Why do selections from waveforms insert into a multi track at the 14 hour mark?

Currently having an issue on Audition (Creative Cloud) where every time I highlight a section from a waveform and send it to a multi track, it inserts it at around the 14 hour mark, making my original timeline of around 5 minutes a pain to work on. Even with an edit undo, the timeline still remains at a stupid length making navigating very difficult.
Any suggestions on how I can solve this? I've worked on other versions of Audition before and never had this issue.

Audition has the ability to import files into the Mulitrack at the Timecode specified within the file header. You can turn this option off in the Preferences/Multitrack page by unticking "Use embedded timecode when inserting clips into Multitrack".

My task is to collect data from about 30 tables inside MySQL database and then insert it to similar tables in Oracle.
Script should copy data one a day, during the night.
Number of rows in each table is about 30,000.
MySQL version 5.1
Oracle version 11.1.7
Both of them are installed on really fast servers.
The way i would do it is:
1. connect to MySQL
2. connect to Oracle
3. select data from MySQL table and insert it to Oracle table.
repeat this step for each table
More precise about SELECT and INSERT:
handle_one = "SELECT a, b, c FROM mysql_table1";
while(handle_one is true)
INSERT a, b, c INTO oracle_table1;
4. close MySQL connection
5. close Oracle connection

first find the link between mara , marc and zperson , if u have link to 3 tables then u can jus write a join and populate the table u want ( thats final table with all the fields).
u defenitely have alink between mara and marc so join them and retrieve all data into one internal table.
then for all the entries in that internal table retrieve data from zperson into another internal table.
then loop at one internal table
read another internal table where key equals in both the tables.
finally assign fileds if sy-subrc = 0.
gs_finaltable-matnr = gs_table-matnr
etc...
and finally append gs_finaltable to gt_finaltable.
there u go ur final table has all the data u want.

How to insert into two differents tables at the same time

I'm newer using JDev, (version 3.1.1.2 cause the OAS seems to support just the JSP 1.0)
and I want to insert into two differents tables at the same time using one view.
How can I do that ?

Oracle 8i supports 'INSTEAD OF' triggers on object views so you could use a process similar to the following:
1. Create an object view that joins your two tables. 'CREATE OR REPLACE VIEW test AS SELECT d.deptno, d.deptname, e.empname FROM DEPT d, EMP E'.
2. Create an INSTEAD OF trigger on the view.
3. Put code in the trigger that looks at the :NEW values being processed and determines which columns should be used to INSERT or UPDATE for each table. Crude pseudo-code might be:
IF :NEW.deptno NOT IN (SELECT deptno FROM DEPT) THEN
INSERT INTO dept VALUES(:NEW.deptno, :NEW.deptname);
INSERT INTO emp VALUES (:NEW.deptno, :NEW.empname);
ELSE

UPDATE dept SET deptname = :NEW.deptname

If I "force quit" then it seems to download them, but will do nothing else, including verifying and deleting the images from my camera. It worked fine prior to the update.

"Create Table from select Query" Vs "Insert into"

Schenaio:
My Select Query returns more than 10 million records, these records needs to be inserted into another table.
Approach 1:
I created table called TABLE1, and inserted the records using INSERT statement as a batch (batch size is 5000).
Approach 2:
I create table like,
CREATE TABLE TABLE1 AS <SELECT QUERY>
Here Apporach-1 took almost 40 minutes to complete the insert but Approach-2 took only 6 minutes.
If anybody knows why it is? And is there any way to improve the performance of Approach-1?.

Most "batch" methods execute the same query multiple times. Row filtering is done after the rows are fetched from the source. The process of fetching all the rows could be a FullTableScan.
Therefore, a FullTableScan is executed for each batch of 5000 rows.
However, your query and batch definitions may well be different. We haven't seen the query and the execution plan.
Another point : How are you "filtering" the rows (i.e the second execution inserts rows 5001 to 10000 and does not attempt to reinsert rows 1 to 5000) ?
What is the overhead imposed by the filter ? (does the third execution have to exclude rows 1 to 10000 and inserts rows 10001 to 15000 and so on)

Selection breaks after inserting into dataProvider

I have been battling this issue for a couple of days now. I
have a HorizontalList that is using an itemRenderer component that
I created. When I insert an item into the dataProvider using
addItemAt....
1) the item is inserted
2) i see the item rendered correctly in the HorizontalList
However, the selection breaks. What I mean by this is the
newly added items does NOT highlight when I roll over it and if I
click on it, it does not select. This only happens for the newly
added item, all the others that were already in the list work fine
(highlight and can be selected).
I've tried calling validateNow() on the HorizontalList after
inserting into the dataprovider but it doesn't help at all.
Please help.

