    Hi
I filled out the apple authorised reseller program but i couldnt select my country (Sri Lanka) in the 2nd step (Locations and Contacts) in the dropdown box only Canada is available. Can you please help me out.
    Thank You

Unfortunately, Apple's channel programs pages say at this time they're not accepting any applications for resellers:
    http://salesresources.apple.com/cp/channel/channel_update.html
You can keep checking that page from time to time and see if they once again open up application for resellers. When or if that will happen, none of us here can say.
    Regards.

You can ask Apple to do that via

  • Why does apple stop giving updates? To phones like iphone 4?

Why does apple stop giving updates? To phones like iphone 4?

Apple haven't stopped giving updates to the iPhone 4. The fact that an update has just been released only for the iPhone 5 does not imply this.

  • Why did apple stop selling carbon audio's zooka bluetooth wireless speakers?

I saw this very interesting Bluetooth speaker from Carbon Audio called Zooka in Apple store few weeks back, but I was still trying to make up my mind about it, but to my surprise this model siezed to exit on the online store, and all searches aggersively point me to other models when I insist on searching for it by name.
Question: why did apple stop selling carbon audio's zooka bluetooth wireless speakers?  Is there something wrong with it, or is it one of thse commercial disputes that I dont need to know about, and I'm good to look for it elsewhere.

I just got this reply back fron Carbon Audio's help Desk if anyone's interested:
Apple had an issue with our labeling, forcing us to recall all of our product to relabel it. That process is complete and Apple will be restocking their shelves very shortly."

  • Why doesn't Apple have a insurance program to cover stolen devices

Why doesn't Apple have a insurance program to cover stolen devices?
As a apple customer I feel that is very important that we are  offered some type of insurance plan to cover our devices if it is stolen besides the AppleCare which is offered that only cover software issues. We as consumers spending hundreds to thousands of dollars on our devices and if it is stolen we are not compensated for it at all which I think is totally unfair. We the consumer put our lives and in some cases our life savings into our devices and this should be taking into consideration By implementing a  insurance plan which allows consumers to choose the type of coverage plans allows the customer to feel more secure with there purchase.

Well...   Usually the deductible is high enough to make it barely worth the claim.  Once you claim you may also find your insurance rates go up for several years.  The rule of thumb is don't claim unless you're talking at least $1000.  In that regard it could be useful if somebody offered separate insurance, though I suspect one might wonder why one was paying $50 or whatever per year for insurance on a single item versus just paying a bit more for a lower deductible on the homeowner's that would cover a host of items.
Qbangz:  I have almost always had renter's insurance or the equivalent, even when I stayed in a dorm at college.  If somebody decides not to have it then that's a personal choice, but it is available.

  • Why does apple stop making iphone 5?

Why apple discontinued iphone 5 ?
Will apple start making it again?

Why apple discontinued iphone 5 ?
Because they brought out the iPhone 5S and 5C.
Will apple start making it again?
Nobody here would know, but it seems extremely unlikely.

  • Why Apple delete programs you payed for?

I'm a honest app store customer. And why apple has rights to remove apps form app store? I paid for some apps, that not available any more. That's stealing! I have same problem with iOS and Mac OS apps. For example, they removed Growl 1.3. Now I have to pay for 2.0. But I'm fine with 1.3.

The Apple Support Communities are an international user to user technical support forum. As a man from Mexico, Spanish is my native tongue. I do not speak English very well, however, I do write in English with the aid of the Mac OS X spelling and grammar checks. I also live in a culture perhaps very very different from your own. When offering advice in the ASC, my comments are not meant to be anything more than helpful and certainly not to be taken as insults.
Apple constantly reminds everyone to backup their purchases because anything can disappear from the app stores and other content stores at any moment. If you fail to do so, the problem lies with you. It isn't stealling, it's capitalism.
Apple only controls its own apps in the stores. Apple folows the direction of the other content owners for the stores, When Growl's developers ctreated the next major paid upgrade to their app, Apple removes the old version and replaces it with the new version.

