White Scratch Marks Appear When Saving Extracted hair as GIF

Hi guys,
I need your help with a problem that has been driving me up the wall. I've created a web site (my first) for my sister and it's all ready to be uploaded. But I've been held up for a while by a Photoshop problem. I've been trying to extract a couple of hair models in order to put them on a transparent background and display them on her homepage using a JavaScript rotator.
I use the Lasso tool to select the main parts and then extract the hair using the Refine Edges tool in CS6. It all looks good as long as I'm working with it in PS. I see no signs of white scratch marks in either a dark or transparent background. But as soon as I save the image in either gif or PNG with transparency, the scratch marks appear.
Here's what I'm talking about:
I wanted to ask if anybody can do me a huge favor extract these two images for me on a transparent background and then tell what they did so that I can do the rest of them myself. These are the ones I have real difficulty with.
The files are in Tiff format and I could use either gif or PNG.

Here's a copy of the image saved against a dark background in Photoshop:
As you can see, it's not perfect, but there are no scratch marks. And I do save for Web. Because that's where I want to use it. Scratch marks appear as soon as the image is saved on the transparent background and can be seen in the preview pane to the left!!!
Also, just to clarify, do you want me to post the original jpg files on here for you to see?

Thanks for going through the trouble of downloading and working with the images. What I need is to have them on a transparent background, due to my website design. I cannot have any background on the images. I have managed to save the extracted models on different colour background, as you can see from my reply to c.pfaffenbichler. The problem occurs specifically when I try to save them on a transparent background in either GIF or PNG formats.
At this point, this has become a question for me whether this is even possible or not! Frankly, I don't know what the hell I'm doing wrong. I follow what I believe to be the standard procedure for saving an image for web use.
I'd be very grateful if you could do the image on a transparent background so that I know this can be done and I could possibly compare notes with you to troubleshoot where I might be going wrong.

After internet recovery, the OS X utilities appears with four options (Restore from Time machine, Reinstall OS X, Get help online and Disk utility). But none of them seemed helpful. On the last option Disk utility, the icon created only with 33KB and other disk 1 Mac Os X Base system. On First Aid, the icon Repair disk is disabled. So I could not click on repair disk. You can try the following:
Install or Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion from Scratch
Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Erase the hard drive:
1. Select Disk Utility from the main menu and click on the Continue button.
2. After DU loads select your startup volume (usually Macintosh HD) from the
      left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
3. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Optionally, click on
        the Security button and set the Zero Data option to one-pass. Click on
      the Erase button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion and click on the Install button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible
            because it is three times faster than wireless.

IPod Nano 4th Gen White "scratch" mark on right hand side

There is a white scratch mark, in the right hand side of the screen, you try to wipe it, but it won't go away, it is inside the screen, when watching a movie with a black background, the scratch turns white, when watching a movie with a white background, the mark turns black.

If you are still under warranty, call Apple and take it in for repair. Otherwise, see if a local repair shop can help you. If the blemish is under the screen, there's nothing much you can do about it.

No crop mark option when saving as PDF in CS4

I am using photoshop CS4 on a PC.
When saving as a PDF on the left hand side option list there is no crop mark/ trim option available (listed with output, compression etc).
When saving as a PDF via the print option the image loses its high res dpi so this method is not an option.
Any suggestions to how i can get the trim mark option when "saving as PDF"?

TS1440 A flashing question mark appeared when I started my MacBook Pro, I've tried all the suggestions and nothing has worked. How can I back up my current files so I can reinstall Mavericks?

I recently did a manual reboot after my MacBook Pro had frozen, and instead of the usual Apple and loading icon, it gave me the flashing question mark on a folder, which I've never encountered before. I looked up some possible reasons on my PC, and after reading that there's a problem with my HD I tried looking up how to back up my files so that I can do a clean reinstall of Yosemite (latest ver.). However, I've never used anything like Time Machine or anything else that could back up all my files, so it didn't sound like I could do anything about that at this point. I've also tried going into Disk Utility and attempting to repair the disk image. There was only 2 available, disk0 and the base system. I verified the base system, and told me there was nothing wrong (it didn't give me the option to repair anything either, on both available options). I don't think this is the right thing though, since my drive was called MacBook Pro HD. So basically this is the point I'm at now. Is there anything I can do that will repair my HD without erasing all my files?

I've tried all the suggestions and nothing has worked.
I verified the base system, and told me there was nothing wrong

In properties I have link color white, visited blank, rollover blank and active blank. When viewed in chrome, IE or firefox a white rectangle appears when you hover over each link. What is the procedure for removing this?

Disk full message appears when saving a document to DropBox

I have Dropbox dowloaded onto my computer. When saving a document to Dropbox, a message appears saying it cannot sync with my computer as I do not have enough space. This does not bother me as I do not wish to have it sync with my devices as it is work related DropBox. However, more recenlty, when saving the documents to DropBox, my computer is saying that it cannot save it (to the actual hard drive as well as DropBox, I assume) as my disk is full.
When I logged onto my laptop this monring, I also got a message that said my start up disk is full. I have no idea what any of this means nor how to fix it.
Please help.

