Why do we reuire multiple aliases

why do we reuire multiple aliases. We can have only one system with one alias. we should directly use the system name. If we are using aliases, then there must be some advantage of it....Please correct me if I am thinking in wrong direction.

There is no right on wrong answer here - you use as many (or as few) as you need.
If you consider business packages for example - lets assume you use Self Service and some other business package from SAP. Its likely that the provided iviews may use different alias names to access systems (SAP_R3_Financials, SAP_R3_HumanResources etc etc). These can be the SAME system from a portal perspective (hence 2 aliases can reference a single system conenctor).
Aliases in no way restrict (or otherwise) the number of users who can access a system.

When you say

,       emp e1you are using two copies of the same table.
Can you imagine using two copies of the same book at the same time?
Say you see a word (like "hyrax") that you don't know. You might look up that word in the dictionary.
The English sentence "Open the dictionary to the page containing the new word." is like this SQL query:
FROM    dictionary
WHERE   :unknown_word BETWEEN low_guide_word and high_guide_wordWhat if you saw that word while reading a book (let's call it book_a).
You might want to leave book_a open, and place the dictionary beside book_a, so you can easily compare how the word is used in book_a with the definition in the dictionary.
This corresponds to joining two tables in SQL:
FROM    book_a
JOIN    dictionary ON unknown_word BETWEEN low_guide_word AND high_guide_word
WHERE   book_a.page = whatever -- NOTE: both tables have a column called pageor you can use aliases for one or both of the tables
FROM    book_a      a

Well given the fact that it is not just myself who is infected and also that this is my 3rd macbook in 1 year because the other 2 efi's were compromised to the point where they were unusable, and also that I must've been to the mac store no less than 100 times in a year for these issues, I beg to differ. Here is what I can show you. This has been ongoing for over a year now.
I will try and show you as much as I can.

Why am I receiving multiple duplicate emails after the initial message comes in, it keeps duplicating them. How do I fix this problem?

For the mailbox where you are receiving duplicates ...
Select the mailbox on the left of the Mail window.
From the Mail menu bar top of your screen click Mailbox > Rebuild
See if that helps the duplication issue.

It is probably related to your calendar syncing with certain services and/or apps that end up duplicating the entries. Investigate your sync settings like iCloud, facebook, etc or apps like Cobook which can sync your contacts/to facebook and gmail contacts. The birthdays for all of those would then show up in ical. If there is some kind of redundancy happening it might even resync the same info from the same place multiple times. If you can zero in on a particular service or app that might be the cause, try temporarily unsyncing it to ical/address book and see what happens.

Why does firefox makes multiple profiles

My name is Mike from the helpdesk of YER.
We have one user with the same problem over and over again.
Our employees have a roaming profile with multiple browsers, but he uses Firefox wich is causing a problem.
There is a datalimit on our user profiles. The problem is that Firefox uses all the space from the user profile.
This causes a storage space error every two days.
To solve it, I open Firefox profile manager, multiple profiles are visible. So I delete the non-used profiles. But this is temporarily, because within a few days, the user contacts us with the same problem.
I also tried to move the profile to his documents with the profile manager to free space, also this didn't solve the problem because Firefox makes new profiles over and over again.
This user is the only one with this problem, and we cannot find a solution.
We thought maybe it has something to do with synchronisation between multiple devices, but he only uses his Firefox profile on his work computer.
I hope you can help me solving this problem. Maybe you can explain why Firefox is creating multiple profiles, or maybe we can change the Firefox profile path, for all the profiles incl. new ones that are created.

I also have been having this problem for way to long to the point I have removed Firefox so many times and have even completely wiped my computer out and did a factory full restore (which I am still upset about) .. I go thru the computer ..hidden files and all and totally delete any and every thing the is related to Mozilla and Firefox.. including the OLD Firefox file it creates even if you do a reset... Now I have two issues.. when you restore a system,, you are given a complete NEW user profile,,, thanks to Firefox pulling from what must be your records.. EVERY past user ID that this computer ever had is back on my system and has permissions on important files under UNKNOWN USER.. and firefox has created tons of dupt files.. example ...I ran to see why system again was slow CCleaner disk analyzer and wow there is over 85,000 files created by Firefox which include duplicating all program files and over (I stopped counting after a certain number) thousands of c:\users\Robie\AppData\local\mozilla\firefox\profile\...\cache2 files every 4 minutes for since i reloaded.. and all system files (only important ones) and links to the old profiles that were infected and/or corrupt over 84k of this ...these are just under the OTHER catagory.. WHY is this repeating over and over

That is not normal. Very few apps are actually running in the background. What troubleshooting steps have you taken? Have you reset the phone by simultaneously pressing the Home and power buttons until the apple appears? Restored from back up? Restored as new?

