Why aren't macbooks (13,3) more for sale ?

Why aren't macbooks 13,3 more for sale ?? They aren't in apple store any more..

They've been discontinued. It's now only MacBook Air and MacBook Pro. There's still some model 7,1 Mid 2010 MacBooks available in the Refurbished section of the Apple Store.

WHY ARE THE UK USERS PAYING MORE FOR THE CLOUD SERVICES????
OR IS IT JUST LAZYINESS THAT YOU CHANGE THE DOLLAR SIGN FOR THE POUND?

it obviously doesn't, but then again some people or organisation only care about price when it comes to purchasing their laptops, and it is hard to justify making a special model for a selected few.
Sure everything can be done if there is a market for it, but Lenovo won't know how large the market is before hand, as such they are hedging a bet by not moving with the market (which Lenovo have done on many occasions). I guess the finanical return is not the worth the risk for Lenovo to keep the 4:3 or 16:10 screens.
But this debate has been going back and forth for a long time, so no point bringing it up again and again.

  • Mac OSX SUS - Why aren't the latest updates offered for some software

For instance, on my sus, Quicktime 7.6.4 is the latest version offered for leopard. 7.6.6 is available on Apple's site. Is there actually a 7.6.6 update others can see on their sus, or is this a universal issue - and why aren't the latest updates available?
    Thanks

I just checked my 10.6.3 SUS server at it appears to have that Quicktime 7.6.6 update listed. The size is listed as 68.5 MB and the post date is 03/30/10. My SUS Server Admin interface shows a "Last Check" time of Apr 13, 2010 3:00:00 AM.
I have wiped and reinstalled my SUS server several times dealing with the "missing 10.6.3" updates bug reported many times in these forums so that may be why my server is displaying the Quicktime 7.6.6 update.

  • Why did I have to pay MORE for a smaller microwave that I bought due to exchanging a defective one?

I bought at Sharp 1.3CU microwave on January 18th, 2014, which went bad today. I took it back to the store for a exchange. Upon entering the store, carrying this microwave, I got to stand in line for about 3 minutes, holding this microwave. Understandable, if I wasn’t the only person in line. Three associates were at the desk, one was on the phone, one was a Geek Squad member, the third scribbling on a sheet of paper. At least two of them made eye contact with me while I stood in the rope line, all alone, holding onto a microwave. So, finally about 2-3 minutes later, an associate makes time for me. The exchange process went well, since the item was still under warranty. I was told that there was no inventory of the one I was returning, so I could get store credit to get a different one. I thought this was strange, the store credit, as she was able to print off a copy of my original receipt because I used my BB credit card for the purchase. In any case, I took my credit and went back to appliances. I found what I thought was the same exact model I just returned. Having worked in retail myself in the past, I knew that at times the computer isn’t always accurate to what’s on the shelf. A young man working in this area was super helpful and carried it up for me. I wish I got his name, because he was awesome. Now, for the best part. I got a new microwave, same brand, same color, same style, but .2CU smaller than the one I just returned…and HAD TO PAY MORE for this smaller microwave than I did for the larger one…so not only did my microwave crap out in less than 60 days, but I had to pay more for a smaller one…doesn’t make much sense…

    Hello RyanJustice,
In my house, a microwave is a must have!  I am a popcorn fiend, and I can’t imagine having to go without one for a long period of time.  While we may not have had your exact model in stock, I’m glad to see we had a microwave that was quite similar to the one you originally purchased. I can see how a price difference might be confusing though, especially as the replacement was slightly smaller than you initially bought.  I’m sorry for the frustration this has caused.
When units like yours fail under manufacturer’s warranty, we usually either send them out for service or exchange right in-store. If we exchange a unit, typically a refund via store credit would be issued up to the purchase price. From here, it may be redeemed towards the purchase of a new one.  However, we can’t process a refund exceeding the original purchase price, and if the current model you chose was more expensive, additional payment would be required.  This means that if your original microwave was on sale for less than the current price of the new one, you would be subject to paying the remaining balance.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.
    Enjoy that new microwave!

  • Why aren't MacBook Pro's offered in white or black?

I don't mean to offend anyone but I'm SO SICK of ugly grey/silver notebooks I could scream! Silver or metal...however you want to describe it is NOT hi tech looking...it's cheap and tacky!
Why doesn't Apple offer the MacBook Pro's in Black and white like the 13.3" models? I would buy one in ma heart beat if they did!
Please Apple, get with it and bring back the hi tech colors, silver is nasty!

