XP
    Vista instructions in the following document: Check your hard disk for errors
    Windows 7 instructions in the following document: How to use CHKDSK (Check Disk)
    Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
    Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards?

  • SQL Dev 2.1 - Session browser Active SQL showing duplicate queries

    Haven't noticed this before in any other version but then hadn't realy been looking but when i use the session browser to check code running on the DB in the ACTIVE SQL tab i ocassionally see duplicate sql statments, which can be misleading, see below for an example.

    The reason seems to be that the Session Browser query:
    SELECT REPLACE(q.sql_text,chr(0)) sql_text
    FROM v$session s,
    v$sql q
    WHERE s.sql_address = q.address
    AND s.sql_hash_value = q.hash_value
    AND s.sid = :SID
    is picking up all the different child number queries from v$sql, is there anyway to only pick up the child that you are using to avoid the strange query output?
    Thanks in advance

    "The installer has insufficient privileges to access this directory: C:\Program Files (x86)\common\files\apple\MobileDeviceSupport\Sync Services\....\Windows"

    That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.

  • How to get Apple ID and password that is different to iTunes store account which I have already activated and completed contracts, tax information and bank information I want to create a Paid Books Account use apple ID

    I was given this address from the Apple customer support team.
    I have an active existing iTunes store account and use the same Apple ID for signing into my iTunes Connect Account that distributes Apps.
    I have created some books using the iBook author and in order to distribute content on the iBookstore I have been told electronically that I need a new Apple ID and password that is different to iTunes store account which I have already activated and completed contracts, tax information and bank information valid until 2013?
    I want to create a Paid Books Account using the same email address, tax information and bank information. This has been most frustrating, as I cannot get passed the sign in section and there is no contact person I can speak to. I was of the understanding the iTunes connect account and the Developer programs which I paid good money for is all what I needed to be paid for selling iBooks on the iBookstore???
    I only have one email address and wish to also use it for the Paid Books Account. I have books ready to be exported and published.
    I am also having trouble locating and downloading iTunes Producer. I understand I need to have the Paid Books Account active to access the iTunes Producer program. Please help.
    See additional information below:

    Hi Lrwill,
    If the apps that are on your son's iPad were purchased under his Dad's Apple ID, then signing your Apple ID onto the iPad will not help you with updating those apps.
    Also, if the iPad was sync'd with his Dad's iTunes library, then hooking it up to your computer/iTunes library, will require you to reset the iPad, and everything that was loaded under the other Library and Apple ID will be wiped out.
    Can you provide a little more info about what was set up under which Apple ID and what iTunes library the iPad was sync'd with?
    Cheers,

  • How to check which privileges user is using

    Hello All,
    I have a user assigned DBA role in mistake many years back.
    During our security overview I is flagged and now I need to revoke the DBA role from that user.At the moment it look like as follows and I am on 10204 database
    Privilege
    Category Granted Privilege
    Role Privs CONNECT
    DBA
    OEM_MONITOR
    RESOURCE
    Sys Privs ALTER ANY MATERIALIZED VIEW
    ANALYZE ANY
    CREATE ANY MATERIALIZED VIEW
    CREATE PROCEDURE
    CREATE ROLE
         CREATE SEQUENCE
    CREATE SESSION
    CREATE TABLE
    CREATE VIEW
    DROP ANY MATERIALIZED VIEW
    GLOBAL QUERY REWRITE
    UNLIMITED TABLESPACE
    Now I need to find what all privileges out of approx 158 in the DBA role this user is using so that I can revoke the DBA role and assign that sys privielege exclusively and later on trim down a bit on those as well if possible?
    Can someone help me in finding or is there a way possible to find out which privileges are actually being used by the user assigned to him via DBA role?
    I can find something on net on those lines, any help or useful pointers would be highly appreciated.
    Many Thanks,
    Rishi