All of these message are saying the same thing: the disk in your computer is full. You must remove something or increase the size of the disk before you will be able to add anything more.

White console box appears when running dis51usr.exe

Hi all,
I have a user when she attempts to run Discoverer Desktop 10 either via shortcut or via command line by typing dis51usr.exe instead of the program opening a white empty box appears in the middle of the screen titled 'Console' and nothing else happens.
Any ideas?

The path looks right. On my PC, with Desktop and Admin, my path settings for Discoverer look like this:

I can't see anything wrong with the path. This is very mystifying. I think you may have to speak with Oracle Support. Other than the Discoverer installation being corrupt with one or more files missing I can't think why you would be seeing a white console box. I'll keep researching and if I come upon anything I will let you know. To help I have listed alongside each of my locations the number of files and fodlers I have. If yours is different there is a possibility of a corruption.

What does it mean when a blue box with a white question mark appear instead of images?

This happens frequently when I'm using the internet. I've tried using different web browsers, but nothing helps. Also, the internet goes in and out, but wi fi signal is fine. Any ideas?

The browser timed out waiting for the image data to come across the Internet link. Can be accidental, a really lousy ISP service, or deliberate, some entity along the line is preventing the images from getting across. Try starting up the browser in "safe" mode with all plug-ins and add-ons disabled (see the Help menu in Firefox, see the Security pane in Safari's Preferences), just to make sure the browser isn't blocking itself. If that doesn't help, you will have to go "up the food chain": check your router, call your ISP, try connecting from different places, etc.

Tried doing a clean install of lion and now have a folder with question mark appearing when mac boots

I purchased a 2011 mac mini I was having some issues and as I had already bought lion for one of my other macs and put it on a usb key I formatted the mac mini's hdd and put the usb key in to one of the Mini's usb ports and booted the mini up and held down c when the white scren appeard it stayed white for a few secnds and then a folder with a question mark started flashing no option to select my connected usb key I tried several more re boots and each time got the exact same result.
What on earth has apple done so now I can't even access attached drives during booting.
Any ideas how I can sort this out?

Maybe it is not "what has Apple done" You may have jumped the gun a little formatting your system so quickly without ensuring you can actually boot via an alternate method.
The mini has a recovery partition, and instructions how to reinstall the OS from that.
USB drive. Sounds to me like you don't have a proper OSX Bootable USB drive?
Also, the new way Apple allows reinstallation is over the internet too.

**HELP** Unwanted white lines/shapes appear when Brush tool is used

I have been using Photoshop Elements for several years and I really liked it.But just recently I found out that in Photoshop Elements 10, whenever I use Brush or Smart Brush Tools, unwanted white ines/dots/shapes appear on the pictures. This is driving me crazy! What went wrong?? I've done the following:
Reset all preferences by clicking Ctrl + Alt + Shift
Reset all tools.
Restart my computer.
Nothing worked! Please help!!!

Thanks to everyone that suggested things, but none of them worked. In the end it was Wacom, yes... WACOM that solved the problem. Even though it was an Adobe Photoshop issue as far as I could tell. So thank you Wacom, you helped me when I needed it most.
So now to the vital solution:

For MAC, please hold pressing command + alt+ shift, then open Photoshop.
Get the CS3 update. Start CS3 while holding.

Arrow Marks appearing when i refresh the workbook

Hi,
In BI 7.0, i have created a workbook which has hierarchial structures upto 2 Level. When i execute the workbook for the period June 2007 & the table is displaying 20 records. Say, when i refresh the query & give the input as some other month say May 2007 which has only 10 records, the 10 records are coming in properly. But the problem is the Arrow mark for the hierarchial structure is coming for the remaining 10 rows (I think its fetching it from the last input). Actually, this 10 rows should be empty but its displaying the arrow mark symbol alone. I tried deleting it but the arrows again appears. Why is this happening like this? How do i make this arrows disappear?

As mentioned by others.
If it is possible, try to hide these two columns in the query designer.
If there are few calculaions need to be done in excel with these fields, then include a macro to the hide these columns.
You need to include the code to hide these columns to the exit macro 'call back'.

Images not appearing when saving a Framemaker book to pdf

As a new user to Framemaker, I have had great success with these forums in the past. So, thank you.
First off, I am using Framemaker 12.
I have had no problems in the past, but now when I save a file to .pdf it will not produce all the images with it. I saved the same files two weeks ago before reviews began and nothing was missing then. I have not changed anything with the files between then and now besides some textual (i.e. grammar) changes.
Any suggestions?

Are you using the CMYK or RGB option? Use the RGB one, if you're not creating press-quality colour output.
What format are the images in? How were they created (i.e. which application)? Imported by reference or by copy?

Only white square box appear when taking photo using camera

If you can't see the photos when you tap them, there may be a case or protective film covering the iPhones camera. Try testing after removing any 3rd-party accessories.
If the issue persists after removing the case try resetting or restoring the iPhone.
You can reset the iPhone by holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple logo as described here: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=305743