I can't believe this, but after 2 days of trying to figure
this out I figured it out just moments after posting to the forum!
Here is what fixed it and I am not sure exactly why. At this
point I don't care...
The dataProvider I was using contained a list of custom
objects. I had a property on the class called uid. When I commented
out this property, everything worked. I don't know what made me
think to try this. I guess my uid property on the class was
conflicting with the uid property on the itemRenderer component or
something.

I am working with a jdbc-to-jdbc scenario, in which on source side iam geting data from 2 tables t1 & t2 and inserting this data into two tables tb1 & tb2 on target side.A field in tb2 has to be inserted with a value which is equal to the number of records inserted into the table tb1 i.e with the number equal to 'how many records from the table t1 has been retrieved inorder to insert into table tb1'.
Can anybody please suggest me.....

Can select, but cannot insert into oracle tables using php.

I am having trouble inserting data into a tables in oracle using PHP. I can insert into the tables using baninst1, but nothing else. I can't even insert using the tables' owner. Every time I try I get the ORA-00492 error of table or view does not exist. However, I can run a select statement just fine. So far, baninst1 is the only user that can actually do inserts. I've triple checked all the table grants and everything is fine. Also, I can copy/paste the exact insert statement into SQL*Plus and it works with the correct user. It doesn't have to be baninst1. I've tried everything I can think of. I've tried putting the table name in quotes, adding the schema name to the table, checking public synonyms, but everything appears to be ok. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions others may have.
I'm using PHP 5.2.3 with an oracle 9i DB.

Here is the code that doesn't work. It works only with baninst1, no other username will work and all I do is change the my_username/my_password to something different. This is one example function where I try to do an insert, but it doesn't work on any of the tables I try.

I have simple example :
First one - Join 5 tables
data : f1 type i,
          f2 type i,
          f3 type i.
start-of-selection.
get run time field f1.
write the query 4 or 5 tables join.
get run time field f2.
f3 = f2 - f1 ( Total time).
Second one - joins 3 table and use for all entries
data : f1 type i,
          f2 type i,
          f3 type i.
start-of-selection.
get run time field f1.
write the query 3 tables join and use for all entries
get run time field f2.
f3 = f2 - f1. ( Total time )
Finally you can have time diffrence between the both sql statement.

Why does "SELECT * FROM [database].[schema].[table]" not work in Azure ?

In Microsoft Azure I have 2 databases.
I work since more than 10 years with T-SQL and I always use
fully qualified object names, means "[database].[schema].[table]".
When I now make a connection to my database "A" in Azure and
write a Query against database "B" ("SELECT * FROM [B].[schema].[table]")
I get an exception. Of course when I connect to database "B" it works
but again not to database "A". When I use "SELECT * FROM [schema].[table]"
with the right database connected, it also works in Azure.
Hope you understand what I mean :-)
In MS-SQL, this of course works fine.
Well my question is: What sense does this make ??
Do I now have to re-write everything just for azure or will this behavior changed sometimes ?
I know MS-SQL is not the same like Azure-SQL, but hey; does Microsoft think all projects have only one database ?? :-)

According to your description, you want to retrieval data cross database in SQL Azure, right?
As June said, Currently cross database joins are not supported in SQL Azure. Also you cannot change database mid query so you cannot, for example, put a USE [MyDB] in your query either. Please refer to the link below to see the details.

How do you keep display only fields from being inserted into tables?

Morning I have a problem where I am displaying a couple fields on a screen and they are tring to insert in to a table.
I am running Apex 4.1 on 11Gr2, i am building a set of screens, on the first one the user inputs a subject ID, that branchs to a second screen that uses the subject id to do a lookup for a couple fields for display. there are a couple field the user feels in and a row is inserted in to a differnet table. But Apex is tring to insert the lookup fields in to the second table when I really only need the subject ID.
How can I tell Apex which fields to use in the insert and which not to try to uses. I see in the debug it is getting all the screen fields in the inserty statement.

In the insert process, take the cols out which you don't want to insert, say,
insert into tbl (col1, col2, ....) value (p1, p2, ...)
=>
insert into tbl (col1, col5, ....) values (p1, p5, ...)

Why is a special character Â inserted into my drafts?

After I save a draft, and then return later to finish it.... I frequently (more times than not) find that Thunderbird has inserted a ton of Â characters in the email, all over. Usually at the end of every sentence. Often the are 3 in a row, with spaces between: Â Â Â

I've been having the same problem recently. Checked the character encoding and it was set for utf-8. After several tests, I found that setting incoming and outgoing encoding to Western ISO-8850-1 solved the problem.
