Why did you kidnap me away from opening my home page and force me to your "introductory" pages that I did not want to see?
When I opened my Firefox browser this morning, I was "kidnapped' and taken away from my home page and forced to deal with your introductory pages about the "new Firefox." Why did you do this? I already have a mother, so I don't need another one. If it happens again I'll mostly change away from Firefox.

This may qualify as inept problem of the year. Opened tube of crazy glue with a pin down the nozzle and the interior pressure squirted two tiny shots of glue onto screen. I was two or so feet away from Mac Book Pro. Tried to remove them quickly but of course that only left behind two smudges. Any ideas?
Take the computer to an Apple store or an AASP. Whichever is more convenient for you. Will be cheaper than paying for a new screen if you scratch or tear it using a razor blade.

I guess you have picked up some sort of adware or malware. Try to check and get reviews on both software and download sites. Then take care to read the small print about what is being installed.
Run scans with multiple and up-to-date tools. Hopefully it will be easily detected and removed. I would not suggest you try any manual hacks or edits of the Windows registry. (Once rogue files are removed any residual registry entry will not normally do any harm.)
Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.
You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

Claudius,either you didn't read my post, or you jumped to conclusions. I had a skype account that was created using a microsoft account (NOT THE ACCOUNT I AM USING NOW). PURE MICROSOFT ACCOUNT NO OTHER ACCOUNT LINKING.I had to change the primary mail of that account.I was told "no can do" by skype support.I found that if I went to account settings and clicked on the link on the line below the one that said "MICROSOFT etc" (labeled something along the lines of "TV or Device") I got the opportunity to set the password of the "live:username" account (WHICH YOU COINCIDENTALLY HAVE TO DO IF YOU WANT TO USE SMART TVs ETC).Once that was done, I COULD SUCCESSFULLY DO WHAT SKYPE SUPPORT SAID WAS IMPOSSIBLE- I could change the primary mail address. once that was done, and NOT BEFORE, I linked the account to a facebook account as well, just to be sure I have more than one way to access the skype account. What caused you to get the impression that I was writing something else? furthermore this sentence - "The solution you described in your initial message isn't actually once since all the time you were operating on different account that weren't actually linked" does not make sense, I think you mis-edited it.and I need to point out that you are incorrect. I WAS NOT OPERATING ON DIFFERENT ACCOUNTS I WAS OPERATING ON ONE SKYPE ACCOUNT, THAT WAS CREATED USING A MICROSOFT ACCOUNT just like you say you recommend. I still don't know how you can misread my initial entry like that. Everytime i google something, I expect safari to open the link i click in the same window and same tab - as it did before - but now it always opens a new tab! I'm getting really tired of that! Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then disable them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit. -
When I try to open some pictures in finder with preview I get a message that I do not have permission to open it. It tells me to go to file - info. Don't know what to do from there.
When you do Get Info for a picture, what does it say in Sharing & Permissions for your username. The Privilege should be "Read & Write"

It might be out of memory. Close all apps you're not using using the toolbar that comes up when you double click on the home button. Press and hold any icon and then tap on the red minus (-) symbol of the apps you're not using.

How do you Change the sent from email for iCal invitations on my iPad. It uses the iCloud email but I want it to use my work email.
It keeps sending from my bosses ICloud account, we are all synced at work but I want all my invitations to come from me, not my bosses iCloud account!

I have tick the options - do not allow pop up ads. But is still appears allot. It makes working on web imposssible. I do not want to see the ads or want it to open in new windows. I do not want then at all!!!!

Upgraded to Firefox 4, and have a number of tabs open, and for no reason a tab will clear the loaded page and default to a bing search page, when I check extensions and addons there is no sign of bing so havent a clue how it is doing this
I dont know whether this is related but since upgrading to version 4 everyso often the page will go into a loop if you are trying to refresh the page and the anticlockwise comfort bar will keep spinningProblem involving videos played from the YouTube site is much less noticeable after upgrading from FF 4.0b8 to 4.0b9, but still occurs with embedded YouTube videos, where blacking out of other portions of the window still happens.

I have some music content in my itunes library that I do not want to sync with my ipod touch. The content has previously been synced and I want to remove it without deleting it from my itunes library. Is this possible?
Hi Pez,
iTunes in the Cloud is not iCloud. Any songs that you have purchased but have not downloaded (or have deleted), go to iTunes in the cloud. The setting I mentioned will show all of your purchases in the various views in the Music app, whether they are on your device or not. If you turn that setting off, you will only see items that are actually on your device.
Glad to hear the second sync worked! But if they all start appearing again, make sure that setting is turned off
