why is there a better deal on the 4g phones with the data plan of 4gigs for $30 and i have to pay $30 for 2gigs on my driod 3 . i dont think my town even supports the 4g phones i thinkn verizion should let others get the 4gig data plan for $30 whats the big deal they still makeing a killing on the data plans

Verizon is trying to get all their customers on 4G devices and all of their new Androids will have LTE. Also, with the higher data speeds, 4G devices burn through data a lot faster than 3G devices do. In the 2 years I had my Eris, I never broke 2 gigs of data in a month, even downloading custom ROMs straight to my phone on a regular basis. With my Rezound, I'm averaging 3 - 4 gigs without even thinking about it.

When I go in I cloud data storage, it says I have 3.3gb from an old phone which was replaced by a new phone. The new phone has 1.2gb of data. Can I now get rid of the data on the old phone from the i cloud.

When you delete an iCloud backup it is permanently deleted and not available in the future to restore from. The backup of your second phone only contains the data and settings from that phone. If any of this data was inherited from your first phone, it would be contained in the backup of your second phone as it was on your second phone when it was backed up.
If you want to keep backups of your old phone, back them up in iTunes and they will remain on your computer. Even if you are backing up to iCloud, you can manually back up your phone in iTunes by right-clicking on the name of your phone on the left side of iTunes and selecting Back Up. iTunes will see each device as a separate device, and will maintain the backups separately. Do this with your first phone and you can then delete the iCloud backup and you will have the iTunes backup on your computer should you ever want to access it.

Hey iPod touch users 101, Have you done trouble shooting 101? (couldn't resist, the 101 thing just screaming to be done, anyway...) Most often the little switch inside the headphone port gets stuck open, so your iPod thinks the headphone jack is still pulled in. Try looking the port with your iPod turned off, do you see anything, pocket lint is most often the culprit. If you see something attempted to blow it out, or use a probe to carefully remove the foreign debris. If that does not work, or you do not see anything, try quickly plugging / unplugging the headphone jack several times about 12 times, free the switch, if contacts are corroded this action should clean them. Check for foreign debris again, may need to repeat this action. Hopefully this solves your issue. You can also try resetting, press and hold the power and home buttons together until the Apple logo appears then release both buttons, or go into Settings>General>Reset, then tap Reset All Settings, but I think from what you have described you problem is hardware not software. If problem continues, contact your Apple store or the Apple Genius Bar, and set up an appointment to have your iPod evaluated. Good luck, Cheers.

Sorry to hear of your problem, but any hardware in a computer can fail - that includes the hard drive, the logic board, etc, etc. Fortunately, it usually doesn't happen that soon; however, I've read of hard drives failing within 6 months.
So, since you did not purchase the extended Applecare Protection Plan (3 years coverage), you will need to make a decision to repair or sell it as is. I would always purchase 3 year coverage for an all in one or a laptop because repairs are expensive and at least I'd be covered for 3 years.
We can't speculate on whether there should be a recall or not; these forums are for user to user assistance with technical problems. In your case, there is nothing we can help with since you've already gotten a diagnosis.

Why is the file browser unable to sort by date added (Safari, Mail, etc)?

When I use the file browser (e.g. when I browse for a file to attach to an email or browse for a file to upload through a form) and try to sort by date added, it doesn't work.
I can see the column for "date added" and it displays the correct date. I can sort by other properties and it works. But when I sort by "date added" it lists files that were added a while ago under "today" and the files recently added are under "no date" (even though they all have a correct date). The list doesn't seem to change day-to-day (e.g. files under "today" remain the same).
Does anyone know what could be wrong? Am I the only one with this issue?

the problem is that the internal dtd should get applied and the parsing should throw an erroe which it is not doing the Domparser is parsing the xml file successfully ..

HT1560 If diagnostics says appletv is working properly, why does the install keep getting stuck on pairing with the computer then back to select resolution over and over.

First gen Appletv suddenly stopped working from one night to the next. This has happened in the past once and the usual restore, reboot, etc, tinkering finally snapped it back into working quite unexpectadly. The symptom is, after restore when it gets to the screen to pair with itunes by entering the numbers in itunes, the number is briefly up on the tv screen and then quickly is gone returning to the select resolution page. This happens over and over with each try while the Appletv never shows up in itunes and the number box never appears either to pair the computer with the Appletv. It does the same thing with my intel macbook so I don't think it's the Imac. I have dumped itunes 10 and reloaded itunes 9 with no change in the problem. My IP scanner picks up that the Appletv is on our network as soon as it turns on. I have used wireless, which it finds and logs into, and ethernet which also has it finding my network. I can't test whether it is actually on the network by trying to play a trailer or something because it will not go past that pairing screen in the initial setup. Are the built in diagnostics reliable when they say your appletv is working correctly. The hard drive isn't making any exceptionally loud noise as it spins up. I am stuck with this unit because I use it with a G4 Imac running Tiger 10.4 for a video/audio jukebox at the bar. New ATV won't work with the Imac unless it's running leopard I believe. The thing runs like molasses already so attempting leopard which I don't have anyway would really make it crawl. I love a good mystery/problem but this thing is driving me crazy. If I just could know for sure what component inside was shot I would replace it. Could a hard drive boot up to a degree and then get stuck at one part of the install, or would it have to be the logic board, or something else. Bad juju in the house or something

Message said repairing estimated time 1minute, yeah okay we all know how accurate those are process took about 5 minutes with nothing showing then all of a sudden printer permission repaired notations were flying onto screen in actions box. Do restart for heck of it sign on and so far no message has apeared where it did regularly. I hope this is indeed the fix. In meantime it never hurts to fix permissions so give it a try.

Why does the collision not get removed?

Hi I am trying to remove a lock when the player collects an object. I am using removeChild(Lock); which does indeed remove the lock however, the collision for the lock which would send the player to the lose screen is still there despite the object being removed. Does anyone know why this is and how I would go about removing the collision.

Why does the installer keep getting stuck but no error messages appear in the log?

So as of I think recently, I've been having problems installing things. I'm using installer version 2.1.
I found myself having to re-install a driver for my tablet awhile ago, and every time I tried to install it the installer got stuck in the 90%s somewhere. However, no error window popped up and when i went to look at the log, it didn't show any errors.
I again encountered this same installing problem today when I went to install a newer slightly updated version of Java which would work on os x 10.4 and the installer got stuck at 99% again showing no errors.
Help? I have no idea what the problem could be, I believe it's way beyond me.

Why is the 2630 phone slow?

My 2630 phone seems kinda slow. Everything takes a little more time to load than other s30 phones (like menu, photos toggling, etc) . Is there any way to solve this?
