Why can a new Nano record video but my iPhone 3G can't

Does the Nano have a faster CPU than the iPhone 3G, or is Apple just trying to make you want a 3GS? Really doesn't make sense

It has a different camera in it, not say that camera can't do it but the new one is better.

Recording video but it's without sound on iphone 4

when i playback the recorded video there's no sound :S

I also had this problem a couple of weeks ago. I recorded video on my iphone 4s and there was no sound on playback, but when I synced the video to my MBP, the audio was there. I was surprised I couldn't find the answer on the internet. I found some postings where people said to stick a pin in the hole next to the microphone, and they swore that worked. But, that sounded a little dangerous to try on my new iphone4s.
So I finally went to the genius bar and asked them. It turned out that the volume buttons on the side of the iphone are set differently for each of the built-in apps that use it. So while I had the volume set comfortably for cell phone use, it turned out that it was set to zero for video playback within the Camera app.
As a former user interface designer, it's perplexing to me that the volume buttons DO NOT universally apply to all the apps on the iPhone. You'd think the Apple manuals or website would tell users, but I couldn't find this in any of their documentation online. So I hope this helps, and put your pins down right now!

for the key clicks try to go under settings>sounds and see if the "change woth buttons" is pushed to ON. and try to change the volume when your clicking the keyboard
if that doesnt work, then try playing a song to see if your volume is down, or if your speakers are capoot

There was no problem previously, but suddenly i got this problem with no reason. I also unable to copy the video to my computer using itunes. So please helppp...

See if it helps to delete the firmware file and download a new one:
Rename, move, or delete the iOS software file (.ipsw)
iTunes uses "ipsw" files to restore your iPod or iPhone. If those files are unusable, then try deleting them, renaming them, or moving the file to a different directory. This will cause iTunes to download a new copy of the IPSW. When a restore issue is specific to a user, it is likely due to an unusable .ipsw file. If removing the .ipsw file does not resolve a user-specific restore issue, then the issue is caused by other user-specific security software settings or iTunes preferences. Creating a new user will also cause new .ipsw restore files to be downloaded in the new user. You can find the ".ipsw" files in these locations:
Mac OS X
iPhone
~/Library/iTunes/iPhone Software Updates
iPad
~/Library/iTunes/iPad Software Updates
iPod touch
~/Library/iTunes/iPod Software Updates
Note: The tilde "~" represents your Home directory.

when I record video on my iphone 4 the playback of the audio sounds like it is muffled and is not as loud as it should be? I have had the phone for 2 years and the last time I had used it to record a video was in July of this year. The sound came out crisp and clear. Now when ever I play back videos the audio is muffled and at a lower volume than it should sound like. I have the volume set all the way up when I record and my hands are not covering the microphone and/or near to affect the audio playback.

My new ipod nano plays videos but there is no sound, why?

My new iPod nano that plays videos has no sound going along with them. It's not a problem with the iPod, (I don't think) because the sound won't play on iTunes either, yet my music in playing just fine both on my ipod nano and in itunes. I dragged and dropped the video into itunes then I converted the video then used the convert selection for ipod. Why is there no sound? Is there something I am doing wrong? My 30gb ipod did worked just fine when I did it that way but my new ipod nano won't. Is there something else I have to do before I can watch and listen to videos?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

QuickTime expects video files with separate video and audio tracks, but many MPEG formats used a muxed (multiplexed) single track that contains both. Therefore, iTunes & the iPod (both of which use QuickTime) only show the video and no sound.

5530 Xpress Music can record video but cannot take...

I got a problem with my nokia 5530 xpress music and i saw on many forum that many people have this problem.
When launching camera i can recorde video without any problem but when switching to photo mode nothing apear, it enter the interface to take the photo but no image appear on the screen.
There are many people discussing about the same problem for the 5530 ? what the problem with this mobile phone.
I try to update the firmware with nokia ovi software updater, doing hard reset, format and factory default, but still same problem.
Nokia please dont tell us to go to the nearest service centre. Because here in mauritius it cost a lot of money.
I take a photo of the issue as you can see it enters image mode, nothing appars. Wheras in video mode i can see and recorde normally. So what the problem with all the Nokia 5530 xpress music on the market ??
I think that nokia fail on this model.
To many people having similar issue...
So nokia do you provide someting for this issue...

Them Phone is not completely lay on the table, please see the video file you will have a better idea of the exact problem ... Some test i did shifting between photo mode and video mode.

How can I record videos on my iphone on the new iOS ?!

I've just recently updated my iOS after restoring my phone and I've lost the video icon in the camera app where it normally was! Im panicking! How can i record videos again?

hey Im having trouble transfering the videos that i recorded using my new ipod nano I turned the ipod to enable disk use and i can see where the movie is on the ipod and i can drag it onto my desktop , BUT when i try to view the video using quicktime the video looks all green and fuzzy and u can only hear the audio of the video but u dont see any picture other than green and fuzzy wierd on the quicktime screen???!??!?!??!?! i can view the videos fine using the ipod but i cant view them on my pc ??? can someone help me? and is anyone else having this problem??

Your topic is misleading. According to your post, you are not having issues viewing videos on your iPod. The problem is viewing the videos on your desktop using Quicktime. You will be better off posting in the QuickTime for Windows forum.

Why does photo booth stop recording video randomly

Im trying to record short videos using photobooth about 3 mins long. but when i record. more than half the time it will say that it is recording the whole thing
but when i stop the recording, only about fraction of what i wanted will be there.
Ex. i just recorded about 3m 30sec of video...and when i stopped it....only 32 seconds of video was recorded.....
Why is this happening?

Why won't new nano pair with BMW?

I just bought the new nano. I like everything about it but am disappointed about the inability to pair it with the bluetooth in my 2008 BMW 328i.
According to bmwusa.com, my vin # has the latest bluetooth that BMW offers. I'd think that would mean it would pair, but it will not.
Caveats:
1.) I have meticulously followed the BMW instructions on bluetooth pairing.
2.) I can pair my iPhone 4s in this vehicle
3.) I tried deleting the 4s and power cycling both the car and the nano. But I still could not not pair the nano.
Anyone out there know how to solve this?

Do you by chance know if a car's bluetooth can be upgraded to A2DP?
Btw, I checked with my BMW dealer and they couldn't really help. Their only feedback was that my 2008 vehicle has the latest-and-greatest bluetooth offered by BMW and that their 2012 models have no capabilities beyond that of my 2008.

Why isnt the new nano(7th) workout friendly? Wheres' the clip?

My nano 6th generation went in the washer, is there anyway to fix it without buying a 220$ new one? Id get the new nano, but theres no clip, kinda worthless.

You can do an out-of-warranty replacement at your nearest Apple Store for $65/$75. You will get a service replacement.

New nano - installed software but after that, the assistant never popped up

brand new nano; installed software and it says the "assistant" is supposed to pop up and tell you to connect nano. assistant never popped up, but software installation said it was successful. so i connected ipod. now it's been sitting there connected and charging FOREVER and says "do not disconnect." shouldn't it be doing something by now?