There's a bug with 10.1.0.54 that is causing "iTunes has stopped working messages" (citing CoreAudioToolbox.dll in the Problem Reports for the error) for some folks when importing CDs with the AAC encoding, adding/converting files to AAC, and in some cases syncing devices (when the convert to 128 kbps AAC option is enabled).
Short of rolling back your iTunes to 10.0.1.22 and your Apple Application Support to 1.3.2 (CoreAudioToolbox.dll is kept in the Apple Application Support program files), there's a few possible workarounds.
    (1) Change your importing prefs to use a different encoding (won't help with the device syncing variation though), and/or disable the convert to 128 kbps AAC when syncing option.
    (2) Replace your CoreAudioToolbox.dll version 7.9.4.0 with a 7.9.3.0 as per:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=12576816#12576816
    (3) Or, replace your CoreAudioToolbox.dll version 7.9.4.0 with a shadow copy of a 7.9.3.0 as per:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=12583499&#12583499
(2 and 3 do help with the syncing variation.)

  • Remove applemobiledevicehelper.exe and why apple doesn't play by the rules?

    Hi all,
I'm just wondering if somebody knows how to remove or rip out applemobiledevicehelper.exe. It's eating up resources and I don't need it since I don't have an Apple mobile device.
On the point of playing by the rules, I'm wondering why Apple believes it can just dump all sorts of crap on my computer that I haven't asked for, need or want. E.g. Quicktime, Applemobiledevicehelper. Apple seems to think it is SO cool that the rules somehow don't apply to them.

    Cheers,
    Marc

How do you remove Apple Mobile Device Support?
I just went to Add/remove programs, found Apple Mobile Device and clicked uninstall.
My iTunes seems to work fine without it, but I have an old iPod, I can't speak for the most recent models.

Why not move your site to a new host and publish using one the two alternative methods...

  • Why does the folder "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Elements" open automatically when I start my PC?

Why does the folder "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Elements" open automatically when I start my PC? How do I adjust settings to stop this from happening?

    Hi,
This folder is probably treated as a program to run at startup.
So you will have to look at the places where such programs are referenced.
For instance, you may have a shortcut to that folder in your Start Menu > Startup.
Or it may be in the Registry.
Click on Start >  Execute, the type msconfig and click OK.
This will show you in the Startup tab all the programs launched at startup.

  • Why Apple is silent about 4s wifi getting greyed out and not responding to this issue? many ppl suffer from this and this is absurd!

Why Apple is silent about iPhone 4s wifi getting greyed out with iOS updates 8.0.2 and 8.1 and did not respond to this issue officially? Many people are suffering from this affected service. How can you trust us to buy new iPhones when you stop supporting us with the ones we have since they are still upgradable to the latest iOS.
Is there any chance that we will be given the support and would this issue be fixed with any upcoming updates? My iPhone when its battery is drained totally and I start it again the WIFI works until I try to choose another network or somehow I disable it then blackout!
This is definitely a software issue that we never had problems before this update.
Show us that you care for your products at least and provide us with a solution please.

    nartal wrote:
That doesn't help at all.. I can only have it enabled if the battery gets drained out totally then when I restart it the WIF is on. then back greyed out.. that is not a serious reply, really!
Yes, it's a serious reply. Did you actually read the information at the link I posted? Especially the last sentence? The fact that it appeared when you updated to iOS 8 has no bearing on the validity of the article. It is not specific to any version.

  • Why apple doesn't send anymore emails after purchases?

    Hello everyone.
I would like to know why apple has stopped sending me an email after my purchases to see how much I have spent, no matter if they were free apps or paid ones?
And why the don't send me an email always to verify if the app was adquire by me or anyone else did the purchase?
    Thanks

I would like to know why apple has stopped sending me an email after my purchases to see how much I have spent, no matter if they were free apps or paid ones?
Give at least 24 to 48 hours before you see an email verification of purchases.
And why the don't send me an email always to verify if the app was adquire by me or anyone else did the purchase?
It's not Apple's policy to do so. It's up to you to check your Purchase History on your iTunes account. If you see any purchases you did not make follow the instructions for reporting here.

  • Why Apple does not ship the iPad/iPad2 with a simple calculator app?

I just wonder what are the rationales, if any, behind the exclusion of a calculator app from iPad.

    Barbara Brundage wrote:
None of us can tell you why apple does or doesn't do anything--we're just other users like you. But there are a number of decent free calculator apps you can get from the app store. I use Calculator XL.
Before I retired one of the projects I worked on was the HP-41CX--I designed and programmed the logic board tester--so when I purchased my iPhone I was quite pleased to see that a very good emulator for the 41CX was available from the app store.
Prior to finding the emulator I had tried several of the free calculators and found them all insufficient for one reason or another. Links to i41CX below.
