I set up my apple id so that i could download music from itunes, but when i try to buy a song, I get a message that says this account has not been used yet. I go through and review info, but still cannot buy the music and this keeps happening. What have I done wrong?
You set up email accounts on the iPad in Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Add Account. You have a choice of some of the most popular email providers in the setup list or you can select Other at the bottom.
Tap on the provider that is applicable and begin the setup on the iPad.

sathishI have the same problem. I think that someone tried my iphone before me because when I want to reset it, I'm invited to enter a password that I didn't set. Also, when I go the Map application, the iphone indicate that I'm locateded in China while I'm in Tunisia. Now, I can't connect to my iphone to itunes, and I can't reset it because it ask me to enter a password that I didn't set.

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, clicking here and picking a method for your country, and filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

I live in China, have Dutch nationality, and no US address or Credit Card; how can I have access to products from the US iTunes store, in particular music, when such items are not available from the China iTunes store? In general, what are the differences between countries' iTunes offerings? Does one really need an address and a credit card for any country to be able to access that countries iTunes store? Why these restrictions?
You cannot.
You cannot use another countrys itunes store.
You must be physically locates inside the borders of a country to use that countrys itunes store and a credit card issued in that country with a valid billing address in that country.
The owners of the distribution rights of movies/music/etc differ by country. These distributors decide who can sell their content in that country.
Buy from another source if your countrys itunes store does not carry somehting that you want. -
I have a big problem, I don't know what I touched but when I open up my iTunes I can't see all the icons. The only icons showing are "podcast, iTunes U and Downloads" so in other words I can't find the movies, music etc. Which means I can't buy/rent!

I was wondering why when i restored my iphoe5 from my laptop now when I try to play my music and movies a blog pops up saying (the requested URL was not found on this server)?
The problem resolved itself when I resynced the iPod with my computer. I suspect the error displayed when I tried syncing with my laptop and canceled out of it.

I have subscribed to iTunes Match and have employed it to listen to music on my Macbook Air and iMac. On these devices it seems to operate by streaming music to the device rather than deleting the device's current iTunes library and downloading songs as they are played from iTunes Match. Not so on the iPhone as far as I can tell. Consequently, to date I have not activated iTunes Match on my iPhone 4S. I presently have 40-50GB's of music on my iPhone, sync'd from my iTunes music library on my Macbook Air. I am concerned that if I enable iTunes Match on my iPhone I will lose the music library already on my iPhone, as Apple seems to be representing that once iTunes Match is enabled on the iPhone the current music library, carefully compiled, will be gone from the iPhone forever (unless I later re-sync it from the iTunes library on my laptop), that it will be deleted. Although this would free up a lot of space on my iPhone, I bought the 64GB phone just so that I could keep a lot of music on it and accessible at all times. I am concerned that in certain instances, say if I am in the subway and want to listen to music on my iPhone but don't have internet access below ground, that I won't have much music to listen to, only those songs previously played and thus downloaded onto the phone from iMatch, presenting me witrh a rather limited choice of music to play instead of the 40-50GB's I now have to choose from. Apple seems to have presented me with the choice of the lesser of 2 evils: i) enable iTunes Match and lose the music library already on the iPhone in exchange for access to iTunes Match and a greater number of songs than I can fit onto the phone (my library exceeds the phone's capacity) when a Cloud connection is available or ii) don't enable iTunes match and limit myself to only those songs, a considerable portion of my library to be sure but not all of it, that I can fit in the phone's storage space, i.e., the 40-50 GB's I have on there now. If I choose the latter course, each time I purchase an album I'll have to delete another album to make room for it on the phone. Apple thus offers me a sort of Hobson's choice, bad all the way around. Do I have this right? The Apple techs I've spoken to don't seem to have a handle on the "deletion" aspect of enabling iTunes Match on the iPhone. Right now, I'm too scared of "losing" my iPhone music library to enable iTunes Match on the iPhone. [Possible work-around, albeit a pain in the ***: I suppose that I can enable iTunes Match on the iPhone and spend the next couple of weeks 24/7 downloading songs from my iTunes Match library back onto the phone to replace at least some of those deleted when Match was enabled, thereby rebuilding a proxy library on the phone itself to play when I'm stuck in a tunnel between Brooklyn and Manhattan while maintaining access to thee larger iTunes Match library, more music than my phone will hold, once we come back into the light and my Cloud connection is restored.] Comments, suggestions will be appreciated. Why can't I update or load new apps on my iPhone and iPad. It does not ask me for my password. I tried to sync from my laptop now I am unable to connect to any sites from internet explorer. When I try to update or load any app it tells me it is corrupt

I have an iTunes account where I have downloaded Digital movies & I am able to see the list on the desktop of the original downloads. When I log on another device with my login I do not see my list to access them. Why can't I access from another device

When streaming a movie with the new Apple TV, and using a DSL Internet connection, all audio sound works, e.g., the music track, but the audio track with the actor's voices, does not work. What can I do?

Thanks restoring and restarting didn't fix my problem - i have started it fresh and still it doesn't work. Basically I press ONCE on the remote, after the machine has not had any commands for 10 minutes, and the cursor skips from one end of the menu to the other - so I can't choose network or update software etc - I sometimes manage to stop it randomly in the middle of the menu if I press on a command in the middle of the cursor skipping all the menu steps...not sure what the problem is but I have basically not used my brand new apple tv since I bought it for that reason! I should call Apple support I suppose! grrrr hate wasting time with stuff like this!

When I tried to buy ankimobile for my iPad, I got a message that my account was not accepted in the Australian store, and to transfer to the U.S. store. I don't know how I got to the Australian store and I tried but can't figure out how to get back so I can buy the ankimobile. I have never gotten this message before and never even knew there was more than one store. Is the ankimobile an Australian app? What should I do?

The sound quality of my speaker suddenly got really poor when playing music or videos. Sounds like an old AM radio or Sputnik. Pretty sure it's hardware related but maybe not. Thoughts on what the problem might be and if it can be repaired?
The batterys the ipods come with are very sensetive somtimes they dont react right to the first couple of charges. Try fully charging it and then leaving it on until its completely drained a few times. If that doesnt work it might be a lemon.

i can no longer connect to itunes. a message comes up "we could not complete your itunes request. The itunes store is temporarily unavailable. please try again later. but when i use a different acct. it goes through right away . why did this start happening?
I don't know - but I am having the same problem and have not had any useful help from Apple Support. Everything they told be to do has been done and it hasn't fixed the problem.

I purchased music on my iPad (and it works fine). It populated my purchased list on my home computer but will not download (purchase is no longer a given option) ?? when I access it in the iTunes store I can click on play but nothing happens…how do I get it to download on my computer ?
If you connect your iPad to your computer's iTunes and do File > Devices > Transfer Purchases then it should copy over to your iTunes library. Depending upon what country that you are in you might also be able to redownload it on your computer's iTunes via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage.