Why PageController method invoked multiple times per request

I have a page with a customized PageController to override the "prepareModel(LifecycleContext)" method to create bindings dynamically for the page.
I expected the overridden method only invoked once per loading/refresh of the page.
From debugging, I found the overridden method actually invoked 3 times before the page was loaded.
When I put some logic so that bindings only created the 1st time the overridden method invoked, then the page failed to show the data properly as if the binding was missing.
With some debugging, I noticed the PageController invoked multiple times when I added the af:table to the page.
Any idea why prepareModel() got invoked multiple time per loading of a page with af:table ?
How do I determine when to create bindings within prepareModel() so that bindings only created once and the page can use the binding to show the data properly?

I was wandering if it were possible to hide the "from:" field on the phone if we have multiple aliases.
Since an alias is used mostly to receive rather than send, if it were possible, it would be useful to me.

You can try to decrease the value of the pref <b>network.http.max-connections</b> from 255 to a more modest setting like 30 as used in Firefox 3 versions.

Why do I need multiple CDs?

Here's the situation: I have a playlist that should fit on one CD. iTunes tells me it's 11 songs, 44 minutes, 60 MB. They're all mp3s. But, when I go to burn a CD, it tells me the playlist won't fit on one CD and that I need to use multiple CDs. Any ideas why this is happening?
I should mention that the CD consists of a concerto movement, and then several different edited (trimmed) versions of that movement so I can skip directly to those moments in a classroom. Does that have anything to do with it? I've done this exact same thing before and never had this problem, though.

As a teacher, you may not be able to spare $30 for a Quicktime Pro key, but you could use Quicktime Pro to convert the mp3 files to aiff, then burn all those to CD. No guarentee this would solve the problem, but it's the first thing I would try if it were me.
There used to be a great free format conversion utility called SoundApp, but I can't find anywhere anymore. Maybe there's something else out there you can find on versiontracker.com
An inelegant approach to try would be to burn the MP3s to several discs as iTunes insists. Then IMPORT the aiff files from those discs back into iTunes, create a playlist, and REburn it as one disc, if it will let you.
How or where did the trimmed/edited versions of the files come from? Are you using iTunes to set the Start and Stop times on the songs? (Select the song, type "Command - I" then switch to Options and key in start and stop times....)
A shot in the dark guess as to why the mp3s won't fit: Maybe the files are ultra compressed and when iTunes converts them to the less compressed aiff format for CDs, the file size is too big. I have no idea why this would be, but that's the nature of shot in the dark guesses.

I am trying to migrate my iphoto library to a new location but i have 3 libraries to choose from. why were the others created? one library is 90gb, the other 2 are 22 gb
Should i just delete the other 2?

No way for anyone but you to know - you have multiple iPhoto libraries because you have created them - only you know when and why
And only you know if they are ok to trash - depress teh option key, launch iPhoto and use the select library window to open and check each one and then desiece if you want to keep it or delete it

When importing my address book from Outlook why do I have multiple entries for the same contact?

I have an address book and it contains one list in Outlook. I just downloaded Thunderbird and imported my address book. The address book and one list imported very easily but there are anywhere from 3-5 entries for each person in my contacts. If I delete the extras they are removed from my list as well. Why are there multiple listings for each contact and how can I remove the duplicates without losing my list entries?

I just went thru all Seven copies of the pictures (accidental pics of my hands and the desk etc) and right clicked and moved them to trash, then I thought I'd look it up when I realized its not just these pics, but very many had een stored in groups of three or four.

Depends on where you saw them - If they were in the iPhoto library iPHoto has either two or three different versions (no duplicates) or each photos in its library - this is not optional and can not be changed -- If they were not in the iPhoto library then you can do what you please with them and they have nothing to do with iPhoto - iPhoto is only involved with the photos in its library

Very simple - if you do you will destroy your iPhoto library and have to start over losing all work you have done in iPhoto - The iPHoto library is a SQLite database and there are NO user servicable parts in the iPhoto library and any changes made using teh finder will corrupt the database and cause dataloss
