Thanks for your time up front. I have been using FF for years and really enjoy it. 99% of all I do is in FF. Since moving to Win 8.1, whenever I need to download something I must open another tab or window. For documents or pictures that's fine, unnecessary step, but fine. However on secure sites like a bank, this will not work. If I do not open another tab/window the download just dies/vanishes/stops and if I open the tab/windows the secure site just reloads itself but does not download. Other browsers work fine but I prefer FF. I have tried the basic steps suggested to others with this problem but they do not work i.e. clear download folder, reset downloads, etc. Suggestions would be appreciated.

Does this happen with downloads from every page? What happens exactly? Do you have to actually right click on the download link and open it in a new tab/window for the download to start? This is a confusing complaint...and kind of disturbing. Perhaps you could answer a few questions:
1. How much space is left on your HD? If there weren't any available space left, it would be very difficult to boot your applications.
2. Do you back up at all? Given your situation, it might be a good time to start, given the situation. Backup drives are relatively inexpensive these days.
If this problem persists, a visit to your local Apple Store might be a good idea - but until then, please let the community here help.

Why can't I download anything from the App Store?

I tried downloading a free app from the apple App Store but I now get a message saying there was a problem taking payments and I have to update my credit card details. This is confusing as the app is free and I have never tried paying for an app without having the money in my bank to pay for it. Why does it now tell me I ended credit card details to install an app and why has the error occurred with my bank details?

Check to make sure your credit card details (like expire date, etc) are current.

Why can't I download anything on my iPad?

My iPad won't let me download anything on my iPad, but everything is fine. I have a strong working connection and no problems. When I download something from my App Store, the app just sits on my screen and is always "waiting". It doesn't even show the design of the app. It just shows the design state where it is a circle with 3-4 lines running through it for every app I download. I can delete things though. I also try to check the diagnostics and usage for crashes/errors, but whenever I click settings>general>about , the screen freezes and I have to double-click to exit out, but I can never get to the diagnostics and usage.

1. Make sure iPad is using the latest software
2. Settings>General>Date and Time>Set Automatically>On
3. Make sure Time Zone is correct
4. Reset iPad. Hold the Sleep and Home button down until you see the Apple Logo.

You have 10 6 8 which is Snow Leopard... If you want 10 7 2 you will need to Purchase Lion from the Mac Apps Store.
First you need to check that your Mac meets the System Requirements for Lion...

Why can't safari download anything on my iPad?

I have attempted to down load many things with my I pad and nothing has worked. From small files on email to audio books on audible.com. I am not tech savvy at all. Please help.

Everything on the iPad has to be stored in an app, it doesn't have a 'file system' as you have on 'normal' computers - you should be able to save PDFs or epubs to the iBooks app, pictures to the Photos app.
Audible.com have their own app in the app store that you can use for purchases from them (the only way to get content into the built-in Music app is either by downloading it directly on the iPad from the iTunes store app, or by syncing it from iTunes on your computer), and for email what are trying to download ? There is the built-in Mail app which allows you to copy photos/videos to the Videos app, or PDFs/documents into other apps.

I'm trying to download update 3.6.16, using the new way of getting updates. First I get a dialogue box saying an update is available & recommends I take it. There's two buttons :
"ASK LATER" or "UPDATE FIREFOX"
If I click to update, I get this window :

And that's all that happens. It never connects, I never get the update. What's going wrong? The old way of getting updates always worked for me (the update downloaded in the background, and would install the next time I launched FF).

ok so the download problem with my iphone.. what could be the cause of that? ive restarted and deleted the "undownloaded app" over 10 times already. and restarted the iphone 10 times... next thing i know i cant install itunes on my laptop.... geez man..
obviously there is a fix which someone will help... but why should i have to go through all that crap to install a so called uncomplicated software... when you think about it this really shouldnt even be an issue.
normally if the thing dosent work. normally with most programs you just uninstall the uncompleted software and just reinstall and everything is usually good to go.. help!

Why can't I download Photoshop CC(2014) and why does my Creative cloud app show updates for CC(2014) products I do not have?

Why can't I download Photoshop CC(2014) to my Mac Pro desktop running OSX 10.9.3. My Creative Cloud app shows updates for all apps that I have as CS6 on my desktop but I have only subscribed to Photoshop CC. Lightroom shows Install but it is installed. Trying to Install Photoshop CC(2014) results in and error message "Installation failed Errors encountered during installation.(7) more information.
More information gives Exit Code: 7

I also cannot directly download from my account on the web. This has been going on for a week or more and I have tried numerous suggestions on the forums but got nowhere. I uninstalled Creative Cloud app today but could not find the installer again so I assume that was deleted. I cannot download that now as on Adobe's site it says we are experiencing problems. Aren't we all.
I was happy with CC until last week but now cannot recommend it.
I also have a Macbook Pro retina and Photoshop CC(2014) downloaded no problem on that.