There are some intrinsic problems with color anodizing, especially black, and that is that every tiny scratch stands out like a sore thumb. There are other problems with color consistency and color anodizing of large surfaces which make color anodizing more expensive. The clear anodized finish is closest to the natural color of the aluminum, so scratches are less conspicuous. It is a pity that you hate the aluminum so much. Apple is trying to go greener, and the aluminum case is more easily recycled than the plastic case. But it would be nice to have a red anodized MBP to match the red iPod I got off the Apple clearance site.
Elsewhere on the forum there is a debate as to whether the MBP has an anodized or a powder coated case, just to muddy the waters a bit.

  • Why in Australia do we pay more for anything Apple releated? Eg.per song $2 something is a bit rich

Apple really looks after the USA would love to see it else where. Here in Australia one song is no where near the price of USA.

The content providers set the prices. And you need to take into account a country's taxes, in the US the prices that are listed in the store don't include the state's sales tax.

  • How to prepare macbook pro 13" 2011 for sale without any disks?

I am selling my MacBook Pro and would like to know how to completely erase all my information from the laptop? So the the person purchasing can open it like if they barely bought it.

Depending what information is on your hard drive, you may want to take out the hard drive and smash it with a sledge hammer. Just because information is deleted, doesnt mean its gone. The computer just treats the space as empty and will write over it when it needs the space. Informations can still be recoverable even when it is written over. Poeple make their livings off of buying computers or hard drives people sell, digging through the hard drive and finding old information, and using it. They could find your passwords, credit card numbers, social security number, anything that you put on there. So be careful what has been on hard drives when you sell them.

  • Requisitions for sale order stock

Requisitions for sale order stock that are generated directly from the
sales order are not passed to SRM but requisitions that are created
manually for sales order stock are passed to SRM.
Why is the sourcing of a requisition for sales order stock where the
requisition was created directly from the sales order not supported?

    Hi,
We need same requirement, we found only PR's with item category "5"(Third party ) created from sales are transfered to SRM.( It is hard coaded in ECC).
Let us know if you are able to resolve your issue.

  • Would an 11" MacBook Air be more ideal for travelling purposes I.e backpacking?

Would an 11" MacBook Air be more ideal for travelling purposes I.e backpacking?

The most ideal yes, however you MUST use a cushion device to prevent your LCD from recieving pressure AND you must buy a waterproof bag etc to prevent it from getting wet in rain and bad humidity if backpacking outdoors.
Why your MacBook Air needs a warm coat too
While you should never store your notebook in a cold car for any significant time (couple hours or more), in cases where a notebook is being carried thru cold weather in a case, having a padded and zippered (not just a sleeve!) case is very important not just to protect your Macbook from a shock from being bumped or accidentally dropped, but for thermal protection. In coming in from a cold walk or environment, an unprotected and cold notebook is subject to condensation forming not only on the alloy casing but more importantly on internal parts and the logic board which is to be avoided at all costs. Namely when turned on and the fan kicks on and blows warm air around the cold logic board condensation can form and in worst cases either eventually produce a fault or lead to compounded problems where corrosion forms inside your Macbook.
For transporting in the cold, your notebook needs more than a sleeve, rather a padded / insulated carry case to prevent temperature fluctuation from causing condensation.
Extreme climate conditions that call for more than a simple notebook carry bag
For exotic travel, college campuses where distances between buildings in very rainy climates must be made, or in which one may have to travel any distances thru harsh snow, ice, or heavy rains, most all conventional carry bags designed for laptops are very inadequate. Such zippered or snapped bags both do not keep out very high humidity and do not protect much from a deep soaking in what is most often a cloth notebook bag.
Skyward facing zippers on most notebook bags are poor protection from water. Consider one of several options, that being a waterproof hard-plastic case designed for notebooks, or a waterproof rugged bag or case specifically designed to keep out harsh humidity and water. In the case of very thin watertight weather bags, these can often be used inside your existing notebook carry bag.
Watertight pouches, sealing weather bags, and plastic hard-cases to keep out extreme elements, rain, and humidity from reaching your notebook

These are user-to-user forums, you are not talking to Apple here.
If it was an audiobook then they are one-time only downloads, to get it on your other devices you need to sync it to them and not re-download it oneach. You can try contacting iTunes support and see if they will refund or credit you for the second and third downloads : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

  • Why aren't apple doing something to sort out the facetime app for mac

Why aren't apple doing something to sort this out, there is obviously something wrong as so many people seem to be having the same or very similar problems, I was about to buy the facetime app for my mac but not sure I should now
Come on apple, no use sticking your head in the sand, get it sorted.
After all, you are quite happy to take peoples money for your app, the least you can do is to ensure it works.

Backing up and restoring is not the same as downgrading.
Apple have stopped signing 5.1.1 which is why you can't downgrade.