    Hello All,
    Right I think auditing the DBA role could save my day.I have enable the auditing on the DB for dba role as shown below:
    audit_file_dest string /oraadmin/tgtx/10/adump
    audit_sys_operations boolean FALSE
    audit_syslog_level string
    audit_trail string DB, EXTENDED
    Exact version of the database is:
    Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.4.0 - Prod
    PL/SQL Release 10.2.0.4.0 - Production
    CORE 10.2.0.4.0 Production
    TNS for Linux: Version 10.2.0.4.0 - Production
    NLSRTL Version 10.2.0.4.0 - Production
    I have enable the audit dba role for user exeter as shown:
    SYS@TGTX> AUDIT DBA by exeter WHENEVER SUCCESSFUL;
    Audit succeeded.
    Now I expect to audit all the sys privs assigned to dba role but alas its not working as expected if anyone can shed any light ON it, what I am trying to do is as follows:
    I am trying to use the sys priv that is create any table as user exeter who is assigned dba role as follows:
    SYS@TGTX> select * from dba_role_privs where grantee='EXETER';
    GRANTEE GRANTED_ROLE ADM DEF
    EXETER DBA NO YES
    EXETER CONNECT NO YES
    EXETER RESOURCE NO YES
    EXETER OEM_MONITOR NO YES
    EXETER@TGTX> create table dbaschema.test2 (srno number(10));
    Table created.
    Now I expect to see some records in dba_audit_trail as a result of above commands but there is none, am I doing anything wrong here?
    SELECT * FROM dba_audit_trail
    WHERE USERNAME = 'EXETER'
    ORDER BY timestamp;
    No rows returned but I shall have expected atleast one row to be returned here after enabling the audit on DBA role by exeter.
    Any Ideas?
    Thanks
    Rish

  • MS Access querying SQL Server: How to configure Network ACL?

    I need to set up a highly restrictive ACL for access to a particular SQL server in our network.  This ACL will reside on our core switch at the "front door" of our network and permit access to the SQL server only using the ports that
    are necessary.  The purpose is to A) Try to keep unauthorized users from gaining access to the host server and B) Should someone somehow gain unauthorized access to the host server. keep them from being able to "hop off" to other PC's on
    the network.
    The server will be accessed by clients using MS Access to query the SQL database and bring back reports.  A few admins are actually able to make minor changes to the database such as updating a user list or location list. In other words, both
    read and write access is needed to the SQL database.
    I know that the default SQL server port is 1433, but according to a Microsoft Support article I read, "client ports are assigned a random value between 1024 and 5000".
    I was really hoping I could just put something like "permit PC1 access to SQL Server on Port 1433" in my ACL, but after reading the MS Support article it sounds like I've got to allow almost 4,000 ports through?
    Could someone help demystify this for me so I can build the right ACL?

    The tool to use is SQL Server Configuration Management.
    But what you can configure is which port SQL Server listens to. Which port the client listens to is not controllable as far as I know. But that can of course be many, since a client can have many connections to SQL Server. (And the range is not
    restricted to 1024-5000. I connected over TCP locally, and I see this with netstat -a
      TCP    127.0.0.1:6621         NATSUMORI:ms-sql-s     ESTABLISHED
    Then again, I don't see why you would have to open any ports for the clients at all. I have never heard of this being a problem.

  • "insufficient privileges to access this directory C:/Program Files(x86)/iTunes/iTunes.Resources/nb.Iproj."

    I'm using a Windows 8 laptop and I updated my iphone 4s software to IOS7 and of course my itunes needs updating, but when I go to update it is in vain because it comes up with the message that the installer has insufficient privileges to access this directory C:/Program Files(x86)/iTunes/iTunes.Resources/nb.Iproj.
    and the installation cannot continue. I have tried changing the security permissions on this file which doesn't let me as it asks that I need Read Permissions etc...
    Has anyone encountered this issue, I've looked online but nothing helps for my situation

    If you can't delete the .lproj folders try renaming them or deleting/renaming a parent folder, i.e. \iTunes\iTunes.Resources or \iTunes.
    For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
    The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
    Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
